All antique china have an ivory coloring along the pattern from the glazing process in that era. Each piece is stamped"Limoges Vignaud France" Sets like these very rarely come up for auction. Most are passed down as heirloom pieces. My great grandmother acquired this set while on a trip to France in the 1920's and had it shipped back to the US. Hence the service for 7+ instead of the usual service for 6 in case of breakage. This had been stored away from the elements in a smoke free, air condition/heated home in an enclosed china cabinet. I had this set appraised for $800 at an antique dealer 3 years ago. Elite Works Antique Porcelain Limoges France Chocolate/Coffee Pot
Lovely antique Elite Works(Bawo& Dotter) porcelain chocolate/coffee pot marked Limoges. France, and produced between 1900-1912 according to research. The pot measures 9 in. high and is approximately 9 in. from spout to handle. The dainty pink roses surround the top of the pot and the lid. The bottom of the pot is surrounded by lovely green vines. The pot is in very good condition with a slight hairline crack on the lid that appears to have originated from a small chip on the bottom of the lid and runs from there across one side of the top of the lid. The gold is in very excellent condition with only a little wear shown on the spout. The hinged lid has a metal mount and it has a metal flower clasp on the front. Approx. 1.25" high x 2" diameter. Sweet Antique Pouyat Limoges Demitasse Cup & Saucer
This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France by Pouyat Limoges around 1900. It was made especially for Wanamaker’s Department Store. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is made of fine translucent porcelain. It has a factory transfer decoration of vines of tiny green leaves and berries that encircle the rims of each piece and inside the rim of the cup. Estate Sale Find Up for auction is a pretty demitasse set from Haviland Limoges. It is hand painted on white porcelain with a garland design of pink and blue flowers and pale green leaves. The design is around the rim of the saucer and the inside and outside rim of the cup. Both pieces are trimmed with gold gilt paint as is the handle and foot of the cup. There are no damages to wither piece. The saucer measures 5” across and the cup measures 2.1” tall and 2.25” across. There are 3 back stamps on the bottom of each piece: E in a diamond Toronto Winnipeg 8140– importer mark Two Limoges back stamps about which I found this information from The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Limoge Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston: Gerard. This wonderful antique domed butter dish was made about 1903 by Theodore Haviland. Limoges, France. The set includes a scalloped domed lid and a double handled scalloped plate. The pattern is of lavender roses with green leaves and trailing vines. There is gold trim on both the plate and dome handles. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or crazing. There is some loss of gold on the handles, but it is a lovely piece to grace your table. The plate measures 7 3/4" handle tip to tip. The butter dish is about 4" tall to the top of the dome handle. Theodore Haviland Limoges France- Rose Swags with Double Gold Trim Bone Dish This bone dish has two backstamps that indicate authenticity of production and decoration. The first backstamp. The decorating stamp,reads“Theodore Haviland Limoges FRANCE patent applied for” in red overglaze. Theodore is underlined indicating that it was produced around 1903. The second mark, the manufacturing mark, appears to be a stamp on the dish before firing. This mark if you look closely is a T and an H with a medallion in between. From research, I found this stamp to be used after 1894. The manufacture stamp is difficult to see. But if you look close enough you can see where the indent was made, above the decorating stamp. The pattern number for this dish is Schleiger 875 from a blank 305. The dish measures about 6 inches by 3 and has a double gold trim with ... morelight pink flower swags and green leaves. The only imperfection that I found was that it looks as though one of the flowers is slightly worn near the middle of the bottom swag. Which can be seen in the first photo. This imperfection might possibly be due to pattern transfer when produced. I found no visible scratches and the gold trim is fully intact. Feel free to message me with any questions. Gorgeous D&Co. Remy Delinieres) Limoges four-footed wide-mouth porcelain antique vase in excellent condition! This vase measures 6-1/4" high at the highest scalloped point at the top and 6-1/4" wide across the top. White porcelain with three sides of hand-painted pink and peach flowers. The fourth side has hand-painted butterflies. Pale peach coloured base and feet and pale peach scalloped edge across the top. This vase holds 24oz(750ml) of water and is perfect on the inside. I am getting into some more of my Great Aunt's pieces to sell for her care. This is one beautiful piece. This is a T& V Limoges France hard past po rcelain va se hand painted with artist s ignature. It is signed B. S tepaner and ha s a love ly rose and stem design on it. The vase has no chips. Repair or damage and is marked with the green stamp on the underside with an incised 010 25, I am not certain the age but to say my aunt got it from her mother many years ago. I would estimate 1930's or so. The roses are pink and the leaves are very nice. The very upper rim of the vase shows some wear at the very where it was painted in gold paint. This Haviland teapot is 9 1/2" tall and has an unusual braided rope style handle. No chips. No damage, although it does have some light wear to the gilt on the rim, the tip of the spout and a slight rub on the rim. This is a beautiful example of early Haviland elegance with the raised embossed designs. I believe this mark was used between 1883 and 1885. This Haviland creamer and sugar have unusual braided rope style handles and raised designs. I believe this mark was used between 1883 and 1885. A circle of glaze is missing around the mark on the sugar. As can be seen fluorescing under a blacklight in the last photo. It could be from the making, I am not sure. This is an elegant antique Victorian T&V Limoges porcelain plate hand painted in the mixtion style, featuring gorgeous flowers(I always though they look like wild roses) on a forest green background. The detail of the flowers are enhanced by hand painted raised enameling. This was added for added artistic dimension by one of the very few factory approved artists who also added a gorgeous scrollwork design with shades of green surrounded by gold. The original mold has raised detail near the edge and a scalloped edge. These areas are elegantly and heavily gilded. Gild is 99% intact. It appears to be all handpainted with a bolbous or ribbed body with molded relief designs and gold accents. The creamer is damage free no cracks. Hairlines, holes, breaks, nics, chips, fleabites or repairs. Other than some light paint ware it's in wonderful condition with what appears to be a number"20" gold stamped or painted on the bottom. We beli ev e this is a cake plate. Or some kind of serving dish. But it's possible it is a dinner plate. We will leav e it up to the collector to decide what it is. This plate is in a square shape with rounded/scalloped corners and has handles molded in relief in a scroll design with flowers also mo lded in relief. The background is white. There is a gold crosshatch with tiny flowers design sten ciled on the handles. Two yellow butterflies flit around the plate that also has two sprays of wi ldflowers. In"Haviland China- The Age of Elegance" by Nora Travis. In a chapter entitled"Unusual and Collectible Haviland" on page 94. It says, in part. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks nor repairs. The paint job is still in great condition, and even the gold shows no wear to my eyes. The bowl is 5" wide and 4" high. This beautiful Haviland oyster plate does have a couple of tiny dings which are barely noticable and one that is a little larger.It measures 7-1/2" in diameter. ANTIQUE LIMOGES FRANCE PLATE A. LANTERNIER & CIE CO 1890-1914 MARK ART NOUVEAU
You are bidding on a beautiful Limoges porcelain decorative plate. Limoges porcelain was produced and decorated by many different factories located in France from the late 1700's until around 1930 or so. This particular plate was produced by the A. Lanternier& Cie factory. The markings on the back indicate that this plate was made between 1890-1914. The plate has a really beautiful and detailed graceful floral design. So popular during the Art Nouveau period. The plate bears a circle of pink flowers, the edges of the petals trimmed in gold. The leaves and stems repeat this circular design which flows beautifully around the plate. The leaves and stems are all trimmed in gold as well. Completing the design is the outer rim. Also trimmed in gold paint. The back of the plate bears the appropriate markings of A. Lanternier& Cie. Limoges, ... moreFrance. These markings were used on A. Lanternier& Cie. pieces from 1890-1914. The plate measures 6 1/8" in diameter and is in lovely vintage condition. The outer gold trim bears the normal and expected faint surface marks from age and wall/shelf display. When you run your finger around the rim you can feel a couple of very tiny rough spots. They are too small to photograph. But I wanted to mention it to be thorough. This beautiful Limoges porcelain plate by A. Lanternier& Cie. would be a fine addition to any collection of antique decorative plates. International Buyers– Please Note: Import duties. 10 Pairs Antique"Jean Pouyat" Limoges Porcelain Two-Handled Cups and Saucers. The cups and saucers have a rose garland pattern. The design includes heart-shaped rose garlands with leaves and scrolls. There are also blue flowers in the design. The interior of each cup is decorated with three separate rose clusters. The cups and saucers are trimmed with gilt. The pieces are marked. J. P. L. France" This mark is for Limoges, Jean Pouyat(1900- 1906) SIZE: Cups- 1 15/16 inches high x 4 3/4 inches wide from edge of handle to edge of handle. Saucers- 5 3/8 inches wide. CONDITION: One cup has a couple dark specks- one cup has a very tiny fla ke on the b ase. Inner rim. One saucer has a tiny rim nick, and a shallow indented line on its base(the line is as made) There are a few very tiny dark specks on a few pieces. And the pieces have ... moresome gilt wear.
