France and decorated by the factory Lazeyras, Rosenfield and Lehman c1920. The colors of the roses are rich and deep accented by some hand applied white enamel, giving the bowl a three dimensional feel. The gold appled to the rim is wide and heavy, finishing the lovely scalloped rim of this piece. This bowl represents a good example of how the translucency of the china paint used by the decorating artists created depth and highlights unique to the Limoges name. Marks: The underside bears one mark of Limoges/France with the star in the center. The artist, Gertrude L. Howes was obviously very skilled. Each piece is decorated with hand painted bluebirds sitting on a stone wall surrounded by daisies and embellished with gold. The set is on the small side and it would only be suitable for serving 1- 2 cups of tea. Here are the measurements. Teapot- 6 3/4" h x 6 1/4" w including the handle. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Therefore we have an abundance of antique hand painted porcelain by Americans on blanks marked from another country. They are a wonderful color combination of blue. Yellow and black with a high gloss luster glaze. Gold on the cups on top. They differ in height by 1/8" The tallest is 6 5/8" tall. The smaller is 6 1/2" tall. They are 3" square at the base. No chips or cracks. There is wear to the gold on the candle cups as you can see in photos. This is a rare antique cachepot. Marked W. Guerin Limoges France. Dating ca. 1900-1932. The piece is entirely and skillfully hand painted with two different bouquets of crisantemums and green foliage on a pastel background. The border. The handles and the feet are heavily decorated with gold. The piece is 6 3/4" high. 5 1/2" wide with handles, by 2 3/4" The small size of the cachepot makes it perfect for letters and cards on a desk. It also looks great with flowers. The condition of the piece is close to perfection with no damage. The only fault I can see is some wear to the gold of the feet. The rest of the gold looks great and the paint work is amazing. Featuring an Antique Victorian(c.1890) French Limoges Enamel on Copper Miniature Vase. Measuring 2 1/4" high X 1" across the top and 7/8" across the bottom. Beautifully hand painted with the figure of a gentleman seated with a cane in his hand. His clothing is partly decorated in foil enamel. There is good size chip to the enamel work near the two painted trees(as pictured) It appears not to be dented. Only missing enamel- showing the copper underneath. These are a set of 3 berry bowls or dessert dishes from the early 1900's. On the bottom of the dishes is printed in red"Theodore Haviland Limoges FRANCE and Theodore is underlined. The pattern is delicately painted with pink asters or daisy-like flowers and soft green leaves on a white background. The white background has a raised textured scallop. These bowls are 5" across and 1" high. They are in very good condition with no chips. Cracks, or crazing.

Antique Chas. Field Haviland Limoges GDA Chocolate Pot c. 1900
This is a beautiful Limoges chocolate pot with four matching cups made by Charles Field Haviland and GDA c. 1900. Charles Field Haviland formed his company in 1870 and later took conrol of the Alluaud factory in 1876. In 1881 the firm became GDM and later became GDA(Gerard. Dufraisseix& Abbot) This chocolate pot is in excellent. Near mint condition. It is 8 1/2" to the top of the finial, and there is a rose and floral pattern around the pot and on the lid. The gold work on the trim and on the handle is very heavy and is all in beautiful condition. The only wear I see is on the very top of the finial. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The chocolate pot is marked GDA France and Chas. Field Haviland with a W underneath. Pictures 5 and 6 show the insides of the lid and pot. The four chocolate cups have the same design and beautiful ... moregold work. And they have the same hallmarks on the bottom. They are not perfect because two cups have chips to the goldwork(picture 9, left and right cup) and one cup as a hair line crack(picture 9, center cup) This cup also has some wear to the gold on the top rim. Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges Schleiger #330 Coffee Cup & Saucer
This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges around 1900. The Schleiger pattern number is 330. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches. The cup measures 4 inches in diameter and is 2 1/4 inches high. This cup is really jumbo size for a morning cup of coffee. The set is decorated with a factory transfer design. There are swags of flowers. Medallions with roses in them, and tiny bows surrounding the interior and exterior of the cup and around the border of the saucer. The rims and handle are trimmed with brushed on gold. CONDITION: There are two factory flaws. One on the rim of the cup and the other on the foot ring on the bottom of the saucer. They are very small chips that were gilded over at the factory. See the third photo and the last photo. This is a gorgeous plate that will not disappoint you. It is in excellent condition, The plate is 8 1/2" diameter. And it is marked A K(Klingenberg) FRANCE( a Limoges factory) dating ca. 1890-1910. While the Pickard decorating mark and the signature of Joseph Beitler(J C Beitler) dates the decoration ca. 1903- 1907, the years that Beitler worked for Pickard. Before opening his own studio in Chicago. The plate is decorated with red cherries and green foliage and a most unusual gold spider web. The scalloped and embossed edge is gilded. RARE HAVILAND LIMOGES PLATTER WITH INTRICATE RAISED FLORAL HEAVY GILT. The border is a dark cobalt color with scalloped gilt edge. The handles have wonderful detail. In excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. Does not appear to have been used as there are no utensil marks or stains. The central white area is pristine. Gilt is almost completely intact. This platter measures 16 7/8" long x 10" wide and stands approximately 1 7/8" tall. This platter is heavy weighing close to 4 pounds.
