It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. Please use the pictures for the rest of the description and zoom for complete and accurate condition details. Please consider pictures for more detailed description and condition details. DIMENSIONS: Dimensions taken at furthest points) 51"H x 36W x 20"D ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful antique marble top washstand vanity. With ten gorgeous 3-D Art Nouveau back splash tiles. I do not know the exact age, but I believe the tiles and marble mostly date to around 1880-1910. This washstand comes in two separate pieces; 1)The marble top, wood and tile backsplash; 2) wood cabinet base that is supported by four nicely turned legs on original convenient casters. Naturally this piece has some minor imperfections but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition; it is strong and sturdy. Not sure of the type of wood. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. The tiles show light crazing and only one shows a hairline crack. I have not removed any tiles to see if they are marked, but this piece is worth the price

LOW TANK WATER CLOSET, OAK, PATENTED 1908, with MARBLE TOP, alternate TABLE
This is a vintage antique Low Water Closet made of Oak type wood with a rock type marble top(not plastic) It is lovely sitting by itself as a decoration and used as a low shelf. The marble lid measures 22 inches long by 9 inches deep and it has a small hole in it and is 7/8 inches thick. The back of the water closet is stamped"No 3 Tank Patented Aug. 11. 1908. The original copper lining is in the tank, along with its parts less its flapper and original flush handle. The original flush handle is missing and was replaced with a modern reproduction, the handle part only. It appears a board maybe missing, or it was made this way as I see no nail holes, on the back side at its base. A board 2 1/2 inches by 19 3/4 inch maybe missing there. The marble lid is not the original lid for this water closet. The water closet measures 20 1/2 inches ... morewide by 8 3/4 inches deep by 15 inches high or 16 1/4 inches high with the marble lid attached. I used this water closet as a table and decoration in a bathroom and the last few photos shows boards underneath the unit so that it balanced with the piping still attached to the closet. I will include the small boards to balance the unit in case you desired to utilize the water closet as a table or furniture. Or as a decoration conversation piece. Shipping is high because of the weight but best I can do. Rate is not oversized higher price to ship but do consider 65 pounds. And a 17 by 24 by 14 inch heavy box. Brass accents adorn the mirror supports with brass acorn knobs securing the oval mirror to the supports. The original white& grey marble is inserted into the vanity top. PERFECT SIZE WALNUT MARBLE TURTLE TOP HALL TABLE ORIGINAL FINISH CIRCA 1880
This is walnut victorian marble turtle top table circa 1880. It has the original finish and original white marble. The table is the perfect size table to use in a hall or other small area where a lamp is needed. With the wall flush design it will fit nicely in a tight spot. The table weasures 34" wide at the back. 26" wide at the front, 16 3/4" deep at the center of the marble, and 28 1/4" tall to the top of the marble. The table sits on 4 brass rollers. Both the front and back legs are nicely carved as are the 4 stretchers and apron. At the center of the stretcher there is a finial on the top and bottom. On the apron front is a carved acorn. The original finish has some spots that have alligator but I like to keep the original finish when ever possible. Elegant antique Victorian ornate style marble top round table in walnut from the early 1900's owned by a relative. The marble top is ebony with interesting. Attractive contrasting grain and no cracks that are visible to me. The wood is walnut and has its original finish. Very nicely carved accents with usage wear-minor scratches. Pedestal, some feet) c. 1825 and significantly rebuilt in the 20th Century Item# 12001078208 This is a beautiful decorative work. Crafted using old parts to lend originality and age to the table as it was crafted for a second time during the 20th Century. It features a broad solid black and gray marble top, resting over a new mahogany veneered top with pine plywood secondary woods, attaching to the head of the base with screws from beneath. The pedestal itself appears to be of the period, probably c. 1825, a wonderful gesso decorated and gilt highlighted work of art that is wrapped in a bulbous leafed palmetto formation over a ring turned base. This tenons into the triangular Lion Footed mahogany ... moreveneered base. Most of the feet are rebuilt, though after one original foot to maintain the integrity of the design. While this is not a collector quality work. This is an affordable work with significant character and age throughout. An original Gueridon of this style would be prohibitively priced, making this the perfect selection of a decorator with a budget looking for the depth of an original without the cost. Measurements: 36" wide x 29 1/4" high Condition Report: 1. Severely distressed gilt with exposed and damaged gesso on pedestal. 2. Numerous chips to marble top around the edge(all photographed in the slideshow) 3. Composed of old parts. Meaning portions of this table were originally a period Gueridon table, probably damaged significantly which led to it being overhauled: Round top is not original.
