In the mid-1990's my kids were involved in a local French Immersion program. They struggled a little bit until i started collecting their favorite Manga. Dragonball, in French. They stopped struggling and got really good at reading and conversing in French. There are 34 Dragonball paperbacks here published by Glénat. All the books are in various stages of wear but all are solid. These are well-bound books. None of the pages are even hinting at falling out. The interior illustrations are black& white. The issues here are: 1, 2, 5-19, 21-31, 33-35, 37-40. About half the books have a small sticker with the owner's initials(my kid's) and phone number on the first blank page(see photo) Issue 28 has a gold star pasted on the first blank page. Three of the issues have some very light staining on the first few pages at the edge. ... moreAll of them have been well read and there are varying amounts of scuffing and a few bumps. One spine is missing a 3/4" section of color and one has some grunge on it(you can see it in the photo of the book spines) One book has a slight water curl through the last 1/3rd of the book. There's been no coloring or marking of the pages with pens. Markers or crayons. There are obvious signs of wear, some more than others. There's a handful of relatively pristine books. Some of the pages are just starting to yellow a tiny bit but many are bright and white. Also included are four other items: 1) Issue 6 of Akira Toriyama's"Dr. Slump" 2) Akira Toriyama& Akira Sakuma's"l'appreenti mangaka. L'art du manga" a really cool paperback about how to draw manga characters. 3) A hardback with dustjacket of"Le Grand Livre De Dragon Ball" a full-color Glénat publication featuring Toriyama's art.
