Gorgeous 6pcs vintage glasses& pitcher set deep green glass w/silver overlay This beautiful set has been with my family since the late 60's The pitcher is approx. 10" high x 6" across the top opening x 5" round base. Excellent condition w/no chips. Cracks. The 6 glasses measure approx. 5" high x 3" across the top opening and base of 2 3/4" round. One of the glasses has a tiny nick and chip on the rim-please see pictures. The silver overlay does show some wear-not damage just patina do to age. A beautiful very high quality Persian high grade silver vase. It is hallmarked with the Persian silver standard mark and a makers mark. I would date it to the early 20 th century. It has been beautifully made being very finely engraved with three panels depicting hat I suspect are religious figures. This is a very interesting Art Deco/ Arts& Crafts Tall Silver Trumpet Vase by the Barbour Silver Co. circa 1895. The design of this piece is striking and unusual and stands 17 inches tall. The base is 5 1/4 inches wide and the top of the trumpet is 2 3/8 inches wide. The top has nicely detailed rim that matches the six-sided(hexagonal) flared base. The condition is very good with some age appropriate wear to the decorative beading between the base and the upper vase. There is a very small dent in one side of the base as shown in photo 5. SIGNED JAPANESE MEIJI ? Hand-Etched Bronze Vase INLAID SILVER Guilding 1900-1950
This is a turn-of-the-last-century JAPANESE ART BRONZE URN from MEIJI Restoration Period approx. 1890- 1912. It may have been produced around 1950-not sure. This lovely Vase is a finely cast and turned bronze jar with fluted opening. It is covered in gold enamel. The side is meticulously hand-engraved with a scene depicting a standing Samurai, a geisha playing a stringed instrument, an elder and a seated happy Buddha. Each beautifully engraved figure is enhanced with silver, gilding, copper and black oxidation for a lovely effect. The urn is ETCHED/SIGNED WITH THE ARTIST'S KENJI's 2-character maker's mark signature. It is in Fine condition with no dents or cracks, light overall wear, some tiny nicks on the upper rim. Antique Sterling Silver 215 Gr Mount Cut Glass Crystal Fan Vase Edwardian
Normal 0 Fresh from a fabulous multi-generation Japanese American estate comes this stunning hand cut glass fan vase insert with Sterling silver base that we igh s 215 grams. The opening diameter of the base is 2 3/4" and the b ottom is 4 5/8" Together it's 7 5/8" tall and 7 1/8" at the widest. It's marked Sterling 2889 136 with a Y with a ball on each point. On the other side is a partial artist signature WIN over w hich there is a 25(I assume part of 925) which stylistically looks like the mark of Chicago Arts& Crafts silversmith James Winn. Who used this mark from the late 19th century into the early 20th. The fluted base is decorated with a stamped floral and garland design, the impression of which can be seen on the inside. The glass insert is beautifully and deeply hand cut with the flower leaves having ... morean Intaglio cut. It's in excellent condition and holds 2 dozen roses. It's greatly in need of a polish. It was so black when I purchased it. I thought it was plated. I polished it enough to use it at a dinner party and got lots of oohs and ahs. It makes a stunning centerpiece. If it doesn't make my opening bid. I'll keep it! The previous 82 year old owner was a 1953 Yale graduate(and multi-degreed Yale professor) whose physician father also graduated from Yale in 1929. Included in this wonderful estate was a large suitcase filled with three generations of kimonos that have been packed away since 1964. A fine 12' h. Cloisonne enamel vase from the Meiji period. The high-shouldered body exquisitely decorated with a dramatic rendition of sparrows resting on branches of autumn foliage, with lush grasses and flowers below. The back reveals just a few solitary daisy bushes with two daisies in bloom and three still in bud, all executed on a deep blue back ground. For your consideration is a striking. Little murano vase. It is 3 1/4 inches tall and 3 inches at its widest point. It has a 3/4 inch opening at the top. It is a bright blue with loads of shiny silver aventurine Stripes of burgundy and copper decorate the sides. There are no chips or cracks. T he pontil on the bottom is a little rou gh and the glass is a little irregular in places but that is expected with blown glass. It still has a label that reads: Made in Murano Italy. It appears to be a newer piece. This is particularly beautiful placed in a sunny window. Buyer will be responsible for the fee to mail the item. La Pierre Sterling Silver Patinia Copper Vase Art Nouveau Poppy Flower ca 1890's
Size- approx. 4 5/8" high x 2 1/4" across base x 2" across top condition- used. Estate item. Marks on patina from age/ use, there are scratches& dents. The Poppy flower is stamped"STERLING" on the back of one of the petals. the rim is sterling and there is a sterling band around the center of vase holder and the stem is sterling. LaPierre Manufacturing Co. mark and"SILVER ON COPPER" on bottom. Design is typical for the later part of 1890's-1910. La Pierre Manufacturing Company artist applied patina surface on a copper substrate with sterling silver flower and trim made ca 1895-1910. The intense red color is made using a special process using a mineral cuprite(Cu 2 O) The Poppy like flower is marked on the backside of the petals"STERLING" There is tarnish from over the years on the flower ... moreand ther sterling trim. But this is common in all these type of pieces. I advise using only a jeweler's cloth to clean the sterling, and a very mild, non acidic or boric acid cleaner to wash the vase if you ever need to. We have not had to do so, this one is in fairly good condition aside from some dents and a few scratches, there are some spots on the vase which probably are due to contact from natural chemicals in flowers/ leaves which were put into the vase over the years or things which came into contact with the patina surface. These are highly collected and hard to come by. It is approximately 4 5/8" high x 2 1/4" across the base x 2" across the top. Ask any questions you feel you need to ask before making a purchase.
