Antique 19th c Hinged Druggist Tramp Art Box w/ Fabric Sides, Mirror, Monogram
This is an antique handmade tramp are box that looks like it was made from a druggist's box. Where the fabric has worn away. It says Lambert on two sides and Druggist on one and there are more words that are partially covered by fabric and wood. The black fabric that once covered the sides is mostly frayed and torn away, and there is a faded piece of red velvet on the top that is missing almost all of its velvet and has one tear. There is a diamond shaped mirror on the top that has a Y shaped crack all the way through but it is held in place by a wooden frame. There are three letters on one side(M, L, R) which I believe is a monogram. The lid is hinged and easily opens and closes. There are some missing and loose pieces of notched wood around the box, and some of the pieces have been scratched up pretty badly, but the box is solid and ... moreperfectly useable, and the look is fantastic! The outer measurements of the box are 16" x 12" x 9 1/4" I will wrap it very well and insure it during shipping.

Unique Antique Folk Tramp Art Americana Leather Brass Hardware Primitive Box #2
Offering for auction this very old tramp/folk art heavy recipe/index card box. It is composed of layers of leather fit together with stitching. Screws and rivets. It has brass(some copper also) metal accents of screws, hinges, trunk corners. The box measures approximately 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 3 3/8" and does show some age wear but is in overall good condition(please refer to images) for it's age. The leather top has cracks while the brass has oxidation(from moisture? My mom bought this for me from an estate sale over 20 years ago and was told at the time that this was circa 1900's to 1930's. It's a great primitive hand made depression era piece of folk art. I will also be listing it's companion box which is more of a letter/glove box size which you can see in the last photo. Cigar Box Wooden Dollhouse Piano 1930's This piano was part of a dollhouse collection I aquired that was from the 1930's and 40's. I'm not sure if it is Tramp Art but it is made from wooden cigar boxes and if you look inside you can see a colorful old picture. Part of little girl in a blue dress, that was originally decorating a cigar box. The keys are paper and are somewhat warped and discolored. 19th C hand carved tramp art double frame, no reserve
Offered here without reserve is this 19th C hand carved double frame that I think qualifies as tramp art though its not in the classic chip carved form. Overall she measures 15 1/8" x 11" And takes two 7" x 5" images. There are two minor apologies- a chipped off sliver of wood as shown in my 6th picture and a corresponding chipped off sliver as shown in my 8th picture. I'm guess its been recently retained, so the surface is not original. Again, there is no reserve but buyer pays $15 for domestic USPS shipping.

Up for auction is a very unique piece of TRAMP ART. It is a large piece with a clock. It measures almost 15 inches x 12 inches tall and 7 inches deep. This piece of TRAMP ART is in very good condition with a few pieces of the carvings missing. Hardly noticeable. This is not unusual for TRAMP ART. It is all original condition and I am guessing it is from the 1920's. The clock does not work. There is a key for the alarm. This delightful pair of ca. 1865-1885 hand carved frames take the form of lady’s high button boots with incised carved designs of scroll. Pierced hearts and clovers. Each measures app. 8 ¼” tall x 6 1/8” wide x 5/8” deep and has a reveal of 2 ¾” x 1 7/8” holding an image up to 4 ½” x 2 ¼” As pictured, they house period tintypes of married couples(under glass) The back fittings are hand crafted of solid copper and will hold cdvs without glass. Hand signed amd dedicated to his Mother, filigree wood, beautifully done dovetailed corners, rectangle shaped head nails, and an unbelievable patina, with much character and heart, unknown type of wood, made in late 19th to early 20th century I believe. The detail here is absolutely spectacular as I think my pictures show for this hand made late 19th century. Early 20th century filigree wooden tool box tray. Measures 12" x 8.25" x 3 1/2" tall to top of handle, sides are 2" tall and wood is 1/4" thick. This is a magnificent example of Early Americana naive filigree form of ... morefolk art. Usually. Items of such delicacy have a variety of apologies- missing or replaced pieces- but in this case I can find but one apology. that this piece has never been offered to the public until now. The inscription beneath the box identifies its maker and the person it was made for or dedicated to, his Mother. This amazing piece shows wear from use. Is most likely a TRUE antique piece, has rectangle shaped nail heads, beautiful dovetail construction to all corners, and is signed on bottom, can't make out name, Howard something, I believe the maker made this for his Mother, signed To his Mother, something Jane McTaggard, somewhere, Indiana.
