Antique, door pulls made by"Yale& ... moreTowne" of Stamford, CT circa 1905. Each pull has a large back plate, a thumb latch, and a handle. All parts are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron. Included are also 4 nuts to secure the handles, and 2 pins to secure the thumb latches. The pulls have an Art Nouveau design called. Florian. Originally, the recessed areas, between the raised details, were covered with black, enamel paint. The parts where the paint wore off are now covered with some light, bright patina(rust) We acquired these pulls about 2 years ago. And at the point of salvage, all parts were dirty and rusty. We cleaned them, but never got around to posting them on eBay. Since we didn't lacquer or coat them any sort of finish to prevent rusting, they formed a patina. You could darken the rusty areas by simply rubbing the rusty areas with an oil-soaked cloth. The beauty of the pulls is only matched by their superb condition! Aside from the typical small nicks& light scratches here and there. Which are common for 100+ year old hardware; all parts a free of breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. One of the ends of the handles has some pitting(corrosion) see last photo) It's light. Surface deep, and is of no structural threat. It actually adds another, nice distressed element to their design. Antique Art Nouveau Stained Glass Window Pink Blue Amber Great Size
For auction is a beautiful antique art nouveau stained glass window that is ready for display. The first two pictures show it with natural light shining through the pink. Blue and amber object and the opaque field glass. It is mounted in its original window frame. The natural side(inside) has been stripped of paint but whoever did it should have spent a little more time on it. The painted side(outside) shows that the window needs to be reglazed- a simple task. If you plan to remove the window from this frame, most of your work is already done as there is not much more glazing that needs to be removed. There is some missing wood on one side of the frame(from rough removal from the house in which it was located) but this damage is minor and cannot be seen from the front. This is a WMF Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik silverplate Art Nouveau or Jugendstil cake server. It is marked on the back"WMFN" It is in a classical Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style with the sinuous floral design. The floral design is on a granulated type of surface with a smooth border. This is a family piece. It was given to my mother when she left Germany for America in the 1940s by her 85 year old great great aunt. It has been a cherished keepsake and rarely used. I gave it a hand polish and could not see any scratches or dings. It bears normal wear for an item of its age.

Each piece has a sterling silver frame raised on six decorative feet. The sterling exteriors are done in an openwork form and are cast with small saytres playing apan flute and urns full of flowers amongst sinuous leaves. Each salt cellar has a red glass liner. Here is a lovely sterling souvenir spoon for Monte Vista. Colorado. Art nouveau influence with a nude lifting her arms toward a flower. Marked on the back Sterling with the Paye& Baker Mfg. Co. logo of P&B in hearts. It measures approx. 5-1/2" long and weighs 3/4 of an ounce on my postal scale. I don't polish my silver as I think the winner buyer wants to determine how shiny they want their item. It does have patina and the usual light scratches from age and possible use. Copper Platter Tray With Ceramic Art Nouveau Floral Insert Plate
A beautiful copper and ceramic serving tray or platter from the Arts and Crafts era. 12 inches diameter by 15-1/2 inches wide across the handles. The center is a glossy antique china plate decorated with a hand painted circular floral design in mauve pink, purple, green and yellow in the Art Nouveau style. Surrounding and permanently attached to the rim of the plate is a 1-1/4" copper frame with brass tab handles. The frame has a pierced flower decoration all the way around. The plate has no chips. Cracks, or crazing but there are a couple of discolored yellow age spots near the edges(about the 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions in the first photo) The plate has a couple of impressed markings that cannot be read. Small Art Nouveau Spelter Jewellery Casket, Original Lining, Poss Jennings Bros.
I have for sale a small early 20th century Art Nouveau spelter(or possibly pewter) jewellery casket. Standing on four foliate scrolled feet and decorated to the sides and top with floral swags over a textured ground, the hinged lid having a rope twist border. The inside is fully fitted with what I assume is the original lining of pale blue ruched fabric over card, finished around the edges with decorative cord. The box shows faint traces of an original silvered finish to the details. There are no clear maker's marks but it is very much in the style of Jennings Bros. of Bridgeport Connecticut. The box measures approximately 10 cm(4 inches) by 7 cm(2.75 inches) at the widest point and stands approx 7 cm(2.75 inches) to the top of the domed lid. This is quite a heavy little piece for its size. Weighing 341 grams. Condition is very good for ... moreage. There are no dents and no major scratching or marking to the box. The hinges are sound and work well. Unsurprisingly the blue lining is a little faded and dusty. But it is intact with no fraying or staining. Antique French black purple Art Nouveau valance w/ trim
~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ What a textile! ~ This textile is a wonderful find. It is a French. Antique valance dating c1890-1910. This textile was made using a wonderful Art Nouvea fabric, with a gorgeous black ground and the floral design uses purples!~ Very rare color to find in these printed fabric of this time~*~ the other colors are: khaki( faded) and the tone that would have been an off-white in its day, is now a rather grey white tone. The fabric of this valance is a 100% cotton, cretonne weave. The top of the valance has a glorious trim, made from a twisted long length of this fabric, and the inner core of this is a jute like fiber! ~ really fascinating find!~ This twisted trim at the top has come unraveled on the left side, but can be swisted and sewn back in place easily! The trim is a wool bobble trim and runs along ... morethe bottom of the scallop and ends so that the last scallop on the left does not have the bobble trim. This textile is both hand and machine stitched. The scallops are all hand stitched and pleated in place. This textile is in original as found condition, unwashed with light storage dirt. There are some hand stitched darns in the fabric( quite charming) and a couple of small holes in this textile. The left side( as mentioned above) will need to be repaired and the top trim twisted back in place. There is a small panel on the far end, just on the end that has been torn and can be re-joined to the fabric. LOVELY IRIDESCENT ART NOUVEAU GLASS BOWL KRALIK OR PALME KONIG
A beautiful Czech/Bohemian Art Nouveau iridescent or opalescent glass vase. Which I am told is by Kralik or Palme Konig. It is approximately 4 1/4 inches( 10.8 cms) high and 5 1/2 inches(14 cms) wide. It is decorated with a glass overlay in iridescent green like the colours in a peacock and has a fluted wavy rim. It is in lovely condition and has no markings or signatures, but there is a pontil mark on the bottom. This will be very securely packed and sent via a trackable service as economically as possible. This is a set of 49 pieces in the 1910 pattern Sheraton by Oneida. Included is the following: seven 9 5/8" hollow-handled knives. Six 8 1/8" serving spoons, six 6" salad forks, five 6" teaspoons, eight 7.5" forks, four 7" forks, four 6" butter spreaders(three with a P monogram) two 5.5" round-bowl soup/bouillon spoons, three 6.5" fruit knives, one 5 7/8" sugar spoon, one 6 5/8" cheese server/knife, one 9" berry/casserole spoon, and one 8.5" meat serving fork(with an M monogram) The pieces have noticeable wear from handling and use, some more than others. Nonetheless, they are in acceptable condition and would make an ideal addition to an elegant mealtime occasion. I can ship the(worn) flatware box to the buyer if the buyer covers the box's cost of shipping. Ornamental eating ... moreutensils. Especially non-essential pieces, were indicators of status and wealth for middle-class households up until the mid- to late-20th century. An ever-expanding selection of flatware pieces, from tomato servers to asparagus prongs to baby food pushers, demonstrated that the owner had the money to spend on these costly and unnecessary but desirable pieces. Flatware started to become a status symbol when silver-plating techniques were invented in the mid-19th century. Although the middle-class could not afford sterling flatware as could the wealthy, silver-plate was available for them to both emulate their wealthy counterparts and to demonstrate their own wealth. From this point on, the growing middle-class of the United States used flatware as a type of“conspicuous consumption” to demonstrate their wealth. This Art Nouveau serving bowl is marked THE HOMAN MANUFACTURING COMPANY OF CINCINNATI which WAS FOUNDED IN 1847 BY HENRY HOMAN AND ASA FLAGG. FROM 1847 TO 1896. THE NAME OF THEIR COMPANY WAS HOMAN AND COMPANY. WITH MANY OF THEIR EARLY WARES MARKED“FLAGG& HOMAN” PRIMARILY. THEIR WARES WERE MADE OF A WHITE METAL ALLOY BRITANNIA. THEIR“SPECIAL METAL” BRITANNIA IS A PEWTER-LIKE METAL MADE FROM TIN THAT IS HARDENED BY ADDING SMALL AMOUNTS OF COPPER AND ANTIMONY. PEWTER WAS KNOWN AS THE“POOR MANS” SILVER.
