Vintage Iconic 1930s Art Deco Machine Age Moderne Table Lamp Edward Kent
For your perusal: A very clean chrome. Bakelite, and aluminum table lamp from the thirties. A lamp that, I believe. Was designed by Edward Kent, a noted 30's art deco designer. I t stands 22" The aluminum shade is dent free. And the only flaw is a very minor loss of chrome on the base. See last pic. I also have two other art deco lighting listings on ebay. Art Deco Saturn BLUE Painted Glass Lamp from 1939. This is not a reproduction. The inspiration was the space theme of that World’s Fair as well as the sphere and triangle of the Fair. SIZE: It measures 11" tall and has a 5” wide base. CONDITION: This lamp is an original SATURN LAMP in good condition with very little paint loss as shown in pictures. Paint is somewhat"weak" but 95% intact. Only one star seems to be missing. But not bad, even there. It works well and displays beautifully whether lit or not. Lamp Shade Glass Art Deco Vintage Light Blue Frosted Clear Glass Ball Shapes
This is a beautiful heavy pressed clear and frosted light blue glass globe for a ceiling light fixture. It has an Art Deco look to it. The topmost portion is 10 1/2" in diameter and it slopes inward and downward to a lower diameter of 4 1/2" The sloped portion has 5 sections of ribbed frosted glass separated by clear glass with a ball motif of graduating sizes. The bottom section is ribbed and clear and has a 3/8" diameter hole for attaching to the fixture. I found no nicks or chips or cracks; it is in very good condition and is absolutely gorgeous. Total height is about 4" It will be carefully packed and insured which is reflected in the S&H amount.

INCREDIBLE ANTIQUE ART DECO SIGNED "RAINAUD" BRIDGE LAMP -1920'S-
RAINAUD" Art Deco Bridge Lamp-1920's- SO MUCH AMAZING DETAIL TO SEE. Rainaud was in business from the teens to about 1930 and they were based in CT. They made beautiful highly ornate pieces and they specialized in floor and table lamps. I picked this from the basement of a home near Cambridge University in the Boston area. So its likely this lamp traveled from CT to the Boston area where it remained for the next nearly 100 years. Fully rewired with period correct cloth wire and an antique style plug. I fitted her with a re-furbished antique hubbel fatboy socket with an acorn pull chain. Antique fitter that holds shade is stamped"pattend applied for March 1920" Finished in deep antique brass with antique gold highlights. Antique cut glass prism. I cant say enough about the beautiful design and the high quality of the luminaire. ... moreThese Rainaud lamps are very rare. I buy antique lighting nearly every week. I an constantly searching for interesting pieces. This is the only one I have ever seen in person. The Rainaud table lamps are out there but these bridge lamps are exceedingly rare. The essentials are new but the look is purely vintage 1920's Art Deco. Antique glass shade is in great condition too. Antique Art Deco Ornate Bridge Floor Lamp Rainaud Cast Iron Base/Head
59 3/4" to the top of the lamp. 51" to the bottom of the socket. Head is 10 3/4" wide by 12 1/4" tall. Head possibly had a small protrusion sticking out just above where my finger is pointing. The end looks pretty blunt but not smooth there but is painted over the same as the rest. Base is Rainaud B195 and is 10" wide. Base and head are cast iron. Pipe is steel or iron. Switch is newer and is a pull chain one way and working. Socket end is threaded for screwing on a shade. Screw holding the socket on is newer. Wall plug is missing it's cardboard protective end cap. Wiring looks to have been updated in maybe the 70's or 80's and looks decent but does have some age on it. I am going to disassemble this for shipping. Everything just screws back together. Wonderful estate find-Art Deco table lamp with clock(movement by Sessions) Light and clock work when plugged in and the round thing in back spins very fast when plugged in. Indicating that the clock movement is nicely intact(I don't know what that round thing is called-sorry) True Art Deco style with the vertical column in front that allows the light to shoot up. See all pics and use zoom-there are small oxidation spots and the turn dial area of the clock has greenish oxidation. I will let the new owner take care of this. Measures 11 1/2 inches high, 4 1/8 inches across, and 5 1/2 inches across the base. When I was handling the clock my thumb poked the edge of the cloth cover on bottom so there is a loose area of cloth on 1 part-not a big deal but I like to disclose all details. Vintage Art Deco Hand Paintted Glass Bed Headboard Reading Lamp Light- Works This is a vintage art deco headboard lamp that is a bright white with a pretty handpainted floral glass cylinder. One end of the glass cylinder was cracked and taped as seen. This is the area where the end cap slides in the metal holder. The cap area overlaps the glass and most of this area is covered by the metal. A small portion of the cracked taped area is on the glass cylinder which can be rotated if desired. I showed the cord where the outer covering was gone and put tape around those areas. Wanted you to see the cord was fine but if desired could be replaced. A brown tape would look better but used what I had to show the area. There is a on off switch on the cord and works fine. Measures 7" long by almost 3" wide with a 6 foot cord. It has brackets ... morefor hanging on the back of the headboard. The bulb is 40 watt but could be lower. There are two screws on the bracket which when loosened makes gettint the cylinder on and off easier when the light bulb needs changing. The end caps are in nice condition but vintage. Up for bids is a fantastic Art Nouveau or early Art Deco wall light with a beaded Bohemian or Czech glass fringe. It measures about 16" the light being about 10" and the fringe measuring about 6" The usual minor roughness around the rim of the shade and one very small flake(pin head size) on the rim. A few strands of the glass beads are missing but most of it is still intact. The light is pull chain operated but could easily be hard wired. The end of the pull chain even has a cute acorn finial. COOL ANTIQUE ART DECO BRONZED CHERUB PIANO OR DESK LAMP W/LUSTRES, 1920's
Cool antique art deco bronzed cherub piano or desk lamp 1920s* This is a really cool looking antique art deco era bronzed cherub piano or desk lamp. The lamp is about 15 inches tall when the adjustable arm is up. The base is 5 1/2 inches wide. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a pretty ruby and amber glass beaded pull on the chain. The metal shade has a pretty decorative pierced brass border with 36 fire polished bohemian crystal lustres decorating it. The cherub is seated on white marble. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. This is a magnificent vintage antique Art Deco wrought iron and marble top Demi lune console table with an attached etched mirror that is topped of by a bonnet/ canopy bouquet light. Circa 1930. These are usually sets in two separate pieces but this is one piece( although it is made to come apart for moving) This is one of the best I have ever seen. VINTAGE ART DECO Soapstone lamp CIRCA 1930 NEW WIRING Pink white, Silk (?) shade
Ships FREE to all 50 states! You are buying one vintage lamp plus one vintage shade. Light bulb included. This lamp was completely rewired. New wiring(8ft 18 gauge cord) New 3-way socket interior and liner with original socket shell(has an excellent patina) I feel confident the lamp is from the late 1920's. The base is stamped'Germany' and the bottom stone has a hand carved'Italy' that can't be seen until the lamp is disassembled. See pictures) The socket interior was an old porcelain Leviton push switch. They began using in the 1920's. Along with the style of the lamp I think'circa 1930' is appropriate. Lamps stands 14.5 inches tall with shade. The body of the lamp is two carved pieces of soapstone. The carving is just imperfect enough to assume it was hand carved. The base piece is a beautiful blush pink ... morethat variegates to a lighter pink then a white in spots. Especially on the bottom of the stone. The top is milky white, carved thin enough to be slightly transparent in the center. Look close enough and you can see the lamp pipe! There are spots of damage to the soapstone where it was"banged" into and scratched. I found this lamp. Not wrapped, in the BOTTOM of a box holding a partly disassembled brass chandelier. No mystery where those dings came from! Soapstone is mostly talc and other minerals so it's damages easily, it's very soft. When I reassembled the lamp I rotated the stones so that the bulk of the damaged spots are facing the back but please look the pictures over for yourself. The base is some kind of composite metal. Sort of styled like a pedestal. A plain square topped by a smaller one. Embellished with a detailed border and little swags. See pictures. There is some finish wear and some complete finish loss in spots. The largest is at the back of the lamp though. This could easily be refinished or at least"patched" in the major spot.
