Here we have a lovely pair of Indian miniatures. I know absolutely nothing about these miniatures and would welcome any information from expert collectors! To me they look very old.may be hand painted? I have listed them as antique but do stress I really do not know the age of the pictures. They could be painted on a bone.They are in oval metal frames which measure 4cms by 3cms. The backs have signs of old glue on them as if they have been removed from something. The frames have a thin glass lens covering the pictures. The pictures are beautiful but quite dirty so this could be a restoration job for someone! I have not attempted to clean the pictures in any way. The only way I can add any more detail to my description is to suggest you take time to enlarge all my photographs.hopefully they will speak louder to you than my words! Up for auction are two lovely air brushed paintings of Hawaiian Hibiscus, circa 1940's. The same artist painted and signed both paintings. I am not sure of the name of the artist. The name is hard to read, Stu Wittman? is one guess. If anyone who views these paintings knows the name of the artist please email me so I can share that information. Each air brushed Hibiscus painting is 16" by 20" in size and is painted on thick matt board. On the back of one of the paintings"Hibiscus# 2" is written in pencil. The other has no writing on the back. They are both in good condition. Each has some water staining on the left edge. Plus each has some corner and edge chipping.
