Antique 1860s Black Marble French Mantel Clock by S. Marti Medaille DeBronze
This French Mantel Clock is quite wonderful. It is made of black marble. The maker is S. Marti Medaille DeBronze. 4 11. It measures approximately12x6x9. The back opening has the little cloth lining so the chimes are soft. It is an 8-day movement and strikes on the hour and half hour. It works very well. There is an inlay design on each side. The face has a little damage as you can see in the photos. The glass casing over the face is all original and beveled. There is a small piece of marble broken off on the back top and is not noticable from the front at all. There is an engraving on the back that reads"131JOBC with 66 88" beneath it. Very clean and beautiful clock for 119 years old! T he face dial is sil ver nickel painted marked Gilbert under the hands and made by Winsted Conn. USA marked at the very bottom of the dial. G lass dome with brass bezel that was painted also has some paint loss. The clock has a hole with S F w here you can use the small key end to adjust the clock if it runs faster or slower; Engraved and painted black Arabic numbers. Four Seasons decoration on corners of face with an interior scene from"Cotter's Saturday Night" on the crest. This famous poem was written by Scotland's Robert Burns during the winter of 1785. Antique Italianate Mantle Clock with Chimes & Key
LOVELY ITALIANATE MANTLE CLOCK Very attractive timepiece! I'm not a clock expert at all. So I haven't cleaned or attempted to mess with the mechanics of this piece. The pendulum, gong, striker and chime are all there and the cogs move freely, but the clock seems over-wound. It chimed the hour& half hour for me when I gently moved the hands manually as you do when re-setting any clock, and it ran for a few minutes several times simply by moving it. Someone with more knowledge could probably get it going regularly. It's made of wood with a leatherette faux-marble appearance in gold& green on dark brown. Housing of clock seems to be bakelite. Roman columns and bronzed mounts/feet/handles give this piece a very distinctive and formal look. 10-3/4"H x 16-1/4"W[including feet] x 6-1/4"D. Brass door bezel is 5-3/4" ... morewide. Key has two ends; the larger fits the two winding holes in the lower part of the face. The smaller end fits the smaller hole at the top of the face. But doesn't appear to be effective. It does need recalibration- the chimes are three hours off the face time. In the right hands. A gem! Customer satisfaction is#1! Antique Sessions Store Regulator"E" Calendar Wall Clock 39" Tall Sessions Regulator Calendar Clock This listing is for a Sessions Regulator“E” wall clock manufactured by the Sessions Clock Co. The clock is fairly large. At 39" tall, 18" wide, and 5” deep. It has a time and calendar movement. Most of the original label is still present(see photos) as well as a label from an earlier servicing back in the 1930’s. The clock was just serviced. Cleaned, and oiled, so it runs perfectly when properly leveled, and it is currently keeping time. Also, the time can also be adjusted by turning the race screw on the bottom of the pendulum, so if it's off by a pinch, it is easily remedied. In addition, the pendulum was cleaned and it is now bright and shiny…looks great. The close-up photo of the pendulum was taken prior to cleaning. ... moreThe clock was manufactured in 1908. The dial hands are the old style and look nice and fancy. It looks like to top glass was replaced and that must have been over 40 years ago. As it has been in the possession of a friend for that many years. The lower glass is original. The door and wood are solid and the complete casing is in great condition. It looks like the it was stained a darker color(again, some time ago) and it is in excellent condition. The dial face may be a replacement, again done many years ago. VINTAGE CLOCK FEET Set of 4 vintage clock feet. They are bronze colored. The larger ones are approx 2 3/4" wide. 2 1/2" deep and 2 1/4" high. The smaller ones are approx 2 1/2" wide, 1 1/2" deep and 5/8" high They are in very good condition. The only flaw I see is a small split at the point of one of the small feet.

ANTIQUE FRENCH CLOCK STAND/BASE Antique French clock base/stand with marble-like inserts(I don't know the exact material. But they are translucent) that have decorative metal inserts within them. There were some notes that came with the base that mentioned 19th century"gilt bronze" but again, I don't know details. The base is approx 15" wide. 5 1/2" at it's widest(center) 5 1/2" high and is heavy, weighing in at over 5 pounds. On inspection. I don't see anything broken, though there was something that screwed into the left and right sides(see holes) that were most likely support legs since this doesn't sit level the way it is. The face in the center is screwed in. Also, the back of the base looks like it was re-coated with a lighter gold material. I know little about vintage clocks. The dial is mounted into decorative brass bezel and protected by original beveled glass. This clock front has a copper tone finish and in great condition. Use it as is. Or make it a project. This is a spelter horse sold to set atop possibly a Gilbert. Seth Thomas or Ansonia clock. Manufactured in the late 1800's or early 1900's to decorate mantle clocks. This topper still has much of the original bronze finish. It is in very nice antique condition with no damage. Topper is 8 1/8" W x 3 3/8" deep 6 3/4" hoof to ear tip, 7 5/8" Table to ear tip. Antique Seth Thomas Tambour Mantel Clock Winchester Chime Movement#124 For Parts or Restoration. This is a nice wood antique Seth Thomas clock. It measures approx 20 1/2” wide x 9” tall x 6” deep(not including back door knob) The wood case is in good shape but does have some"crackling" to the varnish probably from being stored in an attic or something. There are some scuffs and some very minor scratches from years of use. The main scratch is shown in the picture of the top. Theres a tiny bit of wear to the edges. But nothing major. There are scratches around the three larger key winds. And wear near the edge of the face between the 5& 6. Not all oily and dusty. The Winchester Chime is missing one bell(included, just needs to be put back on. I was told when I purchased it that it had one weak spring, I just loved the piece for decor so never did get it running or even try, as I also do not have a key for it. This is why we are selling this"For Parts and Restoration" The pendulum has some wear to the gold colored finish on the front from rubbing/use. We do not know if this pendulum is original to this clock or not. But this is how we acquired it, so we will sell it with it. There is no key for this clock, sorry. All in all. NEW HAVEN Antique GINGERBREAD CLOCK Shelf Kitchen Mantel Mantle REGULATOR Alarm
A late nineteenth century antique Gingerbread Clock manufactured by New Haven Clock. We are pleased to present this New Haven Gingerbread Clock for your consideration. Dating to the latter part of the nineteenth century. Our Clock has an elaborate gingerbread style wooden case with three(3) turned wood finials on the top. The glass door on the front is decorated with a multi-color floral design. The Clock is an old style wind-up unit, running for several(probably 7) days each time it is wound up. A separate wind-up alarm mechanism is controlled by a time ring found near the center of the Clock hands. We've included keys for both of the winders, but they are likely not original to the Clock. The Clock measures 22-1/2 inches high. 15-1/8 inches wide, and 5-1/4 inches deep. It weighs about 6-1/2 pounds. The Clock has a couple of New Haven ... moremarkings plus the remnants of an old. Very faded, label on the back of the cabinet. Physically. The Clock is in good shape and is free of any significant damage. The finish shows some surface crazing, but it is not too bad. The front glass is unbroken and free of any cracks. The interior and movement are clean. The Pendulum, marked MCH. 1st 1881. Has visible solder on its reverse side suggesting that it has been repaired. We rate the overall physical condition as very good(see pictures) Upon receipt. We wound the Clock and set the Pendulum swinging. The Clock ran well, running for the better part of a week and keeping reasonably accurate time, although running fast. The Pendulum has a speed adjustment which was set to the 3 o'clock position(i.e. pointing towards"fast" during testing, so it should be easy to slow it down a bit. Although currently running, as an antique timepiece, the Clock is offered in as-is condition without any guarantee. We did not do any extensive testing of the alarm function, although the alarm mechanism winds up and the bell will ring. This is a nice example of an antique New Haven Gingerbread Clock. Does not come with the pendulum. I believe this clock is a shelf clock but it does have a slot for a pendulum. Although it could be a short pendulum. There are circular rubber feet on the front legs. There is some confusion because the back legs do not look like they belong with the clock and might have been put on to easily work on the movement. The nails on the back legs are not hammered in all the way either. So it might be a wall clock with temporary back legs. Im not sure if the clock body is a Gilbert but the movement is for sure. Clock Body: Looks like it has been through some bad staining and probably would have looked a lot nicer if left alone. Maybe this ... morecan be fixed. I don’t know. The shape is pretty nice though and the jewels look somewhat Christmas-like with the red and green colors. Has a latch with a push button release. The hinges are in good functional shape. One of the front legs has a chip in it. The door fits a little too snug and gets stuck. The glass is in good shape with no scratches. Movement: I don’t know if it works. The stud or nut for the gong chime mount is stripped and does not tighten. Probably needs an overhaul because I can wobble the gears around inside their pivot holes. Vintage Antique JUNGHANS "Mission Style" Pendulum Wall Clock - Excellent Cond.
You are bidding on an early 1900's Junghans Pendulum Wall Clock from the estate of a retired Clockmaker. This 8 Day Clock runs great. And appears to be all original. It strikes the hour and half-hour on a Cathedral Gong and keeps near perfect time. The movements bushings show minimal wear indicating the Clock was not run very much. It measures approximately 20" x 10 1/2" x 6" This Clock includes its Pendulum and Winding Key. I have included lots of pictures as part of the description and to assist you in your evaluation of the Clock. Antique West Germany Black Forest Hand Painted Cuckoo Clock. Up for auction is a beautiful hand painted German Black forest Cuckoo clock. The clock is missing all the chains and weights. A couple of the small wooden extras are missing but all three men are fully intact. Has the cuckoo bird. Mill wheel spins. Also has original back. Motor reads E.Schmeckenbecher. Made in Germany, 25, G.M 1731483. Nothing on the wooden case is broke off. I didnt clean it up because I thought I would leave that up to the buyer. Clock is as is.
