The table is very very impressive measuring 60 inches square with 6 rope edge leaves that are 14 inches each to make the table 12 feet with all 6 leaves in place. It has a split pedestal base that is carved and has claw feet. The large sideboard measures 40 1/4 inches tall x 47 inches tall to the top of the backsplash. It is 24 3/4 inches deep x 72 inches across. The backsplash has a veneer piece missing and some veneer wrinkles. The server measures 36 inches tall and is 40 inches tall to the top of the backsplash. Antique19th Century Horner Alexander Roux Carved Solid Oak Dining Room Set
Beautiful set in amazing original condition. It has recently been brought to out attention by one of the curators of the NYS museum that this particular set was carved by Alexander Roux a prominent sculptor from NYC during the 1880's and 1890's. The set has not been touched at all so there are few of usual needs of a set this age. The seats will need reupholstering and will need some tightening up here and there. Otherwise this set is just fantastic with great upgrades. The table measures 95" long with all 3 leaves. 55" long without and 54" wide. The captains chairs measure 51" tall 26 1/2" wide and 20" across the seat. The other chairs are 45" tall. The hutch measures about 7 feet tall. 70" wide and. 32" deep. One of the griffins wings has a clean break that will need repair. The server ... moremeasures 47 1/2" wide. 39 1/2" to serving level and 58" overall height with a 26 1/2" depth. This great curve front china cabinet is very rare and all original. It measures 82 1/2" to the top of the crest and is 52 1/2" wide with a 22" depth. The set has 8 chairs and 3 leaves. R.J. Horner Breasted Lady Dinning Chairs(set of 6) in OAK I am o ffering a rare set of R.J. Horner Breasted Lady Dinning Chairs in OAK. The set includes 6 chairs. All matching. They are very RARE and hard to find. The condition of the chairs is GOOD. There is some loss of carving consistent with age on the set of chairs. One chair has a piece of the toe missing(very small. See pic) At some point in time one chair had a metal bracket put on the bottom of the seat to add stability. The chairs have some looseness in them, however they are very sturdy. I have personally set in each chair and the chairs can be used. The finish is good with some veneer loss. Please see the pictures. The chairs could be restored to their original condition with effort. I have reflected the condition in the price. This would be an excellent set of chairs to add to ... moreany collection.
