For your consideration we are offering this magnificent antique Art Deco swing arm bridge lamp circa 1920s. Overall this fine piece measures in at 62"H. The bridge arm extends an approximate 13" from the lamp base. The piece appears to have been designed by Oscar Bach however the cast iron base is not signed. Clearly the overall lines of the lamp are unusual and beautiful. Of special interest the bridge arm swivels a full 360 degrees permitting any position of illumination. The socket/ head mechanism swivels up and down as well. Condition is excellent as shown: The fixture is in perfect working order, it has been rewired. The body of the piece is void of damage. The original polychrome paint has a few areas of wear consistent with age/ use but presents beautifully as pictured. We use these all around the house both here in France and in the UK. They work well with low energy bulbs. We just have too many of these. This stunning little art deco lamp is a feast for the eyes. The detail on the petal base and tiered shade are exquisite. It is done in a satin finish except for the ball shaped center font. Which is transparent glass. Are deco motifs and shapes cover the piece top to bottom. For your consideration. I have a very nice early 1900's Antique Marble Angel Cherub Lamp with two pull switch Benjamin brass sockets. Although this beauty does work, the wiring souls be restored before using. I displayed it for some time with limited use. Frayed wires, see photos. The shade and bulbs ARE NOT included, just for demonstration. It measure 23 1/3 bottom to finial. The stone is either marble or onyx. Angels are one both side. Please note: the bottom of angel attachment on both side has broken, easy repair with JB weld. Not necessary for use or display, only noticeable when handing lamp. Antique 4 Light Art Deco ABCO Candelabra Floor Lamp w/ Onyx Base & Tray Table
This is a nice unique vintage floor lamp with tray attached for use as an end table. Four working sockets on top, and an excellent, smooth, shiny, undamaged onyx piece on the base. The three side lights can be lit one, two, or all three at a time by the switch in the middle, and the top socket has it's own switch. I don't have a shade for it, but there is a brass finial on top to attach a shade. The cord looks relatively old(not original) but in good condition. The bottom is marked ABCO and numbered 460. The metal is finished in a bronzy gold color and the tray has a copper finish. Most metal parts have a darkened patina from age, typical wear(light scuffs, scratches, finish loss) and greenish spots of oxidation, but it is in good condition overall. The lamp measures 59" H x 9" W at the sockets, 12 W at the base, and the ... moretable measures about 13 3/4" in diameter. It's made of what I think is molded plexi-glass with a faux rose stem imbedded in the plastic. It is neither yellowed nor cloudy. The colors of the rose and leaves are bright. The cord is old. But it works. The only problem I see is that the light bulb is glued into the back of the piece so I'm not sure how you would remedy a burned out bulb. I tried to pull it out but it wouldn't budge and I didn't want to force it. One of the smaller towns in my area has an annual once a year sale. Where the whole town participates. I found this beauty today, along with many other gems. I am not sure if this is Pottery or Porcelain. Figural Nudes all around the piece and with an Art Deco Nouveau flair. I was told from the 30's or 40's this morning and they were not sure of the maker either. Since there's no marks- other then on the hardware itself. Lamp works and is truly elegant! This is a unique piece of decorative art signed by the artist. I read as L. Alliob. I keep thinking this hammer wielding boy is a character from some legend. Story, or myth that I just can't bring to mind. It definitely grabs your attention. The boy with his hammer and the frosted globe with a hole with radiating lines, up on a rock surface. The lamp measures 7 1/4" tall by 6" long by 3 3/4" wide. As you see in the picture, the bottom is rough and it appears someone took off the covering-perhaps to replace the cord. The electric bulb is an oblong and has a 3/4" base-very unusual. The lamp is cast metal with gold finish. It is very nice condition! Please ask any questions you may have.
