The 8 day time and strike movement is stamped with“Japy Freres ... moreMade in France” and strikes a coiled gong on the hour and half hour. Both mainsprings are holding and not broken. This clock features a heavy brass and beveled glass case which are in good condition with no noticeable damage except for a small dent on the center top of the clock. The porcelain dial is unmarked and is in good condition with one minor hairline crack. The clock's escapement functions properly when manually exercised. However, it will not run for more than a few seconds. The escapement works for a considerable time without the pendulum, so I think this is probably a beat adjustment, but this is only a guess. The chime side functions properly when manually turning the hands. This clock comes with a simulated mercury double vial pendulum and an antique key. The pendulum alone sells for about $70. The clock’s dimensions are 10” tall by 6” wide by 4.75" deep. This clock movement was purchased in a clock collector’s estate sale. Please check out all the photos for condition of this clock. Up for sale is a French Bakers wall clock. On the tin face of clock is printed with Teyssier and also Rive de Gier. The clock case is mother of pearl inlayed with large black wooden border. Clock is in good vintage condition.is running but I'm sure it will need a cleaning. I believe the clock is a 8 day and chimes on the half hour and hour. I have the pedulum and key. Pair antique French Emile Bruchon spelter statue figure figurine clock pieces
You are bidding on a pair of French spelter statues. Mounted on beautiful wooden bases, with some sort of marble looking finish, most likely from late 1800's. The clock and topper is not included in the auction. It is hard to find a matching pair. Generally single pieces are easy to find, a ppx 17-1/2 inches tall from base to top. Very impressive and detailed castings. You cannot beat the beauty of french castings. The wooden bases have name plates"Denicheuse Par Bruchon" and"Passage Du Gue Par Bruchon" each of the statue is also signed by French sculptor, Emile Bruchon(1880-1910) Both the statues are in good condition. With some light green finish, which possibly is original, I dont see any major damage or issues, having said that I am not claiming that they are damage free, there might be issues beneath the finish, ... moreso please review pictures or ask for more. I am not expert on statues. However the girl's fingers looks like repaired, as one of the fingers is thinner then the other, and roughness on the others. Again, you be the judge, I am not claiming them to be damage free, there is a 1/2 inch stress crack on the girls shoulder, hard to capture, and there might be more, but I have'nt seen them. The finish for the most part is quite good on statues but there are areas with loss of finish, and dust, it seems that some one tried to do touch up on some spots. I was told by a fellow Ebayer that there might have been a bird in the girl's hand. Every thing described to the best of my knowledge. The movement has a nice metallic dial in a good condition and beautiful gilded bronze bezel. Up for auction is this gorgeous French mantle clock. Manufactured in France as I believe around 1850. The clock came from old clock master estate and looks to be in very good condition. I am not the clock master, so can't be much of the help, but I will try to answer your questions. I don't see any break to the porcelain case. The clock made from porcelain and has the porcelain figurine of the young boy on the top of it. I think that the figurine belongs to this clock and it will go with it. The clock with the figurine is approximately 13" high(7 1/4" without figurine) The movement has silk thread suspension and looks very clean and works perfectly- it runs and strikes on the hours and half hours. But I did not test it for a very long time. On the back plate of the movement there is the stamp of the clock master, but I could ... morenot read it. The porcelain dial is in perfect condition. For sale is a nice reproduction of an antique or vintage ship clock nautical style clock. Which is based on one advertising a Paris restaurant from the 1890's. This clock is new old stock, assembled in USA several years ago and in storage since. The clock measures 10 1/2" diameter at the front side and 11 1/2" diameter at the back. The clock is made of brass finished metal sheet. The lens on the hinged bezel is glass, not plastic. Steel Hands. The movement is a quartz AA battery type, made in USA. Battery is included. She died at the age of 90 and told me this set came from her French father. Who received it from his father. I think she told me it is 18th century, but I don't remember for sure. It consists of a large french mantle clock and 2 side pieces. The clock was on her mantle. It has suffered some damage. The clock does not work(at least I can't get it to. But I'm no expert) The front crystal(glass? has a crack or chip on face towards top. Each side piece has damage. One has the top of the handle missing. Here is Brevete French brass clock with white metal mounts. The clock is about 14” tall. 22 ¾” long with the chain included, 9” wide, and 2 5/8” deep. The clock has a wonderfully decorated face with white metal cut and painted roman numerals. The brass pendulum has a girls head in a bonnet decoration. The white metal mount atop the clock features a bird guarding a nest with 3 eggs in it atop leaf decoration. The 2 white metal mounts on the sides feature lion heads and the mount on the bottom is a leaf decoration. They are all painted gold in color. There is a paper instruction label on the back which has is signed“Brevete SGDG” I did not take the wood backing off to see the works of the clock. The clock does include the key and I did wind it. It kept ticking for about 7 days but it did lose time. It was a bit slow. The clock has to be ... morehung very straight for it to keep ticking. There is tarnish on the sides of the clock. The brass discoloration can be seen in the photos. I took some photos of the worst area which is at 6-9 o’clock. The minute and hour hand are reversed so the small hand is the hour hand and the large hand is the minute hand. I do not know if they just need to switch positions or the clock was made like this. For sale is a beautiful French Mantel Clock by Samuel Marti- Medaille de Bronze that refers to the period 1867- 1889 The movement and original pendulum are both incised with matching low production serial number 152c The clock is in perfect working condition and all the parts are original from that time. The clock weight approximately 22 pounds and it measures 16" in height. 4 3/4" in width and 8 3/4" lenght. I don't know. But I think it might need some minor adjustment on the movement, when winding with the key it works perfect, it has been inside a box wrapped for over 5 years, but I'm not a clock expert, it might not need any adjustment, but if it does I don't think is nothing major as the clock functions fine when wind with the key. French Gilt Mantle Clock With Girl Holding Basket REPAIR/PARTS
First the damage or missing parts: One hand is missing(photo) There is no key to the clock.There is a piece missing next to the girls feet(about 1 1/2" x 1"Photo) By her right foot you will see a fan looking decoration-it is missing to the right side of the base where it should be(photo) The back of both legs each have minor nicks in them but not the sides of the leg's(photo) In one photo you will see what appears to be a branch with leaves to the right of the dial.I put it in place for the purpose of the photo. It appears in one photo unattached. It just needs to be attached and it would look good.The glass and frame are missing that cover the dial. There is a chip(s) next to the numeral III on the dial where it has been worn over the years due to winding(photo) I do not see anything else that is a problem. Clock is 12 1/2" ... moretall. 11" wide and about 5" deep. There is no damage to the girl or anything else. The cover for the back as well as the piece for the hammer to strike are present. I removed the works from the clock and found that they do work very well if the pendulum is not in place. With the pendulum attached the clock will work for about 15 to 20 seconds. Without the pendulum they work just fine. If this piece was cleaned and balanced as needed I see no reason why it would not keep good time. The striker does work. I see no indication of any damage internally to the works. On the inside of the dial frame stamped in the metal is' 890* on the back plate appears'A*M and 890 5*5(photo)the pieces match. ANTIQUE 1800'S FRENCH BLACK FOREST WALL CLOCK PARIS NO RESERVE MUST SEE!!
Here is a very nice item for your bidding pleasure. It is an antique 1800's wall clock. The case looks black forest and apparently the works were made in France. It was found in a box in a trunk. Everything looks to be there. There is a pendulum and key. Also I found a part inside of the clock which has fell off. It is in need of some repair. When I wind the left side of the clock. There appears to not be a stop and on the right side of the clock, it just keeps winding. On the face, it has porcelain numbers. On the 12 it says ED Schirrmann and on the 6 it says Paris R. Royale 7. The carving is very impressive. There is a few age cracks, but not bad at all. It measures 27" tall and is 19" wide. Shipping on this item is 22.50 anywhere in the lower 48 states. You are looking at an Antique French Marble Clock Rare Unique Medaille D’or 1900. On the back of the movement. It says T- Murtir Smarti Medaille. This clock has been in storage for a while. I unpacked it. Put it on a shelf, and wound it, and it has been running for over a month, and still keeps good time, quite a feat for its age. This clock is quite large. 15.75 inches in height, almost 11 inches wide, 5.25 inches deep, all approximate. The back door is also marble. And opens with a lock. This clock has a mercury pendulum. With an open movement. The letters around the dial are porcelain. The right corner has a chip. But it’s not noticeable. The dial is around 4.75 inches in diameter. The door is brass with beveled glass. The clock comes with key and strikes on the half-hour and on the hour. Onto a bell, very mellow and pleasant to listen ... moreto. The clock is heavy. A large logo with a lion and two letters, LB” and another that has“L. Marti et Cie” in the middle of the circle and“Medaille De Bronze” around the edge. The two numbers on top are“5 7” On the bottom, 729 1567” This is a very large clock. Almost 20 inches wide, 13.75 inches in height, 7 inches deep, and 57 pounds. All approximate. This is a two-toned marble case. Black and a combination of maroon and white, with a column on each side framing the dial. It has an open movement. A ceramic dial ring for the numbers, with brass housing and brass center of the dial. This clock is well-preserved for its age. This is a beautiful vintage French made alarm clock. This clock works. Keeps good time, the alarm functions properly and is in overall excellent condition. There are no scratches on the face cover. It stands via tri-pod legs about 6" with the face 2 3/4" in diameter. It has good weight and appears to be made of brass. The face says"Endura" and Made in France on it. It runs via wind up- no battery required. Age is unknown. A really outstanding piece.

The case has been restored(not sure when) Shows copper colored Horse and Riders figures on top, swords in hand, great castings, marble base, gold( gilding.ormolu? under the riders, metal and copper under that, painted gold metal on sides. Runs and keeps good time, Japy Freres movement that is correct, not a count wheel. Porcelain dial no damage. This is a rare French Provincial Style clock.So it's very formal and could go in almost any room. This gorgeous piece can be a tall mantle clock or go on any table or nightstand or chest of drawers. Very versatile decorating piece that designers love to find. The clock is working fine. This lovely estate sale find is in perfect vintage condition. The face of the clock is gold and very ornate with Roman Numerals and thats where it's marked Louis XV. There are no other maker's marks that can be seen.
