PAT'D 1869 ANTIQUE CAST IRON CLOCK / OIL LAMP SHELF BRACKET VICTORIAN FIGURAL
Just acquired out of a Midwest estate. We are able to offer this very nice and quite unusual ~ CAST IRON CLOCK/ OIL LAMP SHELF ~. It has a patent date of 1869 on the back. This type of shelf would have normally been used for oil lamps or small clock but actually could have been used to display many items. I originally though that this was all carved wood, until I picked it up and realized it is cast iron. It has a wonderful look and we have never seen another one like it. The shelf is quite fancy and retains the original patina. It measures 14 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide by about 5 3/4 inches deep and weighs 4 pounds. The over all condition is actually quite good with the exception of a little bit of damage near the bottom center- see picture# 7. It is not all that easy to detect, but none the less there. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FOYER CEILING SLAG LAMP CIRCA EARLY 1900'S
Here for your consideration is a beautiful antique Victorian style foyer slag lamp that was purchased from the estate of a home that was built in the 1920's. This piece is as breathtaking as it is unique. It is 18 inches in height. 10 1/4 inches wide, has a 6 inch chain, and a ceiling cone that is 4 1/4 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches tall. It features four slag"S" shaped curved caramel swerve colored glasses. All original, all in excellent condition. Also features 4 more"S' shaped narrow glasses that are located just behind each of the four ornately decorated gorgeous corners of the lamp. There are 4 crowning screw-in pieces located at the top corners of the lamp to allow easier access to the interior. To say that this lamp is a work of art is an understatement. Despite its wonderful features we are obligated of course ... moreto tell you of any defects. The tube that connects the chain to the ceiling has a little bit of build up. Or lite rust. However this does not stop it from screwing securely to the lamp and going through the cone. The lamp appears to have been spray painted gold and has some areas that are flaking, underneath reveals are beautiful dark patina. One of the small ornaments just above the larger"S" shaped glass appears to have been chipped and may have been repaired. It should be noted that this piece is small and not very noticable. Not a difficult repair should you decide to go that route. The bottom of the lamp has some scratches do to it being placed on the floor. The electrical wires have been updated. However we can not guarantee that they work. All in all it displays breathtakingly as it stands with just a few touch ups. Or it can be completely restored with its lovely dark patina underneath. The lamp feature a Victorian girl praying on a fringed Victorian prayer alter. Her curled hair is held back with a ribbon. The lamps were sculpted by a master and the minute detail on the lamp is marvelous. see photos. I have included a lot of detail photos of the lamps for your information. Aloha and thank you for visiting my store. Vintage Hawaiian Shirts and Dresses! Up for auction is a beautifully carved conch shell lamp. It's missing the base. But the beauty is in the shell. I'm not sure where it's from. But lots of the estate items were collected while sailing around the world, from the 60's to 80's. There were a few other beautifully carved shell items from Tahiti. So I'm guessing this is from the South Pacific, but really have no idea. Please due your due diligence, or better yet, send some education on this piece, my way. There's a small chip on the tip and a little bit of wear on the bottom. The base is missing. But the metal rings to screw something in are in perfect condition. Antique 1882 Hanging Library Light Lamp Victorian White Milk Glass Shade When I first got this lamp is was all in one piece. When I stored it the side brackets that were soldered on have broke off and need to be soldered back on. I also have forgotten exactly how it goes togerther but all of the original pieces are there. Up for auction is this beautiful antique lamp that was made and sold in the Victorian era. It was made by Vapo-Cresolene Co. of New York. This lamp was used for Whooping Cough. Spasmodic Croup, Nasal Catarrh, Colds, Bronchitis, Coughs, Sore Throat, Broncho Pneumonia, Asthma and other ailments. You would light the miniature oil lamp put it on the stand and put Vapo-Cresolene in the medicine tray to vaporize the room. The gilded stand is a very ornate metal and the top of the stand above the lamp is the vaporizing cup that would hold the medicine. The top plate has Patented Aug. 4 85– Aug. 8 88, these are 1800 dates. The miniature oil lamp comes complete with a white milk glass globe that is in very good condition. The burner moves freely and it holds the original wick. The medicine tray which is usually lost comes with the lamp. The little ... morelamp measures 6 ¼” tall. Magnificent antique victorian/ art nouveau table lamp c.1920s* This is a gorgeous antique lamp which stands 18 inches high and is 8 inches wide at the base. The materials include brass and other metals I'm not sure of. A magnet doesn't stick to most of it including the foot so its not iron-It is heavy though. There is a gold finish on the lamp. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy triple cut crystal pull at the end of the chain. The base has a beautiful acanthus leaf design. The metal domed shade has a fancy pierced border decorated with 30 strands of crystals which have new brass bow tie pins. Thanks for looking! this is a stunning antique very large brass Victorian era oil burning floor lamp. pat. date 1893 it is fully adjustable by pushing the knob in on the shaft and adjusts from 76 inches tall to the lowest at 63 inches tall and is 19 inches wide at the feet. it is extremely ornate with intricate detailing in heavy relief with a nice floral milk glass globe style ball shade. it has a very ornate brass removable font which is complete and works great. the flame adjusts at the knob on the side and the burner mount holds a clear glass chimney shade. the long brass shaft is a wonderful swirled design and it holds the nicely ribbed shaft inside which is the adjustable part. its beautifully footed with three ball feet and are held together by a great/ very ornate cast iron triangle mount which holds the feet and shaft into place. the piece is in good ... moreshape and is very large. refer to last picture there is a crack in the font holder but not very noticeable and doesn't hurt the integrity of the piece. the lamp will be dismantled for shipping and for a safe travel. Vintage Bisque Porcelain Figurine Lamp. 23 3/4"h x 6" base dia, Shows a cherub with loin cloth with a bird on his lap and the base has a fluted column on round base with molded wave scroll border.The glass shade is very beautiful with the fluted top and a paisley design to the panels.No chips or cracks. We are pleased to have found this item as you won't find many or any these days in ORIGINAL CONDITION! The finish is entirely original without any type of refinishing job whatsoever. These are what antique auction houses drool over. The investment is one the best you can make, we bring this item to you in as found condition and has been in a collection for many years only to find a new home with some very lucky ebayer who can see the value. These types of tables can be found, many this age and on ebay, very few if any in original condition and original finish. The top has the normal split from age, I can have this fixed by a professional and leave the patina intact or we can refinish this item ... morefor you. In my personal experience it is BEST to leave it as is, possibly glue the split with some wood glue but that again is up to you. antique rare very large ornate victorian solid heavy brass electric table lamp
this is a very rare. Very large antique solid brass Victorian electric table lamp. it is made from heavy brass and has a gorgeous patina from age. it has 10 beautifully ornate arms which hold a bulb on each arm covered by gorgeous frosted clear glass flame shades. the arms are extremely detailed with 3 dimensional foliage with vines and leaves. Which also surrounds the sockets. it has a beautiful brass shaft with a rope style. And a very ornate heavily embossed, brass base. it is all wired and works wonderfully. All bulbs work great, and all pieces present measures 35 x 13 inches.very large table lamp it is in good shape especially for age. there is a hairline crack in one of the shades that is hard to see and can be put toward the back and to not be visible. Refer to last pic, and one of the tops of the shades has a repair that is a pretty ... moregood repair refer to second to last pic. VERY RARE.
