The color is off in that picture. The set is in excellent condition. Beautifully crafted and lots of style. The table has custom pads. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. The wood has scratches and wear but still looks nice(see pictures) The seat and backrest material is worn, dirty, and is torn on some of the corners. We had planned on recovering them before we decided not to keep them. The chairs have"L" brackets added to the underside of each chair to give the seat portion more support. The wooden dowels that cover the screw holes on the sides of the chairs were glued in. When I took these chairs apart to get them ready for shipping, I cleaned the glue off of everything and added a double sided tape to hold the dowels in place when they are re-assembled. 1890s Simpson & Son Halifax England Oak Antique Dining Room Set w/makers label
Solid Oak Dining Table. The original manufactures label is attached and it reads Simpson and Sons- Silver Street- Halifax England. It also has the cabinet makers signature but I cannot read it. There are some marks/scratches in the table. The table and chairs are in excellent working condition. The table measures 42" x 42" and has two pull out leaves which add 34" to the length of the table. There are a few small marks on the set. But nothing really noticeable or unattractive. Table top has a dark scratch/mark which may have always been there. The table has the original casters. I don't know if the chairs have been recovered or original, but the covering has no stains or tears. We can deliver to Grants Pass and Brookings Oregon.

It is 24 3/4 inches deep x 72 inches across. The backsplash has a veneer piece missing and some veneer wrinkles. The server measures 36 inches tall and is 40 inches tall to the top of the backsplash. There is an interesting history to this furniture. We"inherited" it over 20 years ago when we purchased the home of its owner who had inherited it from his aunt. She had been a member of early Hollywood society. According to the written history he provided us. Charlie Chaplain, Mario Lanza, Tyrone Power, and possibly John Wayne, among others, had been dinner guests. She had originally bought it at a Sotheby's auction in the 1920's for her New York penthouse before she moved to Beverly Hills. We have taken great care with it, and it is in excellent condition. The 12 piece solid oak set was beautifully crafted by Mandel Bros. Fine Furniture. Chicago, est. 1855. The chairs are cane bottom with spiral turned legs and ivory silk pillows. There is also a rack to hold the leaves to the table. The table has 6 leaves and expands ... morefrom 54" to 120. The top has a 2" carved border. And the corners are cut at a 45 degree angle. There are 7 spiral, turned legs connected by highly decorative carved panels. There are 6 side chairs and two armed chairs. The china cabinet has a fold down locked front containing two drawers. It has glass shelves with a mirrored back. The large buffet is 84" long with 3 drawers and a lower display shelf. Same intricate carving. The smaller buffet is 48" long with two drawers and a lower display shelf. We use it as an entry table with mirror above. Oak table and chairs. This table is 5 feet long when the leafs are not extended and 9 feets when they are. There are 4 leafs each 1 foot in diameter. The is a crack on the top of the table that was there when I bought it. Everything to my knowledge is original except the seat pad. This is a beautiful table especially foir a large family gathering. Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the ... moretable but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Beautiful Antique American mid to late 1800s Southern plantation dining room set
This antique Dining room set is made in the mid to late 1800's.This is a beautiful suite with all matching pieces! This comes with a SERVING BUFFET. A CHINA CABINET, a SMALLER TEA OR PUNCH BOWL BUFFET. It has EIGHT MATCHING CHAIRS. which 2 of them are Arm chairs on the ends. This came out of a Southern Plantation home and was re-stained 15 years ago. I want to be sure to give potential buyers as much information that I can. This antique set is very unique and in VERY good condition considering the age it was made. All pieces are level and built solid! There are very few scratches and they can be easily touched up. The main areas needing attention are the table top and table base. There are some heat stains and a few small scratches on the table top. The base near the feet were chewed on a couple of the corners by a puppy teething. There ... moreare pictures for you to see these blemishes. These would be an easy fix for anyone who works with wood. One of the Arm chairs upholstery has come undone and needs to be tacked back. That same chair has some screws that have stripped on the front legs. It needs to have very little frame work done. The legs are not cracked! They have just came undone at a seam where 2 pieces are made to butt on both sides. I've included a picture of this chair alone. The other Arm chair has a small tear in the front corner of the cushion and needs to be removed and re-sewn. It's pictured on the end if you look at the full table and chairs set. The other pieces are near perfect with a couple unnoticeable flaws. All pieces including all chairs have handcarved claw feet and many other details that match. Very few antique dining sets this old have all matching pieces intact and are all carved the same. There are many details that are not pictured here. Usable condition but do have a few issues that should be noted: On the chair that appears on the bottom left, there is a small piece of broken cane. Also, two chairs are slightly different from the other three. One matches very closely, just minor changes to the turned legs. The fifth chair does not have turned legs on the front(please see photo) This chair also is in rougher shape than the other four with what looks like some water staining. Antique(1870-1910) mahogany pedestal table with acanthus leaf carving. Previously owned by the Swedenburgs of Ashland. Oregon, antique collectors from the early 20th century. Solid and commanding, this table is 60 inches in diameter, and can extend up to 14 feet with its twelve accompanying 9 inch leaves. Comes with six matching chairs from the early 20th century with floral needlepoint hand-done by Olive Swedenburg. All chairs are solid and stable, and the needlepoint is impeccable, save one small snag, pictured above. The table and chairs have their original, rich finish with some surface issues, primarily on the table top, pictured above.

Wonderful antique oak dining room set! Intricate woodwork appraised at $2000 for the set. This is an 8 piece set altogether consisting of a dining room table(7'ft long) with built in leaves. 6 chairs(2 of which are armchairs) and a china hutch. This set is incomplete as it only has one of the two armchairs and the appraisal is based on the full complete set. The price has been reduced significantly for resale! The table has a few loose pieces that can be secured with a nail as well as a chip off one of the chairs, I have all of the pieces and I figured I would leave these decisions to the next owner. This set is gorgeous and would really be a stunning table for the holidays or entertaining. This set would compliment any Victorian style decorating beautifully!

Antique19th Century Horner Alexander Roux Carved Solid Oak Dining Room Set
Beautiful set in amazing original condition. It has recently been brought to out attention by one of the curators of the NYS museum that this particular set was carved by Alexander Roux a prominent sculptor from NYC during the 1880's and 1890's. The set has not been touched at all so there are few of usual needs of a set this age. The seats will need reupholstering and will need some tightening up here and there. Otherwise this set is just fantastic with great upgrades. The table measures 95" long with all 3 leaves. 55" long without and 54" wide. The captains chairs measure 51" tall 26 1/2" wide and 20" across the seat. The other chairs are 45" tall. The hutch measures about 7 feet tall. 70" wide and. 32" deep. One of the griffins wings has a clean break that will need repair. The server ... moremeasures 47 1/2" wide. 39 1/2" to serving level and 58" overall height with a 26 1/2" depth. This great curve front china cabinet is very rare and all original. It measures 82 1/2" to the top of the crest and is 52 1/2" wide with a 22" depth. The set has 8 chairs and 3 leaves. Victorian Gothic oak dining set with table, leaves, sideboard, and master chairs
This Gothic or Jacobean Revival dining room furniture has been in our family for around 100 years. It has been immaculately maintained and always used by the family. Never placed in storage. Gorgeously carved with ornate hardware, the set was professionally refinished around 1994 by a master craftsman. The two master chairs survive, along with one side chair. This is a massive set made of solid oak and suitable only for large dining rooms, which is the reason we are selling it. The table as pictured does not have the leaves attached. When the leaves are inserted at each end, the table nearly doubles in length and will easily seat 10 to 12 people. We no longer have the room to use the table as it was meant to be and are letting it go. Approximate measurements are given below.
