One of the really great things about this box is the GRAPHIC PRINT actually dates the product and the box. WHISKEY was made in 1917. And BOTTLED in 1930. POWELL. KY. TONGUE-IN-GROVE Box with some old rusty nails. Too. Age darkened around nails. Box is Strong. Secure, clean, with no foul odor and only a few mild, faint stains. Does have some missing slice/crack on bottom, see pix. Mostly Just typical age darkening of wood and oxidation around nails. I took lots of pictures that better display the condition. One side reads: Lenox Soap Lathers Freely In Hard Water. One end has the paper label that shows some wear. Neat one reads: Just Fits The Hand and shows a hand holding a bar of Lenox soap. One end has a circular Procter& Gamble Trade Mark logo with a moon shaped man's head and stars. Every side is neat! Has a metal bracket on one corner where paper logo is. John Haig Dimple Scots wooden crate/box– with history– shipped to Rangoon! This is not the normal Haig wooden crate you find for sale in the States. This one has a history going back to the late 1950’s/early 1960’s. My wife’s godmother was stationed in Rangoon. Burma(Yangon, Myanmar) and had a case of Dimple sent to them in care of the H.B.M(Her Britanic Majesty) British Ambassador in Rangoon– see the shipping markings on the side of the crate. Outside of the States, it’s just called Dimple Scots. The crate is in very good condition. Especially since its 60+ years old. It's large enough to hold 12 Pinched Decanters. Cool vintage antique Pepsi-Cola 5 cent wooden soda bottle carrier crate. This was an estate find so I know very little about it other than the fact I think it's in fantastic condition with just small minimal wear from normal aging and use. I measured the crate at about 17 3/4" in length. 11 3/4" in width and about 11 3/4" in height. Not sure of it's age. On the inside bottom it's marked: GIDEON- ANDERSON CORP GIDEON MISSOURI?Not 100% sure of the word CORP as it is hard to make out) I took photos of all angles of the crate so please look them all over carefully. Dove tail slats with Side Handles Vintage 24 bottle Coca Cola wooden bottle crate box made in Dallas Texas. The wood is the older yellow painted crate with Red lettering. Interior states it was manufactured by Temple Mfg. Dallas Tex This is a pre 1970’s item. But I do not know the exact date– possibly a date to the right of“ Tex. but I cannot read it. I do know that the yellow crates with red letter were made before 1970. Numbers below Dallas look like a 9 and then an 8. I do not know what these numbers refer to– not the year date. Though. Construction in the interior has dove tailed slats with reinforced metal on the corners. Exterior advertising ... morein red Drink Coca Cola In Bottles Trade Mark with a registered sign- On the shorter sides– Have a Coke Manufacturing information in printed in red on the interior of the longest side: You have to read between the wooden sections– Coca Cola in Bottles– with the last wooden section showing a Red circle with 6 sections and the Temple Mfg? Dallas. Texas/ 9 8. Size: 18 3/4ths by 12 inches– approx 4 inches high. Each section measures approx 2 3/8ths by 2 5/8ths. Condition: It has been stored for years and not cleaned so it shows some dust and some light soiling. But also wear to the original paint. Still complete with great sides handles and still sturdy. One interior slat shows a slight side chip to the wood and the bottom slats show wear also– please see photos. I have taken many for your review. 1960 Coca-Cola Yellow wooden case crate excellent condition
Excellent condition wooden Coca-Cola crate made by Duraglas and dated 3-60. This is an open cell crate which held 6 or 8 packs of the small 6 and 1/2 ounce bottles. Great color and vibrant graphics with solid construction and sturdy- only a light occasional rust spot on the metal bands.
