Shows ... moreRoyal Crown Hallmark above letters E II R(Elizabeth II Regina) in center of date(1921) as follows: 19 E II R 21 Has the Letters E II R in center of date below the Crown(see photo) This is the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II. Which is an interesting Hallmark because Queen Elizabeth II was not born until 1926. Therefore, this could be a 1921 clock later commissioned for a RMS or the Royal Navy, etc. All Elliot clocks pressed into Royal Service bore either the Kings' or Queens' Cypher, depending on the actual reigning monarch at the time. Timeline excerpt from Elliott clocks, shown below shows that Frank Elliott took over the firm of Gillet and Johnson in Croydon, England in 1923. It is most likely that this clock(made in 1921) was part of inventory within the factory, and sometime later, commissioned to Royal service. thereby receiving the Queens' Cypher stamped into the back, and still showing that the clock itself was made in 1921. The front and sides have sound frets backed with red velvet. We have carefully and completely cleaned and restored the clock to a very high standard. The large and stunning dial is enamel on copper and is complete with it's original finely fretted gilt brass hands and convex bezel. The bezel is marked for the retailer Charles Hour. The French movement is of high quality and has the makers mark on the movement backplate of Louis Japy. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker and thoroughly tested before presenting it for sale. Pendulum is original. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. Antique Lux Waterbury Desk Clock Bar Scene Pub Scene Working Wind-Up Shelf Clock
This auction is for a rare novelty desk clock by Lux of Waterbury. Connecticut. As you can see, a previous owner made it a wood case which they then painted gold. While the case does not add much to the presentation, it's done a good job of protecting and preserving the clock, which still works perfectly with a quick wind. The hands are also moving without interruption. The decorative pub scene face has good color and shows no wear. The metal frame is scuffed some on the front and back but there are no major dings. The glass is also fully intact. I will be shipping it in the frame as I do not want to disassemble the clock to remove it. The clock alone measures approximately 3 3/4" square.

Antique cast plate German cuckoo clock deep carved running wood bird early 1900s
Up for auction is an antique german cuckoo clock. I estimate this clock to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Has a cast plate movement that is unmarked. Bellow tops are new. Gong back is a salvaged piece from another antique cuckoo of this period. Gong is a heavy mantel piece. That sounds nice when clock strikes. Bird is wood carved and has moving beak and flapping wings. Clock carving and house are in good condition for the age of the clock, but stain is a bit faded. Frame has split running along left edge from age, very hard too see unless your right up close. I did not restain the carving, because i like the natural wood look. Penedulum is a new heavy piece that is unstained, matches the carving pretty well, and regulates the time well. A pair of matching 720 gram weights run the time and the strike. Clock strikes with cuckoo and ... moregong chime, once on the half hour, and at the top of the hour for the appropriate amount of hours. Dial is a bit faded as well, but looks nice, i dont know if numerals are original. Hands appear to have been replace in the past. Ive had this cuckoo running for over a month and it keeps good time and has a pleasant deep strike. Being probably 100 years old, clock might require adjustment after shipping. I will tie up chains, break down clock and pack each piece with the utmost care. I tinker with these old cuckoos as a hobby, and had this one for awhile waiting to find a crown. No luck, but cuckoo looks good as is. Pretty large cuckoo measures 14 1/2 inches tall, 11 1/4 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches from roof to the wall. Antique converted steeple clock
This is an old steeple clock that has been converted to a battery operated clock. I dont know if the motor runs. I think it does. It takes a"c" battery. The battery leaked and corrosion is deposited on one end. I think this will clean up. The door has one hinge on the top. The bottom hinge is missing. There is a piece of wood missing on the right hand side of the door near the top. see photos.Ther are some salvageable parts on the case. The dial is good and the door glass is good. This is a beautiful clock; it is in original condition and has not been tampered with at all except a replaced back cover. ANTIQUE MANTLE CLOCK SLATE MARBLE ORNATE METAL FACE, DESCRIPTION: This clock is 10 1/2" high. 8 3/4" long and 5 1/2" front to back. The body is made of a heavy black substance like marble or some other stone. The top front and bottom front are inlaid with a black and green veined marble. There are also engraved decorations with gold in them. The ornate face is made of metal. The back is a metal grate lined with green cloth. The back plate that covers the works does not have a manufacturer name on it but has the numbers 275 43 at the bottom. When you look inside through the bottom you can see that the inside has a light brown stone or plaster/cement over which the black substance is veneered about 3/8" thick and there is a white plaster around as can be seen in our pictures. CONDITION: No key. Not sure if it keeps time ... morebut the pendulum swings and the clock ticks when it does so. No bottom. As you are facing the clock you can see a small scratch and a couple of small chips off of the lower corner of the"roof" section. There is also a very small chip off the black substance at the very bottom corner. Some of the white plaster substance is visible at one of the back/side joints of the back panel. This carriage clock is not currently working. We are unsure of the maker. The only hallmark that is visible is a"C" with the numbers 4321 below it. It features a hand painted face that appears to be enamel and has light cracks running through it. This clock was serviced regularly at one time as there are multiple etchings on the bottom and back. There are a couple of chips near the corner of two of the glass panes. The clock stands 5" high. Excluding the fold-down handle. It is approximately 3" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Stunning Rare Antique Ansonia Art Nouveau pendulum clock 1800's
This clock is gorgeous. I took it to my clock repair guy and he told me that it was more than 100 years old. It is working fine but the workings need to be cleaned. It has not been cleaned in a very long time. It will run for a few days and stop because the workings need cleaning. It chimes on the hour and also has an alarm. I have both keys for this clock. It is 21.5" tall and 11" in length and 4& 1/4" wide. As you can see in the pictures there is some fading to the design on the glass door. This item will be very well packaged and insured. It is beautifully made in gilt brass in the Baroque style. It features an armorial bearing to the front with a shield and wings. Flanked by mythical creatures. Above the dial is a goddess mask and a large ornate urn. The clock stands on paw feet. Candelabra are conforming in style with elaborate arms modelled as scrolling foliage. Flame snuffers sit in the middle nozzle as a finial when not in use. The large dial is ornately cast in brass and mounted with 12 individual shield shaped enamel cartouche letters. The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. The makers mark is on the movement backplate. Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is a truly extraordinary clock. I haven't seen another like it and it's not likely I ever will again. The clock is handcrafted in the old style. Simple, made entirely of wood, finished in mahogany, and trimmed on the edges with beveled and twisted wood; very nice! The dial is porcelain and features large, easy to read, Black Roman numerals to mark the hours and matching old metal hands to point out the time. There is a center dial made of brass that looks like the old alarm set dials though I don't know if this clock has that feature. I always wanted ... moreto look into repairing the clock at some point but I simply don't have the time any longer; wish I did since I don't know its origin or who made it and it would be fun to find out. The back is encased in wood as well and there is a thick wood sliding door located there that removes easily to allow access to the weight driven, mechanical clock inside the case. It's the old style movement with thick plates and a triangular shape. It's not marked as to maker or origin but that doesn't surprise me since it was not an international requirement until after 1920. A weight driven movement simply means that the chain needs to be pulled occasionally to wind the clock. The clock does work and the hands move but it's generally only for a few minutes, sometimes longer; not sure why. It has a nice old tick to it and I truly wish I had the time because this clock is well worth the time! Have it repaired, repair it yourself, or leave it the way it is; gorgeous on display! If you do repair it, remember to service this classic antique clock at least once every three years. If you're consistent, you have a timeless heirloom on your hands. The clock comes complete as

RARE VERY UNUSUAL ANTIQUE BRITISH UNITED TINY MECHANICAL CARRIAGE CLOCK CA 1900!

Be sure to have a look at our other items! I have never seen another clock like this one before and it's not likely I ever will again. It has to be one of the tiniest carriage desk clocks I've ever seen in a real clock and one of the more unique as well. According to the embossed lettering on the back of the metal case. The clock is a joint venture of"Great Britain and France" and created in"Birmingham England, more than a century ago. Together they formed the"British United Clock Company" and patented this clock under the same name and created their logo as"BUCC" as stated on the"Trade Mark" on the dial. The case ... moreis made of heavy brass and a brass carriage ring is found on the very top and two brass peg legs under the case as well. There is a shiny brass bezel surrounding the dial which leads me to think there may have been a glass crystal in it at one point but not now. The dial resembles thin bakelite or similar materials. Each hour has a black round backdrop with fancy arabic numerals at each hour mark. The hour hand is black metal but the minute hand is missing. The logo and name are shown above the escapement and the word, Patent" is shown below in block letters. The back of the clock has the embossed information as I've already stated and a large winding key with a winding directional arrow embossed on the back as well. There is a slow/fast adjustment underneath the case; never seen one mounted here before. The clock is fitted with a mechanical, key wind movement and seems to work just fine here.been ticking for hours and the hour hand has moved so I believe it is keeping time. The small wooden brace on the top is missing, but an easy fix. Runs and gongs as designed. The alarm rings but I don't know how to set and check. Checked by local clock shop and found to be in excellent running condition. May need to be serviced and adjusted after shipment. Original weight. Not original key. Up for auction is an antique Ingram Gila"Kitchen Clock" This particular clock was manufactured from 1895 to 1904. It is a 31-day calendar clock with a paper face. A small thermometer and barometer are located on the sides of the clock. This clock was professionally cleaned in February 2012 and I was told it is in perfect working condition. The key is included.
