This is an 8 day ... moreclock in very good condition. I have wound it up and it lasts 8 days until rewinding is necessary. This is 6" clock and weighs 6 Lbs. There is a small lever at the top of the clock that accesable by opening the lid with the key and I set it all way to the the right for a few days and the clock ran a few minutes faster after about fours of observing off and on. And then I reset it to the middle location and clock was running within seconds of the actual time. i do not know why this is there but it is probably some sort military setting for timing torpedoes or navigational applications. The black base that is mounted at the bottom is probably not the original way this clock was mounted, I mention this because my wife is from Ukraine and her father served in the Russian army during the Soviet Union era and he asked me to remove the base and there is three location hanging mounts on the back side and two of them are broken and suggested that some one had pulled it away from it's anchored location on the Submarine during the break up of the Soviet Union so he concluded it is a make shift base because it is made of plastic and the Russians did not use much of any plastic materials on Military equipment back then. This would be great addition for military collector and even a vintage clock collector. This item sells as is with no returns. Antique E.N. Welch Oak Mantle Clock C 1880 with key in excellent condition!
This is a Welch oak kitchen mantle clock from around 1880. The wood is in fabulous shape. The clock has been recently serviced, the main spring had to be replaced and the glass was missing so it is new. Everything else is original. The dial is a bit worn and dirty, but I do not restore dials. I had to adjust the door close mechanism, the original piece broke off, so I used the old piece and adapted it so it works great to keep the door closed. It looks just like the old one. The pattern on the glass is a bit long for the door. It fits correctly over the face of the clock, but it is too long for the door of the clock, the pattern disappears into the door frame. The original key is there and the clock runs and chimes on the half hour. You can adjust the run time faster or slower from the pendulum. It's a really great looking clock as well ... moreas a nice working one. And it's a nice old piece to add to your collection or to add some atmosphere to your home. This is a very beauiful antique wood carving that is marked on the back"Gustav Becker- Holzsohnitzer- Berghausen- Hauptstr. 80" I purchased this piece many. Many years ago, and it has been packed away in my closet, in my smoke-free home. It depicts a lovely country scene of a water mill that is very intricately carved in bas relief 3D. I am not sure what kind of wood this is, but it is very heavy and dense. The original wood color can be seen behind the painted"Gustav Becker" in the back The piece weights close to 3 pounds. It measures 15-3/8 inches wide(390 mm) and is 1-1/4 inches high(32mm) at it's highest point. There is a very old circular hanger on the back. Also on the back, there is a V shaped marking, as well as 2 very small nail holes. This may have been made if the carving was part of a clock, which I believe ... moreit was. The piece appears to be stained with different shades of brownish colors, as well as the green and white water that is coming from the bottom of the mill. There is some minor flaked paint along the upper right side, and there is a very small hairline crack along the right side rim(which I have shown in my pictures. This lovely Sessions antique gingerbread. Parlour, or mantle clock has a gold reverse painting in excellent condition on its original glass door.It has a fancy pendulum which can be moved upward for increasing the rate and downward for a slower rate should it need adjustment. Possibly this clock was sitting above a working fireplace for years as the paper dial is darkened. The bezel shows some wear and tarnish. This clock also has an alarm which works striking a bell in the interior case. It must be wound each time you want the alarm to function, and then it will ring until it is wound out.I have not tried to set the alarm, however I did wind the alarm abit and a hammer strikes on an inverted bell. Please place this clock on a level service to function properly. The hard wood case has much detail-toward the top of the clock is a fish scale ... morelike design and toward the base is a basket weave like design. Antique Brass Ship Vacuum Gage Clock
An antique Vintage Old Ship vacuum gage turned into a Clock. The clock mechanism does or did work but it ticks but does not keep accurate time. I believe the battery operated mechanism needs to be replaced. At 11 and 11-1/2 inches diameter pounds this is a very well made Gage at it's time. It says US Gauge Co. on the front. Solid brass construction. Nice threads to seperate to get to the inside, glass front and tygon tubing seal.

The pendulum and housing is plastic and this clock has a real cool and loud"dong/ chime" at the top of the hour and half hour and it works keeping very good time. I believe they made these so that the average person could afford them. If this clock were to have the wood housing and only mechanical movement. It would have cost hundreds even back int he 60s and 70s when I assume this was made. The dial is signed"Waltham" and"made in the USA" I have had this plugged in for over a 24 hour period and the pendulum swings back and forth and as stated above it dongs at the top of the hour and half hour. This is a BEAUTIFUL example of a Japanese made large American OFFICE REGULATOR Wall Clock in SUPERIOR condition. Japanese Wall clocks are of very high quality. It was made by in Japan circa 1910. Japan sent many clocks to Germany and America around the turn of the century when a new trade law was enacted. The people in Japan copied the favorite American and German clocks. Improved upon them, added some Japanese flavor and sent them to us and back to Germany! They were received favorably by the people of the world. These clocks were made very well. As well as keeping very good time. This particular model is an American Schoolhouse- office wall style clock in NEAR ALL ORIGINAL condition. The case is beautiful with a near American wall clock design. The finish is original and beautiful. Even has its original little catches to hold the doors ... moreclosed– most of these are missing by now. It has a large heavy duty 8-day time and strike movement. Which counts the hours on the hour on a large gong with a very neat old sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. This clock measures 21 ½ inches high, 12 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. Has a unique design with its beautiful maybe replaced a long time ago(the only part not original) dial. Has its original bottom door with the original wavy glass where you can view the heavy original antique original fancy pendulum swing as it keeps time for you. The dial is in superior condition. Very crisp. Complete with the original pendulum and a new key. Runs great and keeps good time, while striking the hours for you. These antique clocks amaze me- could you imagine any other consumer product still working perfectly after over a hundred years! And the truly amazing thing it is ready for the next 100 years. This is a BEAUTIFUL RARE example of a German 2 weight SIGNED 100% ALL ORIGINAL Vienna Regulator Wall Clock in SUPERIOR condition. German Vienna Regulators are of the highest quality with this fine clock being very high grade. Beautiful case with original heavy bevel glass. This clock has a heavy duty 8 day signed time and strike movement. Which was one of the best movements made in the world. It was made in Germany circa 1900. This clock is extremely easy to wind, very high quality. Clocks with weights are more accurate than clocks with springs because when the springs are first wound they run slightly fast and as they lose tension the clock will run somewhat slower with weights being constant. Clocks that needed to keep nearly perfect time. Like jewelers regulators, were always driven by weights. The German Vienna's in our collection ... moreare much more accurate that modern-day quartz clocks. The clock also winds very easily with its included crank. This clock has its long beautiful original matching pendulum. Also the German clocks in our collection have not yet required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many. Many years. The movement runs very well and keeps very good time. This particular model chimes the half hour and counts the hours on a gong with a very nice sound. Very high quality movement. The movement is attached to the seat board and slides out for easy adjustment and viewing. No need to take the dial or even the hands off! German clocks are especially nice also in that they made it easy to service them. The clock is very large and heavy and measures 41 inches high. 14 inches wide and 7 inches deep. There is beautiful original heavy bevel glass in which you can view the pendulum swinging and the weights falling! The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also. The strike is also not too loud. WORKS Antique Gilbert Wind-Up Unique Banjo Wall Clock imprinted in wood 3707 USA
VINTAGE/ANTIQUE maybe 1920's? not sure. So please be your own judge, UNIQUE Gilbert Banjo Clock. As I type this it is ticking away and keeping good time: I am not knowledgeable of the value of old/antique clocks but I love them and it's difficult for me to pass them by. This one winds up on the metal type back cover at the top. I am hoping the 9 pictures uploaded will speak for themselves and you will be able to tell more about it and the condition. The wood looks to be mostly intact but there are places where the color/surface finish has worn or rubbed/come off in places. I noticed inprinted in the wood on the back are the numbers'3707' and'MADE IN USA' It's a Gilbert Banjo Clock. A beautiful Bridge Scene with what looks to be glass over it and an applied floral/flower design on the longer part of the clock. Antique German Clock / Unusual Wall Clock / Maybe Black Forest or Otherwise
An unusual slender German wall clock; constructed of primarily walnut. Possibly oak and either poplar or Linden secondary woods; appears hand done in a small shop; but origin of the case is unknown. Very slender case measuring 27-1/2 tall,10-3/8" wide by 5-1/2" deep. One of the pc's of molding on the upper left hand side appears that it may have been replaced some years ago. The clock has the absolute mellowest gong- rings on a single chime rod- on the planet. The movement has been cleaned to ensure reliable operation and this is a fine clock. You will note some wear and tear but minor in nature' the most notably being a small gouge which although appears minor because of the way it blends in- in the area of the upper left hand side carving near the face. I did not make note of any particular markings on the movement but ... morewill check again and update the auction. There are some dents to the pendulum as shown. You'll like this one.

Double pillar top&bottom caps&the side lions heads in a copper color that have aged with time to an antique patina finish/ has ornate brass bezel that is thick, heavy with embossed design&orig. glass. the dial rim¢er piece is embossed, the dial has nice bold numbers, the background was originally shiny but shows wear w/highs&lows in the shine and has turned light brownish yellow w/age but has to be looked at close to notice.what is noticable is the areas w/brown stain(pic#2) but is not offensive, overall antique. The co. name'SethThomas'is printed under the 12 and at bottom is: Manufactured in the UnitedStatesOfAmerica' the S/F regulator shaft is below the handshaft.the solid brass bezel is hard ... moreto push closed but will close but then is hard to pull open so is better left open. Pushed up close to the dial rim. The movement was serviced late last year- cleaned.Oiled,mainsprings lubricated and any needed repairs were done to put it into good running order. has been regulated for timekeeping and stays within 1-2 minutes until end of week when it drops 3-5 min. as the mainsprings are nearly unwound, this clock will run 9 days but the time loss is much more by then/ has its orig. ST pend. and a replacement double end key for both shaft areas/ the hour strike has a deep, resonating sound and the half hour has the passing strike on a brass bell. The case measures 17" long x 12" high x 7 1/2" deep.the case condition is really nice and the pic's don't show it that well/it has 90% of its orig. shine. This is an original New Haven Model. Named"Lincoln" by the company in good running order. The mantel clock has the original and super durable Model 380 Westminster Chime movement which was just oiled and properly adjusted. The pleasant sounding quarter chimes can be easily turned off at night if so desired with the winding key. It is an eight day clock that measures 21" wide by 10" tall by 6" deep. The case is in good condition overall but does show a few minor scuffs and dings from use over the years. Included is a correct double ended key for winding and F/S adjustment. It is missing one of the small square rear foot piece of wood, but this does not affect the overall appearance or performance of this clock and could be easily replaced. Please consider this antique French wall clock with an 8 day movement. The clock is 25 inches tall. 19 and 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The movement although unmarked appears to be a Morbier with super heavy brass construction. The movement has been cleaned and tested so is in very good operating condition. The clock chimes once on the half hour and then chimes the number of the hour on the hour. AND THEN. Repeats the hour count at about two minutes after the hour. Just in case you missed the first count. The chime is of the coiled spring type and is of medium volume. The wood case is a gloss black and has a good appearance. There are repaired areas at both the top and bottom of the outer case that can be seen when close and the right light angle. Tried to show the rough areas in the photos. The dial is metal and carries the name Collaine'Dumand ... moreas well as Courtenuy. Dial is in decent shape however there is a ding on the edge between the numbers 7 and 8. The inlay looks to be abalone or some similar material.all intact. Glass over the dial is good. Even has a bubble or two to show it is original. The pendulum and key look to be original. I understand these type of clocks are sometimes known as Bakers clocks.
