The color is off in that picture. The set is in excellent condition. Beautifully crafted and lots of style. The table has custom pads. You can make the table smaller by dropping one or both of the ends. Or you can extend it with extra leaves. The leaves are a higher gloss than the rest of the table. This furniture is circa 1920. Jacobean or Tudor style. Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. The wood has scratches and wear but still looks nice(see pictures) The seat and backrest material is worn, dirty, and is torn on some of the corners. We had planned on recovering them before we decided not to keep them. The chairs have"L" brackets added to the underside of each chair to give the seat portion more support. The wooden dowels that cover the screw holes on the sides of the chairs were glued in. When I took these chairs apart to get them ready for shipping, I cleaned the glue off of everything and added a double sided tape to hold the dowels in place when they are re-assembled. This is set of heavily hand-carved 19th Century Renaissance Revival dinning room chairs- consists of 6 side chairs and 2 arm chairs. They are heavy and solid oak is the wood is my guess- The side chairs are 42" high to the crest rail and the seat is 18" high- the seat is16" across the back and flairs out 18 1/2" to the front which is 20" across. The arm chairs are 43" to the top of the crest rail and also are 18" high- they are 20" across the back and flair to the from which is 21" across- the arms are 27" from the floor. The chairs are in great condition for being about 120+ years old with the usual abrasions and warm patina that good furniture acquires after years of use- there are some issues with the"satin" fabric that is on them. 1890s Simpson & Son Halifax England Oak Antique Dining Room Set w/makers label
Solid Oak Dining Table. The original manufactures label is attached and it reads Simpson and Sons- Silver Street- Halifax England. It also has the cabinet makers signature but I cannot read it. There are some marks/scratches in the table. The table and chairs are in excellent working condition. The table measures 42" x 42" and has two pull out leaves which add 34" to the length of the table. There are a few small marks on the set. But nothing really noticeable or unattractive. Table top has a dark scratch/mark which may have always been there. The table has the original casters. I don't know if the chairs have been recovered or original, but the covering has no stains or tears. We can deliver to Grants Pass and Brookings Oregon.

Circa 18th c. Spanish Colonial style 11 piece dining suite including: dining table with carved apron. Parquet-style top and heavy turned legs joined with curved H-stretcher, two arm and six side chairs. Carved, with leather backs incised with coat of arms on turned and block legs. And carved sideboard with shelf elevated on spindles, two drawers above two cabinet doors with carved panels. Supported on ball feet. Overall good condition, with typical wear expected with age and normal use. Leather seats are torn on several of the chairs; some carved decorations are unattached but still in possession. Each one of the chairs has it's own Coat Arms on the leather high back chairs with the original paint still visible! The 2 Arm Chairs are very impressive! I am delighted to offer for your consideration this lovely set of hand carved early 19c walnut French style Victorian chairs. I am not sure if they came from England or not. Since the estate sale had mostly English, Irish, Italian and French imported antiques throughout. They are continental, as to the best of my knowledge. I have seen alot of Victorian era furniture, but not like these. I am calling them Victorian; however they seem to be a bit more Georgian than that. Who's guess? Every country had their own sense of style and identification at different times. Now the chairs are good sized. NOT small like Victorian. The backs are 38" high, a good 5 inches higher than Victorian. The seats are very ample, being just shy 19 inches wide and the depth ... morebeing 17 1/2 inches deep. From floor to seat is 19 1/2" not the Victorian chairs of 17. The walnut frame and carvings are heavy and sturdy and of course hand done. The patina is original and beautiful. There are no smoke smells or animal stains or smells as well. I have my own building just for my antiques and never buy furniture that smells or was abused.
