This is set of heavily hand-carved 19th Century Renaissance Revival dinning room chairs- consists of 6 side chairs and 2 arm chairs. They are heavy and solid oak is the wood is my guess- The side chairs are 42" high to the crest rail and the seat is 18" high- the seat is16" across the back and flairs out 18 1/2" to the front which is 20" across. The arm chairs are 43" to the top of the crest rail and also are 18" high- they are 20" across the back and flair to the from which is 21" across- the arms are 27" from the floor. The chairs are in great condition for being about 120+ years old with the usual abrasions and warm patina that good furniture acquires after years of use- there are some issues with the"satin" fabric that is on them. Victorian Painted Table & 6 Chairs/Stenciled / 2 Leafs
An exceptional design and quality can be found in this late 1800's dining set. The table is made from maple and the chairs are made from pine. Painted a mustard yellow color and stenciled in a fruit and leaf motif. This set would add color and character to a sunny breakfast nook. The paint on this is not original to the set. We believe it was painted in the 70's or 80's. The set includes four matching chairs. Each chair has brown pinstriping accenting the fine lines. On the top rail there is a gorgeous fruit and leaf motif. The chairs have plank seats. There is some age appropriate paint loss and scratches at the bottoms of the chairs especially on the rungs. The other two chairs are painted to match the set. And are structurally a little different. The seats and the back rails are designed a little different but they are painted ... moreto match the others. Two of the chairs are loose on the backs and will need to be re-glued. The height of the chair seat is 17" The table has pin striping around the entire edge of the table. This is also found on the edges of each leaf and on the table legs. Originally the table had casters but hese were lost long ago. There is age appropriate paint loss and scuffs to the legs of the table also. The height of the table is 28" and it has a width of 43.5" The table closed measures 52.5" Each leaf is 10.5" opening fully to 73.5" There is a small crack that starts on the edge but it does not go all the way through. This can be filled in and repainted. Both sides of the table have the same fruit& leaf motif but painted larger. Preview is available by appointment. victorian empire solid mahogany table and six chippendale chairs
For Sale- 19 th Century Mahogany Chippendale table and six chairs. The 54 inch extension table top is made of two pieces of solid mahogany. The tree that these two pieces of mahogany came from must have been well over 27 inches in diameter. The apron around the table is crotch mahogany veneer. There are three leaves; an 18 inch leaf with an apron also with crotch mahogany veneer. There are two 14 inch leaves with no apron. We have provenance to about 1900. But my research would date the table to Victorian Empire period—1840 to 1860. The chairs are copies of 18 th Century Chippendale. They are made of heavy solid mahogany stock.and are very sturdy. They are heavily hand carved. Part of the carving is the laurel leaf design which is repeated in the table pedestal and on each side of the lion’s paw carved feet. There are 4 side chairs and two ... morearm chairs. One of the arm chairs has some damage but can be easily fixed. The set has been stored for years. I used Murphy’s Oil soap on two of the chairs and they turned out to my satisfaction. Most folks would elect to refinish the table top to get the full effect of the mahogany grain pattern. The large leaf has some water damage in the varnish but it is straight and sturdy—no warping. There is some of the crotch mahogany veneer missing on the apron of the large leaf. I am delighted to offer for your consideration this lovely set of hand carved early 19c walnut French style Victorian chairs. I am not sure if they came from England or not. Since the estate sale had mostly English, Irish, Italian and French imported antiques throughout. They are continental, as to the best of my knowledge. I have seen alot of Victorian era furniture, but not like these. I am calling them Victorian; however they seem to be a bit more Georgian than that. Who's guess? Every country had their own sense of style and identification at different times. Now the chairs are good sized. NOT small like Victorian. The backs are 38" high, a good 5 inches higher than Victorian. The seats are very ample, being just shy 19 inches wide and the depth ... morebeing 17 1/2 inches deep. From floor to seat is 19 1/2" not the Victorian chairs of 17. The walnut frame and carvings are heavy and sturdy and of course hand done. The patina is original and beautiful. There are no smoke smells or animal stains or smells as well. I have my own building just for my antiques and never buy furniture that smells or was abused. The table is very very impressive measuring 60 inches square with 6 rope edge leaves that are 14 inches each to make the table 12 feet with all 6 leaves in place. It has a split pedestal base that is carved and has claw feet. The large sideboard measures 40 1/4 inches tall x 47 inches tall to the top of the backsplash. It is 24 3/4 inches deep x 72 inches across. The backsplash has a veneer piece missing and some veneer wrinkles. The server measures 36 inches tall and is 40 inches tall to the top of the backsplash. It measures 19 deep x 40 across. The china closet measures 65 3/4 inches tall x 45 inches wide x 20 inches deep. It has 4 wooden shelves. Provenance shows that we can easily trace it back 150 years, but table and chairs are mostly likely more than 200 years old. The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. This is a mid 1800's Jacobean refectory dining room set. The carvings are absolutely beautiful. These are very solid pieces. Probably quarter-sawn oak. There are 8 chairs- 6 regular and 2 captain- that were completely taken apart and refitted, reglued and reupholstered about 10 years ago. The table has some veneer chips on the top edge, and the side table has some finish issues on the bottom shelf, but otherwise everything is in great shape. Antique Large Mahogony Dining Room Table With Mix Matched Chairs
I have had this table for 3+ years. It is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship. All together opened up it measures 48" wide by about 111" long. It is from the 1800's so it has eye and hook which connects the 3 pieces together and swing out extra legs to add strength and stability to the drop down leaves on the center piece. There are normal wear and tear for a piece this large but nothing substantial. The legs are beautifully crafted and it is a very solid table without being super heavy. The 6 chairs that came with it have repair damage on 2 of the chairs. It can seat 12 so I have 4 other chairs that do not match the other chairs and I also added 2 other mix matched chairs to seat all 12. I can't think of anything else about it but am open to any questions you might have. When the table is not extended the legs are mechanically tucked into the master table top. The main table support is completely amazing in its own right, a beautiful master wood worker carved a massive tree trunk and added four legs. The legs are four beautifully carved animals. There is the deer. Boar, fox and of course the ever faithful hound. They are remarkable to say the least. The deer does have ... morean antler missing, however it does not diminish anything from the overall ascetics as can easily be seen from the pictures. This will look good in any dining room, hall or lodge! To have the table as it is, would be something special, and will be the center piece for any antique collector or person that prizes artistry and years of wood carving skill. Adding eight. Antique Victorian Carved Oak 60" Round Dining Room Table w/ 9 Chairs& 9 Leaves This is a very nice antique Victorian oak 60 inch diameter round dining room table w/ 9 leaves and a set of 9 carved Jacobean style side chairs. C1900, manufacturer unknown. Table with a 60 inch diameter top with carved frieze and standing on a heavy carved pillar pedestal with 4 large carved oak legs ending in ball& claw feet. Table has 9 original leaves, 2 with skirts that measure 12 inches wide and 7 plank leaves that measure 8 1/2 inches wide. Table when fully extended will measure 143 1/2 inches. Table does need some TLC work as the hinges for the drop down support legs are bent and legs are not solid standing when dropped. Some finish wear to top and pedestal due to age and use. Each having a heavily carved scroll and foliage center crest with opposite facing bird heads surrounded by an upholstered back and supported by turned columns. Usable condition but do have a few issues that should be noted: On the chair that appears on the bottom left, there is a small piece of broken cane. Also, two chairs are slightly different from the other three. One matches very closely, just minor changes to the turned legs. The fifth chair does not have turned legs on the front(please see photo) This chair also is in rougher shape than the other four with what looks like some water staining. Antique(1870-1910) mahogany pedestal table with acanthus leaf carving. Previously owned by the Swedenburgs of Ashland. Oregon, antique collectors from the early 20th century. Solid and commanding, this table is 60 inches in diameter, and can extend up to 14 feet with its twelve accompanying 9 inch leaves. Comes with six matching chairs from the early 20th century with floral needlepoint hand-done by Olive Swedenburg. All chairs are solid and stable, and the needlepoint is impeccable, save one small snag, pictured above. The table and chairs have their original, rich finish with some surface issues, primarily on the table top, pictured above.

Victorian Gothic oak dining set with table, leaves, sideboard, and master chairs
This Gothic or Jacobean Revival dining room furniture has been in our family for around 100 years. It has been immaculately maintained and always used by the family. Never placed in storage. Gorgeously carved with ornate hardware, the set was professionally refinished around 1994 by a master craftsman. The two master chairs survive, along with one side chair. This is a massive set made of solid oak and suitable only for large dining rooms, which is the reason we are selling it. The table as pictured does not have the leaves attached. When the leaves are inserted at each end, the table nearly doubles in length and will easily seat 10 to 12 people. We no longer have the room to use the table as it was meant to be and are letting it go. Approximate measurements are given below.
