Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE CAST IRON PRINTING PRESS was manufactured by the N. McK. Wilson Co. The printing press is mounted on an unpainted heavy wood base 1 1/4 inches thick by 8 1/2 by 12 1/2. The cast iron press is painted blue which is quite worn. Two support posts on each side support a crosspiece with the company name embossed on it. The crosspiece in turn supports the large metal screw with turn wheel on top which raise and lower the press plate attachment. This is operational and can be raised 12 inches above the base. The top turn wheel is 5 inches in diameeter with an interior three circle design to aid turning. The metal or wood press plate is missing. The metal base of the press is 11 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches. With 8 inches between the two side support posts. The printing press with base stands 20 inches high. Up for auction is this Cast Iron Girl Skipping Rope Mechanical Coin Bank. This piece measures 8 3/4" tall and 8 1/2" wide. There is a coin slot located on the right side above the lever. To make the girl skip rope you turn the handle on the side of the bank to tighten the spring and then push down the lever. There is some rust and paint loss as you can see in my pictures. Up for auction is this Cast Iron Hubley Acrobat Bank. This piece is 7 1/4" tall and 7 3/8" long. Each long side reads Acrobat. The two short sides read Bank. You put your coin on the white spot and then push the lever. The acrobat kicks the coin in to the hole and does a handstand. The bottom is marked Pat. 6,17,1882 HUBLEY. There is a coin slot on the bottom with cover for easy access to your coins. This bank is in working condition. There is some paint loss and rust as you can see in my pictures. It is approximately 6 1/4 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches tall. Side walls are right at 1/4 inches thick and The bail or handle is 7/16 inch rod. Not a flimsly pot like some. Surface rust but no serious pitting or other flaws. Nice sound to this antique bell. It measures 11 1/2" across and is about 3 1/2" tall including the bolt that sits in the middle of the bell. The re is a four tile set with black and yellow glaze that forms an octagon. It is referred to as a Mo orish design. The table shape is square and there are 2 inch square pla in tiles in the corners(2 yellow and 2 black) The tiles have some typical scratches and small nicks/chips from previous use. There is some grout missing and one edge of the iro n table edge is b owed a bit. Most all of the original paint on the cast iron is gone an d there is some rust/corrosion. Cast Iron Tsuba With Sea Serpent / Old w NR
This is a guaranteed old Tsuba I found in the estate of a gentleman that was a World traveler and I am sure he brought this old piece back from Japan. The scene looks like a sea serpent dragon in the water and there are waves. The Tsuba has a round oval shape. It measures 3" wide and 3 3/16" top to bottom and 1/8" thick. The blade hole measures 5/16" at the wides point and is 1 1/16" long. The holes to the side has different shapes. This Tsuba has a wonderful old patina with a little surface rust and some finish loss. I do not see any signature markings. I am offering this old Tsuba as found with NO RESERVE.
