The images mirror each other so this ... moreis a true pair and the lamps feature two different views. On one side is a striped awning, draped pavilion with tiled floor. It's a party with elegantly dressed and coifed Lords and Ladies conversing while servants offer refreshment. On the opposing side is a lovely longtailed songbird in a rose thicket surrounded by butterflies. Both scenes are topped by raised golden lizards with long tails. The handles are green opposing or"kissing kitties" The"walls" dividing the scenes feature 2 pairs of scaled google eyed coy fish and abundant flora decoration. The surface of the lamps has a wonderful slightly raised texture where the paints were applied. The photos do not do proper justice to these fabulous lamps! They are large. Measuring 16 1/2" to the top of the vase and 9" wide. The mounts are antique brass and the bases are footed chinese wood stands in dark brown. I have just replaced sockets in both lamps and they function beautifully. The shades shown are not included in this auction but if you want them, I will include them in a separate box for an additional $100.00 plus shipping. In my opinion, these lamps really should have large custom made tall drum shades. This pair was purchased from a wealthy estate in South Beach about 10 years ago and are VERY FINE. I do not know the exact age and I am not going to take them apart to see the markings on the bottom of the vases. Ebay limits the number of photos to 12. The tops of both sides are slightly worn as seen it photos 1 and 2 It's missing one wheel in the rear as seen in photo 3 perhaps during the move from Pennsylvania. I would assume you could just remove the remaining wheels and have it stationary. As seen in photo#4. It is missing a piece of wood that secures one of the folding mirrors. There are no screws to attach the mirror to the vanity itself. I just slid the larger mirror into place to take the photos. I'm not sure if the chair included with it is the original chair. Beautiful Antique Reuge Musical Baby Brush West Germany
Offered here at auction for your consideration is a very sweet well preserved antique musical baby brush made in West Germany. The music box plays a lovely tune when it is wound and the little stem pulled out(unknown) and is marked Reuge St.Croix. The brush itself is excellent with no missing bristles that I can see. The top is quite decorative with swirls of silver and little flowers.Not sure if it is silver or silverplate. Antique Oak Larkin Bureau / High Boy
Antique bureau/ high boy. I believe it is oak. But I am not positive. I was told by an antique dealer that it is a Larkin, but there are no stickers or marks on the back to prove it. Great carved detail on each drawer. The top surface has some wear to it, but it is not noticeable unless looking very close. The white shown in the picture is paper towel stuck in the very small cracks. The four bottom legs have wheels for easier maneuvering. Size is about 4' tall x 2' 9' wide x 1.5' deep. There is a small lip on the back at the top, which I previously used to rest an antique mirror when it was up against a wall. It looked great, and put use to the lip, where there was originally supposed to be an attached decorative piece.
