A very nice antique C.1870 Victorian picture frame that is being used as a mirror. The frame is a faux painted burl walnut with a gesso tree bark textured ... moregilt surface around the outside. It has a gilt striped inner liner which adds some flair to the frame. The mirror is fairly contemporary and is in good shape and is held in with the original wooden backer boards. Any imperfections the mirror appears to have in the photos is either smudges from wiping or reflections. Overall it is very clean and can be used vertically or horizontally. We looked this pitcher over very carefully under a strong blacklight and there are no restorations. There is however a tight old dark hairline near one side of the spout right where it meets the body. There also is a tiny shallow fleck to the rim near the applied handle and two glaze chips on one side. We have accented these problems with arrows in out photographs. Overall, there is a fine crazing to the glaze and there are no restorations. To make sure some eBayer wins this rare large 19th century, English Mocha Ware Pitcher. Out of an upstate New York farmhouse comes this antique 19th century American handled brass push up candlestick. Measuring 7 1/2 inches tall it has a ... morepush up handle to get the most out of the candle. There are 3 interesting notches allowing the candle to be raised to whatever height the owner would wish. There is a hole under the handle so you could pick out any wax remaining from the candle. It has an oval base and a hole on the oval base so one could hang this from a handy hook or nail in the wall. It is in good overall condition. The base is slightly out of round and the brass has not been polished but remains in it's well used condition. Notice the hand cut, not machine made, large bolt holding the candlestick to the base bottom attesting to it's 19th century origins Please see the photographs. Shipping anywhere in the US will be $8.
