Description: Absolutely fantastic hand-hewn sculptural bronze studio ring. In excellent condition and with a gorgeous aged patina to the bronze. This is an old piece. I do not know the precise origin of this ring but it came to us from a collection of very good Scandinavian jewelry. My own best guess on it is that it may be from Finland. The landscape-style abstract design and the ball-like forms are themes that you sometimes see coming from Finland. This ring is size 10-1/4. It is a completely hand-crafted ring so its width varies slightly moving around the ring, but the overall width is 7/16 inch wide. It weighs 9.6 grams. I believe this ring to be unsigned although as you can see in one of the pictures that caught it in a certain light, it almost looks like there is some lettering worked into the design. I do not see this on normal viewing ... moreof the ring, though, so that may be a coincidence of the way the deep crevices show up in photographs.
