E. INGRAHAM RARE 8 DAY ANTIQUE BLACK MANTLE CLOCK ALL ORIGINAL 1880s
Here we have a beautiful example of an E. Ingraham“Eclipse” black mantle clock in all original condition. This is a rather large clock with the original enamel black finish and stunning red and white marbleized accents. This is an early black mantle clock as the movement mounts to the back of the case. Some clockmakers refer to these older Ingrahams as“low strikers” because the gong and hammer are mounted low in the case. The whole movement, gong, hammer, and pendulum can be viewed through the open bottom of the case. This is an 8 day time and strike clock with a very mellow sounding gong for the hours and half hours. The dial pan and bezel are original along with the original WAVY glass and the ORIGINAL paper dial. The dial numerals are very crisp and easy to read. And the paper had aged to a nice golden patina. The hands are original and ... moreperfect, even the washers and pin that hold the hands in are original! The paper label on the back is still 95% intact with some old information on it. It says that this clock was made specially for the Metropolitan MFG. Co. in New York. The finish is original with some imperfections. There are spots on the corners and edges where the finish got chipped or rubbed away. These places look to have been touched up at some point to make them less noticeable. There are several white paint splatters on the right side of the case; probably where someone painted their house and didn’t cover the clock up or move it to another room. We have left these spots alone as part of the clock’s history but they could be easily removed. The movement was just cleaned. Oiled, pivots polished, and bushings added where needed. This clock will work like new for many years to come. In fact: if you have it inspected and cleaned every 10-15 years, the clock will easily work for another century or more! I doubt the clock has been worked on much because all of the screws are original and fit snug with no extra screw holes. Antique French Porcelain Mantle Clock
Up for auction is this gorgeous French mantle clock. Manufactured in France as I believe around 1850. The clock came from old clock master estate and looks to be in very good condition. I am not the clock master, so can't be much of the help, but I will try to answer your questions. I don't see any break to the porcelain case. The clock made from porcelain and has the porcelain figurine of the young boy on the top of it. I think that the figurine belongs to this clock and it will go with it. The clock with the figurine is approximately 13" high(7 1/4" without figurine) The movement has silk thread suspension and looks very clean and works perfectly- it runs and strikes on the hours and half hours. But I did not test it for a very long time. On the back plate of the movement there is the stamp of the clock master, but I could ... morenot read it. The porcelain dial is in perfect condition. I wrote that the shipping cost in 48 continental states is $70. Which includes insurance, tracking number and professional packing by UPS worker, which guaranty the secure shipping. I am listing a antique Waterbury Mantle clock. Which has 4 colums 2 lions head's ornate cast iron feet and decorative roses on the front. The clock has 3 functions bell ding for the half hour, gong on the hour and time set. The case is in very good condition no splits cracks or chips along with the glass bezel no cracks good hinge, the clock does not tick, when I turn the hands manually it gongs on the correct time and it does ding on the half hour, I do not have the key. The clock runs and seems to keep pretty good time. But I have only run it for a couple hours. This item was an estate sale purchase and all information is based on visual inspection. It's history is unknown. Items pictured are the actual items being auctioned and shipped. Returns only accepted if the item received is not the item being auctioned. PRODUCT CONDITION This clock does windup and run and seems to keep good time but has only been run a couple hours. Visually the clock is in good condition for it's age. The thin metal bands along the right and left side are lifted up off the wood but can easily be glued back down down. The wood has ... moresome minor scuffs and wear expected of a clock of this age. The back of the clock shows some wear to the metal with rust. There is 1 of the bolts missing on the back but the other 3 are there and have the back properly secured. The glass is in good. Japy Freres is one of the most well known clock makers of his time and their clocks are still one of the most collectible. This is a fantastic Marble Mantle Clock that has all the original parts and is working perfectly. The top of the clock. Feet and side pieces are either brass or bronze. We of course have not attempted and will attempt to clean or polish them. The beautiful porcelain face has gold gilt hands and a garland of beautiful hand-painted flowers that form a circle inside the numbers. The Eight day movement chimes on the half and full hour counting down the hour. The movement has the Japy Freres Hallmark and the numbers 4487 4 8. We believe the ... more4487 is the clock number and the 4 stands for the month of April and the 8 for the year 1888. This wonderful clock is 16" tall, 9" wide and 5" deep. This gorgeous clock is part of clock making history. Japy Freres was awarded many awards. The first of which was in 1819. This was a Gold Medal Awarded to him by Louis XVII. He also received awards from Louis XVIII, Charles X and Louis Philippe. Numerous other awards were received and this is evident when looking as the hallmark on the movement. On the bottom of the movement is Gde Med D' Honneur. We believe this dates this clock to sometime around 1888. This is an heirloom item that can be passed on for many more generations. Hello and welcome to our auction! We are offering this Great Antique E. Ingraham Mantle clock! Sorry we do not know a lot about clocks. But did our best to research and write title and write title as to guess what this clock might be. We were not the original owners of clock. Since we do not have a lot of knowledge about clocks. We never attempted to get the clock working. We are not sure what might need to be done with adjustments, parts etc. It has a beautiful look with intricate detailing. Such as uniquely etched brass side handles and legs, marble swirl design painted on wood pillars and etched design around clock face. The clock measures about 17" x 6" from the base lets and 11 14/ inches tall. The clock seems to be in good condition for how old it is. Antique Seth Thomas Shelf Mantle Clock for Repair or Parts 89c Movement
Up for auction is this early 1900's Seth Thomas shelf or mantle clock. The case is veneer over wood and has condition issues. It had been stored in a barn for who knows how many years. When I rescued it. I found that the case has some termite damage in the top and one side as shown in the pictures. The glass door is intact. The clock face is a bit loose and discolored with age. The clock movement works, but the mainspring needs to be replaced to make it run. The key is missing. The clock gongs on the hour and a bell sounds on the half hour. The movement is marked"ST" logo and"made in U.S. America" also 89c. Inside the back door are pencil marks, I think indicating when the clock was serviced: 10-22-42 R, and 4-1-55. Antique New Haven Mantle Clock 8 Day Needs repair see Description
Up for auction is this New Haven Mantle clock. It does need repair. The outside of the clock is in fine shape and the glass and dial are very clean. Here is the main issue with this clock. I think the main spring has been wound to tight. You can swing the pendulum and it will run for about ten seconds and then stop. If you take the time and have the patience when the pendulum is swung the minute hand does move as it should. Also if you manually move the minute hand around the clock it will sound the gong at the half and the top of the hour. This clock does come with a key and pendulum and needs someone who knows what they are doing to fix the spring problem. The cl ock measures 18 inches wide. 9 1/2 tall and 5 inches deep. Up for auction is this handsome Seth Thomas mantle or shelf clock. The case is solid wood and it is in very nice condition with brass ball feet. The clock face door is intact. And needs adjusting to close more easily. The glass is intact. The face shows some age wear. The bottom of the clock is stamped with what I believe to be"1917A" The movement is marked with the ST logo and"Made in USA" as well as the number 89. There is no key. With my master key, I was able to wind the clock. It runs for about 15 minutes, unless I put small shims under the front feet to angle it back.then it will run continuously. It chimes on the hour and half hour, but not the correct number of chimes. The clock measures 16 3/4" long and 9 3/4" high. For a clock repair person. This will make a great investment. It has both original weights and winder which are appropriate for the time and style clock. It has the original glass(very wavy) and the old zinc dial shows VERY little wear and great paint still. The reverse painting on the bottom glass of the yellow bird and flowers is in near mint cond. as you can see( VERY RARE) The case is a beautiful mahogany veneer with. Miraculously, only a couple VERY small chips at the base of the door(very common) barely noticeable. The label inside is in great shape as well and is still perfectly legible. Here is an old clock frame. This is made of brass. It measures about 11" tall and 11 1/8" wide. This has some type of slate or marble panel. It has openings for one on each side of the center one, but they are missing. I did not find any markings on this. The clock opening is about 3 1/2" across. This is from a large clock collection. Make this your next project! This is for the frame only. There is not movement or other parts. There are 2 marble or slate panels missing. ANTIQUE French Garniture Mantle Clock Set 1800's Bronze Brass Marked Dostal Key This is a beautiful set. Incredibly heavy and ornate, in need of a little TLC. The exterior is either bronze or brass and at one time had been all gilded. When I purchased it, it looked rough and someone had tried to polish it with brass cleaner. My goal was to remove all the dried up brass cleaner and have it regilded. Unfortunately, I had no time or money to get this done. It has sat in the garage just begging to be fixed up. It's also missing a spear or sword on the cherub. It measures 22 inches high by 11 inches wide by 6 inches deep. It has an enamel face which is in a very clean condition with no major chips or cracks. There is some minor wear to the inside portion of the holes where the key went. The hammer to the bell has been resoldered at some ... morepoint. There are some holes on the back of the candelabras which may suggest they had armatures to each, or not. Just disclosing all I can find. The underside of the clock is marked with"DostaI 351" and on the back of the clock mechanism I see a 3 and a 5. Each candelabra is marked"C.D. 351" confirming this is a matched set. It's currently working, a beautiful bell strike on the hour and half hour. But I haven't been able to get any clocks to ship and work at the destination, so consider it in need of a"tuning" when you receive it. This is an extremely heavy set and will cost quite a bit to ship. My shipping estimate won't cover it all since it will need to be shipped in separate boxes. Antique 1850’s George Marsh Weight Driven OGEE Mantle Shelf Clock Wooden Dial Here’s a very nice George Marsh Ogee Clock dating back to the 1850’s. I bought this about 5 years ago and never did anything with it. The clock has brass works and a 9” wooden dial. The clock runs for a short period of time and then stops. It probably just needs a good cleaning. The clock case is in overall good condition. It has its original reverse painted tablet which has had the blue around the center touched up(see picture) It counts the hours on a wire gong and measures 25-3/4” tall. 15-3/8” wide and 4-1/4” deep. The clock has its weights and pendulum, but no key. It’s a handsome clock that needs a little bit of TLC. I’m selling it just as I found it. Antique Bronze Catherderal Lamp Old MANTLE CLOCK Made in the USA Church Scene
Fresh from a Maryland estate sale. This really neat lamp/ clock stands 12" to the peak and has the Cathederal look. It is metal and has a copper color(maybe Bronze or just coated to look bronze) It is in excellant condition although I could not get the clock to work. It is wound very tight. The lights and switch both work and one of the pictures shows the clock with the light on. The 3 glass panels are all beveled at the top and have a white frost color to them, the very front piece has been broken and repaired long ago. At the base of the clock it has made in the USA. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Key Wind Chiming Spring Mantle Clock Working. Here is a fantastic Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day. Key Wind, Chiming Spring Clock. This clock is in Working Condition. The clock measures 15" Tall. 11.25" Wide and 4.5" Deep. The original operating instructions and paperwork is still on the inside of the clock in very good condition. The painted scene on the lower glass is missing some paint. This is very common with clocks of this age. The clock dates from about 1865 to 1880. Just more proof of the workmanship put into these clocks by the Seth Thomas Company. The 8 Day Lyre movement is marked S. Thomas. Unusual Petite Early 1900's Antique French Marti Era Mantle Mantel Shelf Clock

Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures and read the terms under our last picture. This is another clock from the estate of a collector that we have been selling for the last 6 weeks or so. What makes this clock different is the petite size. It measures 13 3/4" wide. 3 1/8" deep and the dial is only a 3 1/2" diameter, including the case it's about a 5" diameter. Cute as a button! This is a French clock in a mahogany case. The movement is signed"Made In France" has a lion stamped on to it and just to the right of the lion are the letters" H& H" There are other markings on the clock but I think those are from the repairman. The dial is ... moremarked France as well. The dial may be porcelain and is covered with a bevel glass convex glass bezel. The movement is sitting a little crooked inside the case as the 12 is not centered as shown. The solid mahogany case is nicely scrolled but there are dings and scrapes which should be clearly evident in the pictures. This clock rests on little brass ball feet. I cannot get this clock to run. I do not have the key so I took a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully wound the clock a little to check to see if it runs. Rare and Beautiful Vintage Antique Skeleton Mantle Clock by Cuckoo Clock Mfg Co. This is a rare and beautiful Glass and Brass King Style Skeleton Mantle Clock made in Germany by the Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing Co. Inc. This beautiful Clock is working. We purchased this several months ago at an Estate Auction and it has been on my desk running since that time. The clock measures 11.5" wide. 7.5" tall and is 5.5" Deep. The Lyre Movement has a beautiful sounding three strike chime. It strikes on the Half hour and on the hour counting down the hours. The chime is marked with the number U62 as you can see from the above photos. The movement is marked Made in Germany By The Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co. Inc. with the number 467969. The key is included that winds both the chime and the pendulum. The hinged glass and brass case has a brass ... morepin on both ends. By removing one of the pins you can easily raise the glass case to access the clock. This is a beautiful example of German Clock making workmanship. Antique Gingerbread Kitchen Shelf Mantle Terry Clock company Clock
This is a shelf or mantle clock made by the Terry Clock Company. It is stamped on the metal for the movement"Terry Clock Company Pittsfield. MA" The lady I bought this clock from said that they had this clock restored to working order. It kept good time up until last week. We believe it's wound too tight. When you wind up the alarm side, the alarm keeps moving until it unwinds. The face of the clock is tin and above the six it has a circle with what looks like an S in it. The stenciling on the glass is showing some loss of color and scratches, but the design is plants and flowers with a woman's bust in the bottom left corner. It is missing the pin on the door that holds the door shut. The case appears to be in very good condition. There are no manufacturer's labels anywhere on the clock. To the highest point it measures ... more19" tall. The widest point is the base and it measures 12 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" deep. It has a key but it is not the original key. Where the screws hold the face on the clock, please take note of the cracked wood. We don't know the exact age of the clock, but we Googled the Terry Clock Company and found one that looks like it that was made from 1880-1884. Gilbert Clock Co. No. 44 Shelf/Mantle Clock This clock needs some TLC! We are selling it as a non-working clock that can be used for parts or as a great project for repair. We will ask you to use the photos to grade and bid accordingly. The clock has its key and does wind but is missing pendulums/weights. When it is wound it does run but VERY fast and it does chime as it should on the hour and half-hour. When it runs it passes a half hour in about ten minutes- we are not experts but that may be due to not having any pendulum etc but if you are looking at this you may know the reason. The face is well worn and likely needs replaced and the cabinet casing does show sure signs of age with dings and scratches. The clock center is also beginning to separate from the bottom base. Antique Mantle Clock. It measures 13 x 7 x 17 1/2" high and weighs 24 lbs. The mahogany case has a few cracks and veneer broken off, the wood pieces broken off are from the back and(shown in picture#8) some glueing should to the job. I wound the clock up alittle and couldn't get it to work, I wound the bell chime up and couldn't get it to stop and one of the clock mounting bracket to the case is missing(see picture#10) so some work needs to be done"I'm Selling AS-IS" The clock works seem to be complete with a bell chime and a Fusee Movement. There's no maker's mark and I don't know country of orgin. There's no broken glass and overall should make for a easy restoration project. Being offered is a great clock. It is an Ansonia that has a pat date of June 13th 1882 on the inside works. It has its pendulum and key. It has been running for 24 hours now and strikes the# of hours on the hour and then 1 time on the half hour. I believe this to be an 8 day clock but not real sure and no markings. This beauty stands a little less then 15 tall and about 10 1/2 wide and 5 3/4 deep. It has a super look with the carvings and decorations much like the large gingerbread clocks. The face shows some wear which is typical for over a 100 year old clock. Love this piece and I am sure you will to. Very versatile due to its rich looks and smaller size. You could put it anywhere and it would look great!

Antique Collectible Rare Silas Hoadley mid-1800s pre-Civil War Mantle Clock
I have a Silas Hoadley mantle clock made between 1835- 1855 in Plymouth Connecticut. It is an 8 day. 30 hour(+/ clock. It has wooden clock works. It is an O Gee or split column clock. Everything is wood including the dial, clock works, etc. All gears are in good condition. Its dimensions are: 14 1/2" wide x 29 3/4" tall x 4" deep. It has the original: Hands. Key, Latch, Ivory insert for key hole, Pendulum, Steel hands, and tablets. It has a placard that reads"UNION MUST BE PRESERVED" across top. It looks hand painted and original) This clock works good. Wind it up and put on the weights. And it will start working and keeping time. It is intended to sit on a mantle or shelf. Be forwarned: It becomes top heavy when wound. So it should be anchored using screw eye fastened to top back to prevent it from falling over) ... moreTHE"BAD" It has had a repair on the count wheel at some time in its life by a professional who replaced 2 teeth. The screws are missing from the bottom hinge. Winding key may or may not be original. Small piece of wood missing from top. Left, back side. Missing completely from right side. As shown in pics 8& 9) Pulley covers missing(for keeping dust off pulleys) It has been restrung with string that is too short. It needs to be restrung with proper length string so it will stay wound longer than 14 hours. Not sure if the weights are original. They seem to be a little light. This clock is very rare. The owner has only seen 1 other one in his life time.

Up for auction a rare antique Sessions Adamantine Shelf/ Mantle clock. It winds and runs perfectly. The detailing on the front of this adamantine(early form of plastic) clock case is just exquisite. Both sets of columns. Side meal ornamental pieces, and legs are all intact and look original. As you can tell by the photographs the clock needs a good cleaning. The wood back is still on clock although the label has been peeled off. I'd venture to say this clock was constructed circa 1930. The face reads"Made by the Sessions Clock Co. Forstville, Conn. U.S.A. The glass cover is perfect with no cracks and it latches closed tightly. Dimensions of the clock are 10.5" high by 15" long by 6" wide. All that remains is the original clock face, The pulleys for the weights, And the spring mounting for the hour strike. The cabinet is structurally in good condition but does have some veneer loss. The glass in the door I believe is original and is free of cracks or breaks. The bottom panel which has reverse painting does have some paint loss. Antique Le Roy mantle clock manufactured in Paris France
Clock does not have a date on it but it was owned by my grandmother who was born in the 1880's. Not sure if it was her mothers. My best guess is that it is Circa 1900-1910.
