They are made ... moreof cherry with a chocolate brown stain. Golden highlights are present as well. The pair have cabriole legs with carved. Acanthus leaves as well as ball and claw foot details. The apron sections are extremely detailed and ornate. They feature a carved/incised acanthus scroll and shell pattern which is present on all 4 sides. The tops are in a stepped design and are very thick. There is a recessed, window pane feature which is designed for a glass top. The tables are very nice. There are no manufacturer's marks but there is a patent sticker present. They are very sturdy though not exceptionally heavy. There are just a few and very minor nicks and slight scuffs which are not distracting and which can be resolved. The original glass is not present but should be very easy and inexpensive to replace. These are beautiful! Please note that we have the matching sofa table listed separately. The tables are rectangular and can be placed as you choose since the aprons are the same. They measure 21.5" tall. 21.75" wide and 27.75" long. The replacement glass needs to be approximately 17.25" x 23" Shipping via GREYHOUND to the station nearest you. Exquisite French antique marble-top, Louis VX nightstand table.
This breathtaking French nightstand was beautifully restored. This antique dates around 1870s and it is constructed in walnut. It has a detailed hand carved backsplash plaque. A top marble, and one drawer. It also has a cabinet which interior is wrapped in marble. It presents some minors woodworm already treated. The marble top has been repaired. Dimensions are: 33 ½” table tall, 46 ½” total height, 14 ¾” wide and 15 ¼” deep.

There is some fading on the sides of the stands. The interiors of the cabinets retain the original white glass/enamel. There is cracking to the glass/enamel lining inside one cabinet and a line crack on the shelf of one cabinet(refer to photos) All that being said. These cabinets really are in wonderful condition, especially considering the age. They are very sturdy. The doors and drawers function easily. They were very well taken care of. ANTIQUE FRENCH DEMI LUNE END TABLE W/EXQUISITE INLAY~BRONZE MTS~MARBLE~LOVELY~NR I am happy to offer for your consideration a very old and lovely demi lune table that can be an end table or just a wonderful occassional. As seen in my pictures. It was imported by Thonet Bros. of New York. Fascinating Austrian gent who was commissioned by a famous architect in the 1800s to redo the Baroque Palace in Vienna. At that time. Which was around 1850s, Thonet had stores in Chicago, New York and abroad. He imported fine furniture, both that he made and purchased abroad to send to N.Y. City, the heart of wealth during the Victorian era. Please see the sticker that was found under the marble top. Size of this table is 31" high. 28 1/4" wide and 14" deep. The marble top was made about 3/4" to overhang. There are no big cracks or pieces ... moremissing from the rose colored marble. Some wear and a small chip on the back edge that cannot be seen, but have to mention. Remember this table is very old. You will see pictures of the construction of joints. One joint was repaired a very long time ago and there is a small gap on the top different from the left front joint.HOWEVER.SOLID AND STURDY and does not take away from the structural or aesthetic integrity. Just leave it alone. The original locks are intact also. EXQUISITE MARQUETRY AND BORDERS. This is what Thonet was known for and commissioned for. In the Royal Baroque Palace. Vienna, his specialty was the inlay throughout, floors, furniture restoration, etc. He was an Austrian with impecable taste and talent. The rich and famous purchased his wares throughout the world. All the marquetry and veneers are intact except very minor chips on the bottom of the last drawer to the right(IF YOU CAN SEE IT? but I have to mention it. Fresh out of New York City. We are pleased to offer you this beautiful PAIR of gorgeous antique Louis XV FRENCH MIRRORED TABLES made by the famous Mercier Freres/ Cassard. They are suitable for use as side tables or bed side night stands. each table features a smoked mirror top, that looks just amazing, framed/ held down by a wide bronze band. Standing on four high beautifully curved legs, all ending in gilt bronze shoes/ saboes. Each table has one wide drawer between the front legs, quality dovetailed and with pin plugs that prevent the drawers from falling out. Entire piece is finished all 360 degrees around, rich vivid color wood, with immaculate inlay. One of the tables still has the original"CASSARD ROMANO ET CIE PARIS" label on the underside. PR ANTIQUE 19thC FRENCH LOUIS XV PROVINCIAL PRIMITIVE WALNUT NIGHSTSTANDS 3 DRWR
We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of old. 19th century, 3 drawer nightstands. The nightstands feature French, Louis XV or Provincial detailing such as cabriole legs. The pair are made of walnut with walnut veneer tops. This special pair are some what primitively made with old flat nails, and hand cut joints and dowels where the tops fit together. The drawers are dovetailed and are hand cut/notched so that they slide smoothly. The tops are nailed to the bodies on the back sections. The side profiles feature a recessed panel design that is quite nice. The pair have brass, door knocker style, pulls. The pair are not marked, but one of them does have a series of old, stenciled numbers on the back. The pair are in very good condition considering their age. They are heavy and sturdy. The tops do have some minor splitting in the veneer ... morewith a couple of slightly buckled areas. These are not too severe and are not distracting and they can be resolved. The drawer interiors do show evidence of use. As they are, this is a beautiful pair with a wonderful, aged/antique character. The nightstands each measure 29" tall.
