Very unusual and rare Sterling Child Bangle Bracelet. I believe it to be an Art Deco era piece. It is a very thin embossed bangle bracelet that closes at the front. It has a 3/8 by 5/8 inch enamel area that features a black cat playing a base. Surrounded by musical notes. The bracelet width is about an 1/8 inch. The bracelet measures 2 inches side to side. I have a 6 3/4 inch wrist and I can fit the bracelet and close it, but I have no extra room, it fits tight. Offered for auction is a great vintage piece of Chicago history. This fabulous tile façade brick was made by the Northwestern Terra Cotta Co in the 1920’s. This company provided terra cotta bricks and tiles for many of the famous architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Sullivan. Many of the landmark buildings in Chicago have decorative elements provided by this company. The brick is classic Art Deco with a fabulous incised design. It is glazed a red terra cotta color with flecks of black and gray. The tile is in very good condition. It has minor scrapes here and there with a larger chip on the underside bottom corner that would not be visible with installation. It measures 10 inches across by 5 inches wide and 2 ¼ inches thick. welcome to kollectibles On the auction block today we have a vintage pair of President Abraham Lincoln Bradley and Hubbard Cast Iron Bookends with quotes from The Gettysburg Address one bookend reads: THIS NATION UNDER GOD, SHALL HAVE A NEW BIRTH OF FREEDOM. the other bookend reads: GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE. BY THE PEOPLE. FOR THE PEOPLE, SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH. The"B&H" mark(The Bradley& Hubbard Manufacturing Company ~ Masters of Metalwork) is stamped on the back of both bookends. What a fantastic pair of bookends these are.the detailing is superb with the art deco pillars. These very heavy cast iron bookends have a bronze/brass tone to them. Both bookends have felt on the bottoms. Just to note the busts are mounted on the cast iron and will turn very slightly if moved by hand. This is normal for these type of ... morebookends. Under the felt is a screw that holds the busts on, these can be tightend if wanted however not really necessary. The photos were taken with a flash so the bookends show a little brighter than they really are, showing the dust and handling wear to each nose which is normal for these.
