DESCRIPTION: An assembled group of three Byzantine buttons. One in bone, one in rock crystal and one in stone(probably steatite) The bone button has a high domed profile and large central hole. The surface bears a series of decorative grooves dividing it into three fields from top to bottom. The second filed is enhanced with a series of eighteen incised dots filled with a dark gray to black material largely resistant to weathering. The third or bottom field is enhanced with two rows of incised, dotted circles, about twenty in each row, also filled with the dark material.
