It was hand turned on a lathe and crafted from birds eye burled maple ... morewood. It is slightly out of round measuring about 10" x 9 1/4" x on one side 1 7/8" high and on the other going up to 2 1/4" high. It is in very good vintage condition with a nice patina. On the bottom there three black scorch marks where it looks like someone might have set it down on a hot burner. It is not deep and the signed name on the bottom- Munising- is still clearly visible. It is a really nice decorative bowl what would go well with any collection. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Munising bowls hail from their namesake town. Nestled on the South Bay of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Workers at Munising Woodenware Company, in business from 1908 to 1955, machine-lathed each vessel out of hardwood, usually maple, from the forests nearby. The factory produced other household items, such as butter molds, spoons and breadboards. The goods were sold at department stores, where many found their way onto wedding registries. During World War II, the factory fashioned 50 million tent stakes for the Army and the Marines. Of the many items the company made, the bowls were among the few types of pieces branded with its name. It is missing some of the original paint and it has a beautiful patina and the tail is chipped. The fins a re all made out of old tin and the gills of the decoy have carved lines with a curved tail. This is a vintage. Antique Premax Steel 48 in. rod in very nice condition. It is circa 1930's to 1940's. It has a tempered steel rod and diamond knurled walnut finished wood handle grips. The rod and the front part of the handle is in a burgundy color and the hand grip is a natural walnut color. Has a few scuffs. But minor stuff. It has a patent number 2206019 and a label or decal that says"Premax Made in Niagara Falls USA. Check it out in the photo's. I have seen a few of these but never in this condition. Here's a rare and Exquisit Vintage Antique Pre-1900 Fly Fishing Reel(made of wood + brass + horn) it has a click drag which is engaged/disengaged by the brass button on the back. All gears and drag working parts are made of brass. Reel handles are made of some type of horn with brass fittings. brass button on front is to remove spool from seat. The spool and the back of the reel seat are made of unknown hardwood with some light grooves engraved into them. The back of the spool and the reel seat have some machined tin or aluminum so that dirt doesn't enter the drag assembly. Reel has no indication of manufacturer Working condition is excellent. Click drag works great- you could take this out and fish with it immediately. Spool spins freely on spindle when drag is removed. Note: one tooth is broken on the drag gear, see photos- doesn't ... moreeffect operation. Visual condition is excellent. Shows no sign of wear, except where your finger nail would rub next to the handle and wood has a scratch or two and neither are really even worth mentioning. Finish is still glossy and no bare spots- may have been just lacquered and not stained. Reel foot shows no sign of wear. Near perfect condition considering its age. Very minor scuffs. Scratches, cracks. No paint loss. Beautiful hard to find Perch color. Perfect big glass eyes with no cracks. Wood box included. Posted with On Dec-28-12 at 04:13:56 PST. Seller added the following information: I was asked a couple of times if there are any markings on the box. There are none as far as I can tell. It measures approximately 4.5" x 1.5 x 1.5. Don't believe it is original but lure fits like a bug. The lure itself has no signs that it has ever been fished. Not even a hook pointer on the body. Must have been put away for a long time and is finally seeing the light of day.

This was purchased at the estate sale of a 103 year old woman whose family had owned a hardware store since the late 1800s. This was used in their store. The black metal parts have a heavy black japanned finish. I don't know what type of wood was used to make this but the curved wood part on top has a bird's eye grain. The wood part on top has a groove for the rubber ring with 14 pairs of loops for the fishing pole tops. There are 14 corresponding round recessed spots in the bottom piece of wood for the base of the fishing rods. Unusual must have display rack for the antique fishing rod and reel collector! Condition: It is all original and is in very good ... morecondition with all original parts intact. No cracks or chips in the metal and most of the original japanning is intact.some rubs and oxidation from use but they are pretty minor. Measurements: 33" tall overall. The bottom measures 11" in diameter and the top measures about 6 3/4" in diameter. Here is a rare wood handle seven tine cast iron ice fishing spear. The spear is 80 inches long. Weighs about 3 pounds and has a hole in the handle for a safety strap. The man who had this used it on Black Lake Michigan. People go to Black Lake for Stuggeon so, the spear might have been used for that. This is the largest spear I have seen around here and the tips are still very sharp. I wanted to hang it over the fire place but, I couldn't talk my wife into that. Full size bow. a tad over 28 inches long. This bow is made from very good wood. It is probably pernambuco or very good and seasoned brazilwood it is hard to tell. The wood is good quality old seasoned wood and is stiff. Very nice round stick in good condition but has an end crack that needs to be closed. You can see it in the picture with the frog off of the bow. This was some old cello player pride and joy as you can see where his finger wore the wrapping down smooth and left a mark. Will make a good quality bow and should produce nice tones. The frog is in good condition including the bow screw. Hello. You are viewing my sale for an Antique Japan Pewter Metal Trinket Box With A Wood Lined Interior. The lid on the box has a scene of two Horses and a Buggy. The metal on the box is either pewter or some other type of metal. I am unsure of the exact material. There are raised letters on the bottom which spell"Made In Japan" The entire box measures 6 and 1/2" long by 2" tall by 3 and 3/4" wide. The lid and bottom do not have hinges so the lid is lifted on and off the box. It appears that at some point there were hinges that connected the lid to the box however they are no longer present. The lid has a slight bend in it. The inner wood does have some wear marks. Overall this is a great box with great detail. The metal has an intricate design and look to it. A 19th century wood and iron handmade signed harmonica found in Kankakee County IL measuring approximately 4 1/4 x 1 1/8 x 1/2 inches. It appears to read"26 IND CO B" on top and below the initials"TC" A search of the National Park Service indicates a Mr.Thomas Chambers of the 26th Regiment Indiana Company B. Another source shows Thomas Chambers of Edwardsport IN died at New Orleans on August 31. 1863. Another Union soldier part of the same regiment, Thomas Cooper, also of Edwardsport, is listed in that same database as passing on October 20, 1863. Given the location of its last origin and the deceased, it is reasonably possible that this item is a Civil War relic passed down to a family member. A light blow and the instrument does make a harmonica noise. Some more recent loss to some of the read openings on the non-iron ... moreside. 14 openings total. Thanks for looking. This is an antique"Calliope" made by the Bostwick& Burgess Mfg. Co. Norwalk. Ohio. The same item is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art( in much poorer condition) with a circa date of 1889. It is a panpipe whistle instrument made of solid wood. It has the complete light green paper label. The instrument is made of striped pattern wood with 10 inlaid circular pieces at the mouthpiece that form the whistles. Other than some light stains on the paper label the piece is in excellent condition. It measures about 6 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches deep and 1/2 inch thick.

There is a note from the previous owner on the base. It tells you that this is"Virgin of Child from Ilsulo" translation is the"Virgin Mary with Child from IIoilo which is a province of the Philippines ... moreand there is a church called"Lady of the Candles. The figurine has remnants of polychrome decoration. All hand-carved the figure stands on a pedestal base with a somewhat spherical ball. As expected there is wear and loss to the paint and some age splits in the wood. She stands at 13 7/8-inches tall. I buy from estate sales. Rummage sales, flea markets and auctions. Antique Native American Painted Wood and Hide Pueblo Drum - 1920's
An Antique Native American Painted Wood and Hide Pueblo Drum. CA 1920's. Approximately 6" high and with a diameter of a bit over 7" Overall weight is about 1 pound. Painted Wood Core with Hide top and bottom surfaces, all of which appear to be original. There is one small area of hide strapping loss and one 1/4" hole to the hide surface on the top cover. Both areas of which may be seen in the photos. The Drum has been examined by a Reputable Denver area dealer in Native American Art and he believes this to be an authentic Early Pueblo Drum, dating to the 20's. The Drum has not had any restoration but has had its bottom hide surface repositioned at some point in the past, also as may be seen in the photos. A Very Nice Early and Original Pueblo Drum.

This is a Lock and Rear Latches for an Antique Singer Bent Wood Portable Sewing Machine Case ONLY. It dates from the mid 1910's and fits cases that carry Singer models 15. 66, 127 and 128. Singer makes a couple different styles. This style uses the square key with two latches located on the right side. There is NO key. The lock is in good working order. The metal is discolored with surface rust. It comes with all original mounting hardware. The lock mounting holes are 2-1/2" apart x 7/16" wide. The rear latches measure 7/8" wide x 1" tall.
