The inside of the hem and the lining are edged in velvet. The bodice is boned and the closure is hook-and-eye. The pleated neck is trimmed with a self-ruffle and bow. The waist is also accented with a band of the same fabric and a bow in the back. Note the pleating details in the center back of the bodice and more in the skirt(to accommodate a bustle) The dress is a museum de-acquisition and proceeds will go to support that institution. Size: The waist of the bodice is 26" Across the back underarms measures 14" Doubled that would make the bust 28" but the style of this bodice allows for a few more inches in bust size. The length of the center back of the bodice is 16 1/2" The skirt waist measures 20" but as you can see in the photos. Someone had added a somewhat makeshift extension to that. The center front of the skirt is 40" long from the waist. Age: Period Original. Late 1800s. Condition Report: Very good but the dress does have a few issues. There is some torn lace(mostly at the edge of one sleeve) There are also some rust/age spots and a few tiny pinholes in the twill fabric. There is some tearing along the hem of the lining and the velvet bands along the interior hems is stained and has a few holes that are visible only on the inside of the dress. As early as 1893 folding beds began to decline in popularity. So the company changed its name and its products to roll-top desks, sectional bookcases, letter filing devices, and similar goods. By 1896 the company boasted that it produced 80 styles of desks. In the 1910s and‘20s the company produced sectional bookcases that included a module with pigeonholes and a fold-down desktop. Cases were made in walnut. Mahogany, imitation mahogany, and quartered oak. In 1920 Gunn introduced its trademark“Lino” desks and cafeteria style tables. Which had wood frames and black linoleum surfaces that worked much like a chalkboard. This School desk top can be written on like a chalkboard. The desk is solid Oak. And is in Original Condition, with the original aged patina. It features square head bolts. And dovtailed drawers. Lino top has aged character. As does this entire scarce style Gunn Furniture Co. The pull on the left cupboard door of the buffet is broken. The hutch has four hidden silverware drawers in the side locking panel with original skeleton key and measures 42” wide by 18” deep by 69” high. There is one nick on the front of the hutch. Old Moor's Head Miniature Delft Chair This is a very beautiful hand painted Delft miniature armchair. It is a wonderful example of Delftware and would look great with an antique doll. The chair is painted on all sides with fantastic lake scenes and sailboats. I find this to be an exquisite piece! It also goes very well with a table that is currently up for sale. It is signed with one of the Old Moor's Head marks under the glaze. If this is authentic. And I am no expert, this piece likely dates to the 1700s. I got this from the estate of a serious Delft collector along with some other pieces up for sale. Miniature pieces of this caliber are very hard to find and this one is no exception. Three antique Paw Foot Brass furniture feet. I believe these are solid brass. They measure 3" x 3 1/2" and are 2 1/4" tall the opening is approx. 1 3/8 x 1 3/8. They weight approx. 1 1/2 lbs each. These were taken off of a round table that I believe to be from the early 1900's. The table itself was too far gone to be salvaged. But I could not stand to let these beautiful feet go by the wayside. You can see the patina on them, for some reason especially the one on the left. Just a great set.

Antique carved oak Green man panel footstool Traditional furniture wood carving
An old footstool. With a carved Gothic panel top depicting the"Green Man" of English folklore. The panel looks quite a bit older than the legs. I suspect that the panel originally came from some other piece of furniture. And was converted into a footstool, perhaps some time in the 20th century? The top is three-quarters of an inch thick. And measures 14 1/2 inches x 6 1/2 inches Altogether a nice decorative piece. With a good traditional country theme. The edges of the top panel have clearly been scuffed and knocked quite a lot. Particularly along the edge which is the"bottom" of the picture- the long edge beneath the Green Man's chin. Condition: Good condition. With no major damage, but plenty of marks, scuffs and scrapes from normal use. The panel that forms the top of the stool appears to be considerably older than ... morethe base and legs. It stands well. With just a little play if you wiggle the legs. It is a perfectly adequate footstool. But I don't think it is quite solid enough to sit on.
