AMAZING THOMAS SINGER NAVAJO RESERVATION STERLING CROWN W/ JEWELS SHAUNDALE
This is truly an amazing find. It is a solid sterling silver"princess" or"pageant" crown. That was made by noted Navajo silver artisan, Thomas Singer. The crown was certainly a custom piece, and was purchased as dead pawn(documentation provided to buyer) The crown was made for a fortunate girl who attended the Little Singer Community School, which is on the Navajo Reservation, near Winslow, Arizona. I believe it was probably made in the 1960s. It measures 4-3/8" high at the front, and is currently 7-1/2" from front-to-back. I say, currently" because Mr. Singer ingeniously designed the crown to be adjustable, and also created hinges at the sides, to allow the piece to conform to the wearer's head. It weighs a very heavy 5.65 troy ounces! The crown is decorated with blue and red cabochon turquoise ornaments, ... moreman-made rubies and natural clear agates. The front is decorated with Native American designs, as seen in the photos. The front of the crown features gold-filled applied letters which say, MISS LSCS(Little Singer Community School) SHAUNDALE" I believe that'Shaundale' was the name of the young lady who owned this crown; I do not know what the event was for which the crown was made. The piece is in excellent condition, with no damage. It could use more polish, but I will leave that to the new owner's discretion. The piece is signed, THOMAS SINGER" behind the central turquoise ornament. Thomas(aka, Tommy' Singer is one of the foremost Native American silver artisans working today, and his work is widely collected. This crown could be the centerpiece of any collection of Native American silver. It is truly a museum piece, and is guaranteed as described. Please ask any questions. This is an older mirror from BOMBAY KIDS that's not available for purchase any more. It's from 2006. It's a very heavy mirror to ship. Which is why I haven't listed it yet. It's a mirror face with princess hair. Crown and"jewels" on the front. There is very little to say that these pictures don't show. It is made with something heavy like resin or plaster. It's about 18" high and 12 3/4" across the front from curl to curl. The mirror itself is an odd shape. The highest and widest points are 7 1/2" to 8 1/2" high and 6 1/2" to 7" across. Vintage 1960's Prague Czechoslovakian 900 Silver Miniature Royal Crown Jewels with Original Box and Paper. Written in 4 languages. This 3 piece set was made by Soluna, a Czechoslovakian union of craftspeople, in business from 1946-1994. It is a fine miniature copy of the coronation regalia of Charles lV. It is in good vintage condition, with some discoloration. I did not polish it, that's up to you. It is solid silver cast, hallmarked 900 on the scepter. It has a gold wash with colored enamel to represent the jewels. The blue presentation box is lined with dark crimson velvet and measures 3 7/8" x 3" wide. The royal crown is 23mm in diameter, the scepter is 65mm long and the royal apple is 20mm high. The 3 pieces weigh 12.7 grams. Circa 1870 cartes de visite albumen photograph on a CDV mount depicting the crown jewels in the tower of London. The photograph was done by English photographer J. Davis Burton. On the backside of the CDV mount is the photographer's credit imprinted in purple ink along with inscription in black ink. Approximate over-all dimensions of the mount are 4" x 2.5" with the albumen photographic image measuring approximately 3.5" x 2.25" The CDV is in excellent condition. The CDV was stored in an album from circa 1870 when the CDV was produced which kept it protected from exposure to light and wear. ACCURACY OF DESCRIPTION. Up for auction is a Vintage c1960 SOLUNA.CZECHOSLOVAKIA Miniature Crown Jewels In Box 900 Hallmarked. This is a fine miniature copy of the coronation regalia of Charles IV. Solid silver cast, hallmarked 900. Goldplated with color enamel. It was made in the 1960's and there is original paperwork(see pictures above) It is made by Soluna, Czechoslovakian union of craftspeople. History: Charles IV 14 May 1316-29 November 1378 Born Wencesiaus in Prague was Holy Roman Emperor from 1355 until his death. It was commissioned by Czech King Charles IV for his own coronation in the year 1347. Unlike other European crowns, mostly from later periods, the 656 year old Czech crown is not blazing with cut diamonds but rather with large uncut stones, polished but left in their natural shapes, including the oldest known ruby. The others are emeralds,sapphires ... moreand pearls, attached to a 22 carat gold cirlet mad up of a fleur de lis pattern, In reference to Charles French father. The crown, along with its accompanying scepter and orb are only shown to the public once every five years. This also came out of a very high-end estate.
