These mid to late 18th century scissors have a great patina and showcase the wonderful construction of early blacksmithing work. Bucks County Primative Boot Jack Stool Wood Bench AAFA Early 1800's Original
This auction is for an early 19c. American Antique Boot Jack or small bench. I aquired this from an estate auction of a furniture collector and have a few more but this seems to be the oldest of the lot. It has hand forged nails and is hand planed. This is a 100% handmade early American bench. It still has the original varnish and the aged wood beneath in some areas where it has been worn away is just beautiful. The bench measures 6' by 11' It is a wonderful example of early American folk art. The wood is pine and shows some signs of ware and tare. ANTIQUE PINK & WHITE EARLY 20th C FOLK ART STAR QUILT AAFA
This antique. Cheery quilt hails most likely from around 1930-1940’s. I do not believe it was ever red and white– I’m sure it was always rose and white in keeping with what I’m pretty sure is it’s time period. Interesting note– the quilting within each star creates a second pattern. Giving the star a neat effect. Sweet and full of charm and happiness. It is in very good structural shape, but does have a light stain in one area that encompases about eight of the white hexagons. I did wash it after taking the pics and most of it came out so that it is now much harder to spot, but it does remain. Perhaps a 2nd washing would do it but I don't want to horse around with it for such a slight discoloration. It still makes a great porch or patio quilt for those chilly(42 here today) summer nights. Size is72” by 66.5” The back is made up of 4 uneven ... morepieces, two being skinny sections along one border. There are slightly yellowed fold lines on back. This is a 5 day auction This auction is for an interesting blue and white salt glazed pottery bowl. The design on the side is fruit and flowers. I have only ever seen these bowls with the wedding ring pattern on the outside. The bottom doesn't have any writing on it but does have an unusual swirl pattern that I have never seen before. Either. There is a large chip on the inside rim with a tight crack running from it down to the bottom of the bowl. This bowl is solid and I used it to display fruit on my kitchen counter. I wouldn't reccommend it for stirring or serving but it makes a wonderful useful bowl or a display piece. Fantastic Early C. 1890 Painted Wooden Fishing Tackle Box from Maine AAFA
Fantastic fresh attic find from northern Maine. A handmade wooden tackle box complete with wood insert drawer, in it's original paint colors of"Windsor" green and old"Oyster" white paint! Was made in the late 19th C. by the original owner's grandfather, circa 1890-1910. The construction is superb and was obviously well-taken care, of as the insert is still inside and it is not all beat up-was a treasured possession and made with care. Measures approx. 11" long by 5 3/4" wide, standing 6 1/2" tall. The condition is very good, with only a replaced hook on the front(although it is very old and was done early on) as I can see three tiny nail holes where there was a different type of latch at one time. Mortice and tenon construction early metal handle for carrying on top, there is also a little ledge ... morebuilt inside so the oyster white painted tray insert fits perfectly-all original to this tackle box-overall, very minty condition! The paint is original and untouched on both pieces; I have included quite a few photos for help with the description. AAFA - Small Salt-Glazed 19th c. Butter Crock w/Cover, Blue Swags, 1/2 Gal.
Found in New England is this great looking. Slightly tapered 1/2 gal. salt-glazed stoneware butter crock with 7 repeating dark cobalt blue swags. The dark tan glaze is still glossy and completely covers the bottom as well as the sides. There is a decorative incised line 1-1/2" down from the top that goes completely around the crock. The interior is a rich brown albany slip. Included with the crock is a very nicely fitting lid, although I'm not sure if it is original to the crock. The crock stands only 4-3/4" high with an 11/16" lip x 7-3/8" wide at the top, and 7-3/4" wide at the bottom. The condition is excellent and solid, although there is a professionally filled tight hairline that can be seen in the last photo. There are also a few old surface chips on the top of the lid. AAFA Small Hanging Wooden Tapered Comb Tray with Candles
Here is a darling small'comb' tray. That can either sit on a shelf or hang on a wall. It has two holes in the bottom which was normal for drainage. I'm not sure of the wood, probably a dark stained pine. I use it as a place for small candle storage, of which five candles will also be included. I believe this dates to the early 1900s and measures only 7.25 inches in length, 7.5 inches in height, 2.75 inches in width.

For your consideration is a Good example of a late 1800's Child's doll Step back cupboard in pine and old black paint. The cupboard is in the Eastlake" style" with circular top shelf popular in the 1880's cupboards. Very quaint and looks wonderful with other doll's early furniture. Set of Ironstone dishes in miniature go with the cupboard. I bought this from long time Portland OR dealer. From a local estate. If y ou love early doll miniatures you will love this cupboard. Black paint is old I would say last coat is 1920's or 30's over original dark brown paint. Bottom doors are false. The size is 24" long by 14" I purchased this from Polly Minick several years ago. It is in the same condition that I bought it in which I love because I din't want it to look new.
