Known as REX RING, circa 18th.19th.century A.D. Heavy broad band decorated hoop. Flattened ends soldered to a round backing plate of a high box-type, huge and impressive masterly made hollow bezel. Round shields attached to the hoop and bezel. The large outside surface of the ring is nicely and rich decorated with varied patterns and probably used as an intaglio.
