This is a great clothes dryer. It folds up in seconds and will stand in a cupboard or corner until it's needed again. Setting it up is just as fast and easy. Up for auction is an original antique Akai Aloha Manufacturing Co. Koa Wood Ukulele dating from the 1920's. This Uke also has the Tabu stamp on the inner part of the body. Made of solid koa wood and has a nice deep color. Frets are brass and is missing two tuner pegs. Has the original Aloha Hawaii water transfer on to neck. Overall condition is nice for its age. Has no broken parts. Needs a good cleaning, two hairline cracks on the front of the body and one on the rear. The neck has no cracks and overall a nice original uke from this era. Measures approx. 21 inches long. Very rare ukulele and is a must for any Hawaiian collector. Found at a recent 90 year estate of along time Marine Officer and was safely stored away for years. Here we have a pair of wooden spear-backed Nottingham fishing reels. My Dad(who lives in Nottinghamshire) found them while clearing his garage out. He was given them by his Dad when he first took up fishing as a boy, and they weren't new then, which makes them 80 years old at the very least- my Grandad apparently told my Dad they were Victorian, we have no way of telling if that was really true though. Nice condition for their age. A bit grubby but not damaged. The larger reel is 4" diameter, the smaller one is 3.5" Both reels spin OK, the larger one does catch a little at one spot though. Antique Ships Wheel with Brass Hub No Rotting or Missing Wood! 10 Spindles Wow. What a great maritime piece. Just picked this ship's wheel up at an auction. This is a real ship's wheel folks, not one of those cheap reproductions. And this fella is heavy, it weighs around 65 pounds. The wheel does have finish loss and should be given some attention. Looks like put together with dowels or wood pieces over nails and nails. There is one section where the wheel has come apart along the outer rim and needs to be repaired.There are 10 spindles and they are all there and in nice condition. The center hub or"brass boss" does appear to be brass. Not sure if just a plating of it or all the way thru. I cannot pick up on any makers mark on the hub, but there might be one there just can't locate it. The hole in the middle of the hub ... moreis squared, not keyed. This ship's wheel appears to be made of mahogany. Or teak. There are a few cracks on the spindles from drying out and one along one of the outer hub side pieces, but again this ship's wheel is in very good overall condition. Ready to be sanded down. stained and some coats of marine poly put on to bring back its' magnificence again. You just have to promise me to send pictures if you are the one that acquires it for restoration! Just love to see this sort of stuff returned to it's original condition and beauty. The wheel is very heavy and is 59" across to outside of spindles. By 3.5" wide at outer wheel and 3" wide at the hub. Would look great up on a wall, or have seen these used as tables with glass over them or to use again! The wheel is too large for shipping via regular carriers. So can get a quote via a freight company or for local pick-up(Wilmington, DE) I will also offer to deliver the item to within 60 miles of Wilmington, DE one way. Gorgeous Big Wood Antique / Vintage Rocking Cradle Crib Turned Dowels Slats 37"
Attractive. Well made rocking baby crib. Made before 1950- how much before is unknown. Solid wood. Turned dowel and slat construction. Dark stain. Overall outside dimensions 37" long x 29" wide x 27" high. Inside crib dimensions 35" long x 17" wide x 12" deep. Comes with a white plastic covered Polyurethane foam pad(not shown) dimensions 32"x17"x 2" Previously owned. Shows some effect of use in inconsequential scratches and a few small chips/nicks. And age in dust and need for cleaning. Possibly refinished and possible slat replacement. No visible repairs and no apparent need for repairs. Joints are tight. Rocks but not rickety. Great decorative antique furniture. The crib was made before modern child safety standards and so probably does not meet those standards. I have no idea what its weight ... morelimit is. For example. The sheath is also hand carved wood, with wood belt loop. There are some cracks in the handle, but is still very sturdy! The blade is a very strong metal and you can tell it was used. There is a very small chip on the edge of the blade. The hand carving is very fancy! the wood is a little dry, but the new owner can condition it. I am leaving it in the condition you see in the photos. the blade is approx. 16" long. the whole sword is approx. 23" long, the sheath is approx. 18" long. A fantastic miniature club 13" long with a 4" grip the head is 4 1/2" long x 1 3/4" wide with a 1" tall face. I believe that this was either a salesman's sample or was made by an apprentice as a test. The head is transitional in shape and was never played with(ha ha) It has a horn slip a bore thru socket shaft and the initals W. H. S. on the top. I think that the listing has been replaced and possibly the grip. It is in wonderful condition and possibly one of a kind. Driver, Mashie and putting cleek all with hickory shafts and lambskin grips, the irons are smooth face. This set is made for Alex Taylor sporting goods store in New York City. These are from the early 1900's. The Shield with"T" in the center was first used by the company in 1915. The clubs are: Driver- horn slip held in place with 2 wooden pegs 22 1/4" long shaft. 7 1/2" grip head is 7/8" high face, 1 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" long wood with red stain and stamped"Alex Taylor" Mashie- 21" long with 7 1/2" grip smooth face head 1 1/8" ... morehigh x 2" long cleek mark stamped on back of head"22E. 42St. N.Y.C. I don't know how old this is. The metal has rust. The third picture looks like a strip of wood is missing. The wood is just dark. It is 14 1/2" tall x 9 3/4" in diameter at rim. AM STATIONS This listing is for this big old heavy box. It has knobs. We paid alot for tis at auction. So we think it must be something cool, but we are clueless. A nice ebayer wrote to us and said crystal radio from the early 1920's to receive the AM broadcast band. We unscrewed the top so we could see inside. You can see in the photos what is in the top half of this box. The white porcelain thing on the left is missing a piece on the left side. I'm sure there is more stuff in the bottom. Though we did not unscrew the bottom as there are knobs attached. Nice wood box measures approx 13.5" high(not including handle) x 11.25" x 8" Looks like ... morea spot on the front to plug in a headset which we don't have. Probably missing parts. But very cool. Would make a cool hollywood movie prop. Or use for parts for some experiment. Here is a different point of view from another experienced eBayer: This is not a crystal ham radio. It is a one tube home made radio. It was used to pickup AM broadcast stations. These were sold as a box of parts. And you built your own case or cabinet. I have several of this same design, with a different case of course. You can see the one tube socket, it's white,in the bottom left corner. This gorgeous sculpture is that of a partly nude women with elongated arms. Neck, fingers, hands, feet, toes, and body. She is carrying a very detailed basket on her head. The wood looks to be teak however this is only a guess. In Bali fine-grained hardwoods such as teak and strong fruit trees such as jackfruit. Shiny ebony. Tamarind, hibiscus and frangipani are the most popular carving woods. The grain often follows a skin pattern or veins in the arms of the statue. And this carving shows just that. I sell many of these old printer's type cases or drawers this is a very nice one. It is very old. It is all wood and the top has the lip that the printer used to pull the drawer out of the cabinet. The depth of the slots are an inch deep. Which is very nice as some I have sold have slots of less than that. The case measures about 16 1/2 inches by about 32 1/2 inches. Incredible estate find: Antique wood and inlaid Mother of Pearl s ewing box circa 1875(or earlier) There was a note inside that this had belonged to the owner's great great aunt and had been handed down and given to her in 1970(It was about 95 years old at the time) The box includes many i m plements ALL in great condition. To include 10 Mother of Pearl and Bone spools. Eight are 1" and 2 are 1 1/2"2 MOP winders. 1 MOP wax t hreader. A 7/8" thimble marked Ste rling with an anchor mark and several ot he r implements as shown with mother of pea rl and bon e. One piece may be part of a manicure set(not sure) with a very fancy goldfilled handle. The box interior is silk with rousching and has many compartments. Antique Round Glass Dome Display Cloche 8 1/2" Tall with Wood Base
Vintage round glass display dome with wooden base. The glass measures 8" tall and 5 1/2" diameter across the bottom. The base is 6 1/2" diameter and 3/4" thick. The glass has 3 large air bubbles.A few scuffs and a few chips along the bottom rim. The wood base has a discoloration in the middle. a drilled hole and a few scratches. Thanks for looking.
