Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the ... moretable but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Notice that the chairs are in excellent shape and are all sturdy but do have some nicks and bumps with one of the chairs with the broken caning having damage on the backside as pictured. I just liked the look. Table measures 44 inches square. It expands to 8 feet long but I don't have the boards. So they would have to be made. They are Queen Anne style and are quarter sawn oak, in excellent condition, solid and attractive. C1900, manufacturer unknown. Table with a 60 inch diameter top with carved frieze and standing on a heavy carved pillar pedestal with 4 large carved oak legs ending in ball& claw feet. Table has 9 original leaves, 2 with skirts that measure 12 inches wide and 7 plank leaves that measure 8 1/2 inches wide. Table when fully extended will measure 143 1/2 inches. Table does need some TLC work as the hinges for the drop down support legs are bent and legs are not solid standing when dropped. Some finish wear to top and pedestal due to age and use.
