This is a Blanc de Chine figure of Mezzetino, with his monkey as baby. This particular figure has wonderful crisp detail from both faces, of actor and monkey along with buttons, buckles, wrappings and incised decorations. His slapper at his side had been broken cleanly before I bought him. It can be restored by a good restorer if wanted. I bought him because he was a great representation of the original model. Nymphenburg Porcelain Soup Tureen in the Rococo Style in the Cumberland Pattern Here we have an outstanding. Nymphenburg porcelain soup tureen in the Rococo Style in the Cumberland shape. This is first designed circa 1750 by Franz Anton Bustelli and Joseph Zachenberger. The Rococo form features the asymmetrical shape and curves typical of the period. Decorated with elaborate naturalistic designs, the Rococo service exemplifies the great elegance and style of 18th Century Europe. As the first“Electoral Court Service, the floral decoration used in the dinnerware was a suitable replacement for fresh flowers, which had a tendency to wilt, and were frowned upon at court. Replaced by the end of the 18th Century with another service, the Cumberland dinnerware experienced a revival in 1913 when used at the wedding for the son of the Duke of Cumberland. ... moreThe work was first commissioned for the great Grand father. Who was Prince William(William Augustus) 26 April 1721— 31 October 1765) was a younger son of George II of Great Britain and Caroline of Ansbach, and Duke of Cumberland from 1726. He is generally best remembered for his role in putting down the Jacobite Rising at the Battle of Culloden in 1746, and as such is also known as"Butcher" Cumberland. After Culloden, he went on to enjoy a successful military career, but following the Convention of Klosterzeven in 1757, he never held active military command, and switched his attentions to politics and horse-racing. A new one of this(still in production) retails for approximately $42.000.00 and is in perfect condition. The $42,000.00 figure is based upon the same form and size, with only slightly different hand painted decoration. The Tureen measures approximately 9 1/4” height. 9 3/4” width and 14 1/2” length. Rare Nymphenburg Porcelain White Owl Souvenir
Beautiful& Rare Nymphenburg Souvenir Figurine from Bavaria. Inscription on book says"In aquis Kissingen Salus" Which means, The waters of Kissingen are healing" In Germany. There is a place called, Bad Kissingen" It is well famous for the healing spas and the healing waters there. This piece was a souvenier of the healing spa baths of Bad Kissingen. It has the Nymphenburg green crest& crown. A letter"T" impression is under the shield. On the front is the impressed crown. This item is in great condition. There are no cracks. Chips, repairs. When I went over it with a magnifying glass. I did see what looks like some tiny micro brown"dots" on the ears. see last pic) I am not sure what they are from, as I am not an expert on porcelain. I tried to rub them off unsuccessfully. They may just need another ... moretype of cleaning. They were only on the ears. Glaze is not missing anywhere on this piece. Oval dish is in pattern#1012(Rococo shape, bouquet with gold tooth edge) It measures 10 1/2 inches from handle to handle, 7 inches from rim to rim and 2 inches tall to the handle and 1 3/4 inches to the rim. It is decorated beautifully with hand painted flowers. I have seven Pearl blue soup/pasta Plates from the Nymphenburger manufacturer in Germany. They are priced separately. Probably the most well known models from Nymphenburg manufacture. Created on1763. It was the first china in Europe to have the dodecagonal shape with edges raised and decorated with beads. These six dishes are In near perfect condition with mono cracks, chips or crazing. They do, however, have tiny black dots or small gray marks that look like a small smudge. I also have listing for five of these salad/pasta bowls where each plate has a chip on the underside of the plate. The soup pasta bowls measure 8 1/4" in diameter and 1 3/4" high. A gorgeous figurine of a leopard made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. It was first designed by Kaerner around 1911 and is a superbly modeled and painted animal figurine! The leopard is 4.375 inches tall and 9.25 inches long and 6.5 inches deep from tail tip to back. It has beautiful green eyes and stunning detail in the spots and other painted areas. Rare Large Nymphenburg Hairdresser Scene Porcelain Figurine Porzellan Figur
For sale is a large figure of a scene of what I imagine to be a the goings on in a nobility household during the 18th century. It was made by Nymphenburg around 1900. The figurine is of the lady of the house getting her tall hairdo done by a hairdresser standing on a ladder while a servant is standing next to her by her table. Tons of small detail to this superb figurine with a little dog standing next to her. Lots of small items on the table and lots of other things all around. The figure is 8.25 inches tall and the base is 6.625 inches wide and 5.875 inches deep. The piece is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark and the number 38. incised. Rare Nymphenburg Porcelain Dog Biting Lady 's Butt Figurine Porzellan Figur Nice
For sale is a figure of a lady being attacked by a dog made by Nymphenburg around 1900 or when Baeuml first took over as director and copied the old models. This is the rarer larger version! The lady is painted quite nicely with a very intricate design including lots of bows and the hat has a rose on it that make her look very elegant. The dog has brown spots and is in the process of biting her in the butt: She has the impressed shield mark on the front of the base outlined with gilding as well as the incised number 9 1/2 II underneath. The figurine is in great condition with a bit of damage to the bows which is to be expected. She is 8.75 inches tall. 5.5 inches wide and 4.625 inches deep. I have four Pearl blue soup/pasta Plates from the Nymphenburger manufacturer in Germany. They are priced separately. Probably the most well known models from Nymphenburg manufacture. Created on1763. It was the first china in Europe to have the dodecagonal shape with edges raised and decorated with beads. These four dishes have unnoticeable black dots but no cracks, or crazing. They do, however, each have a single chip on the underside of the bowl, and one has two small chips. Blanc de Chine Nymphenburg Commedia dell'Arte Mezzetino Figurine Bustelli 1890s
For your consideration. A gorgeous blanc de chine porcelain figurine designed by Rococo master Franz Anton Bustelli for Nymphenburg, circa late 1800s to 1910 Germany. The figurine is Mezzetino, one of the 16 Commedia dell'Arte figurines originally designed by Bustelli for Nymphenburg in 1760. Nymphenburg figurines are some of the finest in the world and are still in production today(even a Mezzetino designed by Vivienne Westwood) The marks on this figurine date it prior to trade laws in the 1920s that required the country name be placed on any imported items to the US. The base of the figurine has the model number and Nymphenburg shield mark. The shield mark is also seen on the side of the figurine, see pictures 4 and 5. The figurine is in decent vintage condition with the only breakage being the end of Mezzetino's club, as seen in ... morepicture 3, which is common for this figurine especially given its age. There are also a few very tiny dark spots on the porcelain's surface. Measures 6.5 inches in height. Overall condition is reflected in the price. Aus dem Nachlass meiner Großmutter: Da unser Familien-Stammsitz mit allen enthaltenen Nachlässen meiner Vorfahren nunmehr nach 76 Jahren Familienbesitz aufgegeben wird. Wird alles wertvolle angeboten. Diese Porzellanfigur stellt einen schlanken. Länglichen, braunen Hund dar, vermutlich eine Art Dackel. Leider hat die Figur eine kleine Macke(eine Abplatzung am linken Ohr) Die Figur trägt auf der Unterseite einen blauen Stempel. Der leider so verschwommen ist, dass ich ihn nicht klar erkennen kann. Er könnte als Stempel der Manufaktur Nymphenburg interpretiert werden. Aber garantieren kann ich das nicht, da er zu undeutlich ist. Vielleicht erkennt ja jemand anderes das Zeichen. This is a rare and gorgeous large Blanc de Chine porcelain figural that bears both a Nymphenburg factory marking and another than looks like a Frankenthal mark. Could of perhaps be created at two factories. Very fine and large gorgeous piece displaying a young couple in the garden with a little goat at their feet. Measures 12 inches high by 9 1/2 inches wide and is in overall excellent/very good condition with a few small broken pieces. The goat has one broken leg and there is a piece of the basket missing on the bench in addition to a decorative finial on the outer edge. Few tiny nicks to the florals. Overall very minor on display. I have six Pearl blue soup/pasta Plates from the Nymphenburger manufacturer in Germany. They are priced separately. Probably the most well known models from Nymphenburg manufacture. Created in 1763. It was the first china in Europe to have the dodecagonal shape with edges raised and decorated with beads. These six dishes are In near perfect condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. They do, however, have tiny black dots or small gray marks that look like a small smudge. I also have listing for five of these salad/pasta bowls where each plate has a chip on the underside of the plate. The soup pasta bowls measure 8 1/4" in diameter and 1 3/4" high. For sale is a rare figurine of a whoopee bird( Wiedehopf in German) made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. Not a model you really ever come across except in books and not one produced today anymore. The bird is really well modeled sitting on a stup with some flowers on it. Amazingly his beak is still intact which is often not the case. He is rextremely well painted- quite the stunning piece! The piece is 13.25 inches tall. 6 inches deep and 4.5 inches wide so rather large. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base as well as the impressed model number 166/ a. Es handelt sich um eine wunderschöne farbige Figur eines liegenden Fuchses. Der mit wachen Augen dem entgegenschaut, was nun kommen mag. Insgesamt ist bei diesem Fuchs jedes Detail sehr fein. Eben in der Art von Nymphenburg, ausgearbeitet worden. Der Schwanz und die Vorderpfote sind, wie man auf den Bildern sieht. Schon einmal restauriert worden und und könnten evtl. noch einmal überarbeitet werden, was sich sicherlich lohnen würde. Ansonsten weist er keine Chips oder Makel auf. Die Figur ist ziemlich selten. Insbesondere da sie sich in einem guten Zustand befindet. Sie ist ca. 23.5 cm breit und ca. 8.5 cm hoch. I have three imperfect Pearl blue cake Plates from the Nymphenburger manufacturer in Germany Probably the most well known models from Nymphenburg manufacture. Created on1763. It was the first china in Europe to have the dodecagonal shape with edges raised and decorated with beads. This is a listing for three of these cake plates where each plate has at least one chip on the underside of the plate. The cake plates measure 7.5" on diameter. Check the pictures for pictures of the chips. One ate has one. One has two chips and one has four. I tried to include a picture of each one. Antique Nymphenburg Putti Cherub on Barrel w Wine Glass
7" tall Putti cherub. It has an impressed Nymphenburg shield on the underside as well as a green maker's stamp. It also has an impressed number 241a and a 3 underneath that. The top of the vessel held by his left arm and hand is rough and discolored on top from a small break. Otherwise in excellent condition with no other chips. Cracks, repairs or crazing. I guarantee the authenticity of this item and its being consistent with my description. If I am in error. I will provide a full refund along with two way shipping. For sale is a superb figurine of a cat taking a nap after Pierre Jules Mêne made by Nymphenburg around 1950. Very well modeled and painted one of the rarer versions around. The kitty is 1.5 inches tall. 5.625 inches long and 2.625 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the model number 689 with an 8 under it and the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg and Western Germany which dates it to right after WWII. Super Rare Neudeck 1757 Nymphenburg Porcelain Plate Oettner Porzellan Teller
For sale is a supremely rare treat- a platter made by Neudeck before it became Nymphenburg and before they even used their shield mark in 1757. It does not get older than that for them. That is one amazing part but the better one is that the flowers are probably the nicest I have ever seen by them- they were painted by the famous Andreas Oettner! Look at the detail of this piece- an amazing floral arrangement in the center including two roses and a really nice yellow and red carnation with lots of smaller flowers along the rim. The rim has a nice shape to it which is only made better by the puce trim to the edge. The platter is only marked with an incised 3 near the footring which is typical of this period. The last amazing thing about this piece is that it is pretty much in the same condition it was in when first made- perfect except for ... moresome small firing flaws and one small spot of wear to the small flower next to the large arrangemnt in the center. For sale is a very famous bust of a child(believed to be Friedrich August der Starke aka Frederick the Strong) originally made by Franz Anton Bustelli in 1760. This version was made in the late 19th century by Nymphenburg. It is marked with a blue mark that is hard to read but looks to be the blue shield with large crown mark used by them in the end of the 19th century. The bust is handpainted very nicely.
