Table and leaves are 3/4" thick. Table apron 1 1/2" thick and table legs 2" thick. All pieces are in very good shape, but show normal wear. The table surfaces are a bit dry and would improve tremendously with a good application of teak oil. The chair seats are in nice shape. I assume they have been recovered at some time. Table is 28" high and 47" in diameter. 87" long end to end with both leaves installed. Chairs are 30 1/2" high at back with 17 1/2" at the seat. Seat is 19 3/4" wide and 18 1/2" deep. Table leaves are beautifully bookmatched and the chairs and table section are joined with contrasting(rosewood? inserts. Table and table leaves have quality solid brass receiving holes and pegs to give a solid and quality surface. Latches underneath add to the quality and give a very solid table when fully extended. This is a fine piece of Danish modern furniture from Dyrlund. The round shape works very well with smaller spaces. Yet the leaves enable you to have seating for eight when you need it. Danish furniture control mark and A/S Gudme stamp. The table is in very good condition but the leaves are darker than the rest of the table. The finish is very nice with no stains but some light wear marks. Light scratches that were too hard to photograph because of the high gloss top, reflections. There are no repairs or cracks to the wood anywhere. Just minor scuffs to the legs. When are you going to find such an incredible rosewood& teak table and have this rare opportunity to own such an incredible piece of Danish modern design. The table measures roughly 42"W x 60"L x 29"H closed and the length with the two. 19" leaves makes the table appx 98" L. This coffee table was one of those furnishings. It was the centerpiece of the living room. Surrounded by a sectional sofa and easy chair, and over-looking the kidney-shaped pool in the backyard. The coffee table was purchased at J.H. Biggars. A then-exclusive furniture store in Pasadena, California(Biggars is still in business, located at 860 E. Colorado Blvd. Pasadena, CA) The coffee table has been in the family ever since. I have stored this table for a number of years. I'd hoped that it would someday be a focal point in my Malibu beach house. But the beach house never materialized(ha! so alas, we are finally dispersing possessions that we have no room for. Here is a description of the table: The travertine marble top sits atop a wood. Triangle-shaped base. I’m not sure what kind of wood this is. It is finished a pale blond color. The base is very sturdy. The white travertine marble top is a triangle shape with rounded corners. It is more than an inch thick and very heavy. The marble has grooves and holes in it. Which is a natural part of the stone. The surface of the table is flat and shiny. As you can see in the photos. There are a few water spots and one water ring on the marble top. These are superficial and they can possibly be buffed or polished out. There is some wear on the base and brass feet. As you can see from the photos. There are no maker marks on the table base or top. Other than the number"500" stamped on both, which identified the pieces as a set. The marble top measures 60-inches long by 41.5-inches wide. This is a low. Coffee table. This table is available for local pick-up ONLY in Glendora.
