Auction is for a vintage condition St. Edwards Crown the Crown Jewels exact replica. These crowns were produced for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. They were sent all over the world so that people could see what the Coronation crown looked like. This is an exact replica of the real Crown Jewels. The jewels are colored glass pastes. This was purchased in England during the 1960's. The crown originally came sitting on a purple cushion and was enclosed in a glass display box. This crown was never worn by royalty. But it does show some signs of age, and wear. The metal is tarnished in various spots throughout the crown. There are 3 glass pastes missing from the crown. The crown measures 11.5" tall and is 9.5" wide in diameter at the top of the crown. The base of the crown is 8" in diameter. It weighs 4.2 pounds. I believe ... morethat it is made out of brass. O'HARA GLASS CO. EAPG 1888 Creamer Pitcher "Chandelier" "Crown Jewels"
Offered for auction is an antique EAPG pitcher made by the O'Hara Glass Co. of Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania. It is pattern No. 82 and goes by both names, Chandelier, or Crown Jewels. The pitcher is about 5" high and has a beautiful twisted handle that is fused expertly with the two-part mold glass. The plain part of the glass has a few minor scratches. And several of the 16 base points on which it rests have areas of roughness and one flat flake, not visible when viewed as it stands. There are no cracks or restorations.
