The workmanship is superb and reminiscent of pieces by William B. Kerr. Antique Art Nouveau Repousse Picture Frame. Fishel Nessler F.N. Co. This is a beautiful antique gold tone metal frame, having a design of a cherub with bow and arrow on top and a gorgyle on bottom. It is marked on the back, F.N. Co. Over all measures 6 3/8" x 5" across. Opening for picture measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" This frame has no glass insert, I am not sure what the metal is, as it is not identified. Art Nouveau? Silverplate Compote, Mermaids and Hallmarks
This Compote is silverplated with two Hallmarks. One is a Bugle and I can't make out the other mark. Four Mermaids holding the bowl from the base. It has the Art Nouvea look but. I am not an expert on that period. It is lightly tarnished and in"as found" condition. No apparent damage, dings or dents, just normal wear, great condition for it;s age. Approx. 7" tall, top is approx. 7" in diameter, the base is approx. 5" in diameter and the Mermaids are almost 2" tall. A great piece to add to any silver collection or for any Mermaid lovers! This antique. Circa-1900, Art Nouveau Bronze Mirror with gilded accents is unsigned. But equal to anything Bradley& Hubbard ever made. This table top mirror is in great condition with only some light surface wear. In the photograph of the back of the mirror you will see a few scratches. Art Nouveau Deco Cast Bronze Boudoir Dresser Nightstand Lamp w/ Trinket/Pin Tray
This reproduction Art Nouveau boudoir dresser nightstand light is very well made from cast bronze. It has a pin/trinket tray in the footed base. The shade is off white lace with fringe around the bottom. The lamp uses a night light bulb(not included) or any bulb with a small socket fitting up to 25W. The lamp measures between 8.5"10" tall with the shade in place. Depending on which type bulb is used. The base is 5.5"x8.5" and has a molded tray for holding trinkets. It has a switch on the cord as shown in the picture. This lamp was purchased at J.C. Penney in the 1990's and was used only in a guest room, so mainly was just displayed. It still has the J.C. Penny tag on the bottom as shown. What looks like scratching in the tray are actually manufacturing marks and they are not nearly as bad as they look in the photos. ... moreThey are barely visible. Pat. 8- 26- 24, the number 6 and a"X" It stands 26 inches tall; the base is 8 inches across and the top is 5 3/4 inches square. No ashtray. The opening for one is 4 inches across x 1 inch deep. The top and base are a cast steel and the stem is wood with Gesso designs. Towards the bottom the Gesso is worn off as pictured. The cast top features what looks to be an Owl in each corner. At least that is how I read the hallmarks. But please do correct me if I am wrong. This lovely case measures about 3 and 1/4 inches by not quite 2 inches. The front has a very fancy monogram that looks like NG to me, but your guess is as good as mine. The interior is gold washed. The maker's mark is JW, which based on my research stands for J. Walker. Art Nouveau Vase of Wood with Hand Hammered Copper Cover
A unique copperwork vase from the Art Nouveau workshops. It appears to be signed by Sarah Charles. The vase is made of wood and covered with a thin sheet of hand hammered copper in a lovely floral design. The design and detail is fantastic! Measures 4" square at the base. Just under 3" square at the top, and is 10.75" tall. One small tear in the copper cladding near the base on one side, but this item is 120 years old, and this is the only damage I can see. Another shows a women leaning over; another shows a crusader behind a shield and holding a lance and a horse behind him, anoerh whos a crusader or possibly Jesus holding a cross and a book, and then there 5 in the set that appear to show a mermaid swimming and holding ... morean orb! We are really unsure of the meaning or connection between these spoons but they appear to have been a set all with the same marks and same shape; matt gold washed bowls. Gorgeous Art Nouveau Taille' dEpergne design all the way around. Under the loop, the only wear I can find is very slight on the top of the buckle- very slight! There is a safety chain and the closure is slightly off( see photo) that can easily be adjusted. It DOES close but not strongly- needs pulled more level. I don't like playing with these antique pieces. Will leave that up to the buyer to have done.
