This is a lovely solid sterling silver box standing on four legs. Probably originally used as a pill box, decorated with a cartouche on the lid with an image depicting an Art Nouveau style lady. A unusual and lovely art deco flying duck change tray/ ash tray. This unique heavy copper/ bronze plated tray depicts a duck taking flight up out of the reeds and the lake. Marked on the bottom"21 A" in tiny print. It measures 5-3/4” x 5” x 1-1/2" tall. It weighs 1 pound and 13.5 ounces. A very heavy metal-a magnet does NOT stick to it. In the bowl where the plating is worn. The metal looks white. On the bottom- in the interior- the metal looks bronze? It is in good used condition with wear to the plating in the bowl of the ash tray. No breaks or cracks.

Art Nouveau Gorham Sterling Mirror Brush poppy morning glory design Cochran est
This auction is for a sterling. Gorham, dresser, brush and mirror in the art nouveau style, with vines, poppies and morning glories. The brush and mirror came from a historic Los Angeles family, George Ira Cochran. His mansion still stands in the West Adams section of Los Angeles. The mirror measures 9 3/4" long by 5 1/2" wide. The brush measures 8" long by 3" wide. The mirror has several dents on the corners and upper edge of the mirror. The mirror itself has moved upward and there are areas of damage to the silvering. The beveled mirror is still in useable condition. The back of the mirror aside from the dents on the edges, has slight wear from age and use. The repousse morning glories in the top left side of the back of the mirror have 3 small holes in the edges of the flowers. There is a small hole in the left leaf ... moreright below the rising sun at the base of the brush. The brush has shallow dents to the two upper corners.There is a small, pin head size dent about 1 inch above the monogram on the brush back and at the top edge of the brush. There are two splits in the silver on either side of the handle on the brush side that measure 1/8" The brush has some broken bristles on both edges. There is miscellaneous tarnish on both the brush and mirror. I've described the damage but this brush and mirror are spectacular pieces of art nouveau silver. The detailing is fantastic. Both brush and mirror are stamped"Sterling" The brush has number 962 and the mirror has number 972. Both pieces carry the Gorham lion and anchor mark. A wonderful old pair of folding casket stands with an eerie Art Nouveau portrait of a lovely young woman with flowing hair. These have been nicely restored and polished. They appear to have been silver plated, only traces remain. About 13lbs each and 22” tall, they would make a spectacular coffee table with the right piece of glass. Very good condition. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Bronze Lamp and Smoker's Stand Art Nouveau Era
This Bronze stand has two Bradley& Hubbard Makers' Marks on the bottom of the base and on the bottom of the removable threaded ashtray. The piece has an overall height of 28 inches and is 12 inches wide at its widest part. It is made from what appears to be very heavy solid bronze with the original chocolate patina intact. Truly a collector's piece! Please note that the threading which the ashtray screws into is slightly bent and may need to be replaced which is a simple fix. Purchased at a local estate from the 62 yr old granddaughter of the original owner. This piece is ALL original with Velvet Chenille upholstery. Pix taken in natural light with color true to depiction. Bench measures 18 1/2 high and 32" long. The seat is 11 1/2" wide and very sturdy. Cast iron frame with a bronze patina wash. Have not been able to find any info on the signed manufacture of Congress Specialty co, Chicago as depicted in pix#s 9& 10. There is another marking on inside leg of 39 G.S in pix# 6. Pix# 11 shows a little rust on bottom of one leg. Upholstery is still sturdy. Does have a few places where Her cat chose to sharpen her claws so there are a few loose threads. But no major shredding. The ashtrays have aluminum upper and copper bottoms. The bottoms have a few dings as depicted in pix#5. Do Not know if ashtrays ... moreoriginally had handles. Seeing two small holes on top of them, i asked the granddaughter, but she never recalled seeing handles on them. With french Cabriole legs and Art Nouveau styling this is truly a rare beauty from the turn of the century. Please look at all pix enlarged as this is 90% of the description. Vintage Art Nouveau Cameo Earrings Carved Glass Clip On - Unusual
Here is a stunning pair of Vintage Carved Glass Cameo Earrings. They are very unusual. The glass is milky white and may be a gemstone. Each earring has two cameos. The top one. An oval, measures 3/4" x 1/2" and the bottom round one measures 2 3/8" in diameter. The two cameos are attached by art nouveau decorative antique brass and highlighted by three faux pearls on each side. One of the pearls has lost it's luster coating and could be replaced. They are clip ons and are not signed. Excellent condition- a cleaning couldn't hurt. Very nice!
