This is a lot of decorations for an ANTIQUE FRENCH CHINA CLOSET. It includes numerous brass/tin(metal) bendable pieces of what looks to be pressed trim work. Then there are some heavy metal decorations that(seem to be corner or leg pieces? There is a little pill bottle full of the old tiny vintage brass nails. I am not quite sure if this is all the decorations that go onto a China Closet. I know the handle was not there. These are used. Here is an antique teakwood carved box from China. My great uncle brought this back from China in either 1937 or 1938. I posted a photo of him in front of great wall during his 1937 trip and he brought back copy of China Press from the 1938 trip. This box is in great shape and a beautiful piece. Antique John Maddock Royal Vitreous China Chamber Pot and Ewer 1860 Poppy HUGE!
These gorgeous pieces of Royal Vitreous were made by John Maddock and Sons. In England, circa 1860. The pattern is POPPY. The background is white with a lot of gold, and the poppies in bright deep blue. The ewer is 11 inches tall. And measures 9 1/2 inches from the edge of the handle to the tip of the spout. The top opening is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The widest part of the body measures 7 1/2 inches. Trimmed in gold at the upper edges. The chamber pot. Or slop pot, stands a tall 13 1/2 inches, with the lid. It is 10 1/2 inches from handle tip to handle tip. It is 10 1/2 inches in diameter. A fabulous piece! The box of tissues are NOT included. This spectacular platter is between 178- 191 years old and painted in iron-red and cobalt blue with flowers in the Imari style. This beautiful antique footed compote or cake plate shows no manufacturers make or mark. The top of the dish is hand painted with a very detailed portrait of a young girl wearing a mop cap and yellow dress. Certainly Victorian in age. The dish comes in a fine white bone china with a heavy gold trim in scalloped design. The pedestal is also beautifully decorated with elegant gols embelishments. Generally it is in great condition with no major damage. However where the pedestal is attached to the plate underneath there has been a slight repair right at the joint and a faint hairline to the pedestal(see photo) The pedestal is attached with a threaded bolt into the underside of the plate. This of course cannot be seen from the top. The portrait is signed but I am not able to make out the name totally? It measures just under 9-1/2" in dia. ... morex 5-1/4" tall. Restored Antique China Cabinet
Beautiful restored wood antique china cabinet for sale. We bought this restored- when we bought it I remember them saying that the solid planks in the back of the cabinet indicated that it was pretty old but I don't remember exactly how old. Since it is an old piece the wood has character and scratches in places- see pictures for examples. Dishes not included/not for sale. You will need to pick up/move. We are located in Parker. CO.
