You're bidding on a pair of color chromolithographic prints- they were originally plates from a folio entitled"Masterpieces of Industrial Art& Sculpture at the International Exhibition. 1862" published in 1862 by Day& Sons, Lithographers To The Queen" The exhibition was an early World's Fair. The prints are a nice size- 11 1/2" X 16 5/8" on heavy stock paper, with vivid beautiful coloration. One print, The Glass Case" features an enormous and elaborate display case, and the other, Hall Table" is of a marble-topped ornate table with mirror and ornate design. Truly Victorian decadence of design. Antique Wood Gesso Furniture/Frame Mold 19th C For your consideration is this beautiful wooden Antique Gesso Mold dating to the 19thc. It resembles a Fleur de lis pattern. Which is impressed into the wood. I believe the wood is made of walnut, but am not certain. It is a solid piece and has a good weight to it. It is numbered on top and sides#2672. These molds were used for either furniture and/or decorative frames. As noted above, there is a chip to the lower left corner and scuffing to upper right corner. Overall normal ware due to aging. Macey Co. Map Surveyor's Case Antique Furniture Piece Grand Rapids MI
This is a very rare map case used in what I presume to be a Minnesota County Office or Reality Office. There was old business cards in it from Ryan Realty in Minneapolis. MN. This is a beautiful piece that could be re-purposed for end tables or coffee tables. It is very cool in that it already breaks apart into four separate stackable pieces. Or what it really deserves, probably, is to be put in a history museum to hold old documents. I believe it to be made by The Macey Co. which operated in Grand Rapids, MI from 1896 to 1940. Antique carved wood American Art Architectural Salvage Figure, Man, Furniture
A nice piece of architectural salvage carved out of wood ~ figure of a man. A duke, a musketeer? It probably came off of a mantel or large piece of furniture. He is old and somewhat fragile. There has been some repair work on his neck where he has cracked up the sides. There is a small brad in his neck and on the top where a piece was loose. The base has some cracks in it and a few loose pieces which may need gluing. There is a hole in the back of his head where he was mounted at one time. He is still an amazing piece of history and you will love him! Check out photos for further idea on condition and detail. Antique Oak Desk and Matching Chair For Sale. The desk measures 47" long.30" tall and 26" wide.The chair slides under it. There are 2 wide drawers on top and 3 drawers on the side. The second drawer needs some repair work done on it. Has some damage inside. The back of the desk has a splintered piece.See picture. This is nothing major. The repairs are minimum and we used it just find without fixing it. We never used the drawer and the issue in back no one could see.
