Antique Reed & Barton Silver Plate Samovar Tea Coffee Urn
Offering for your consideration today is this large Reed and Barton Tea urn. It is heavily chased and decorated with Grapes and leaves. It is monogrammed on the front and back Overall great condition with only 2 minor dents that are not real noticeable because the piece is so busy. There is one dent on the front just to the right of the monogram at about 4 o'clock and the other is on the back in the middle of the monogram. it holds 84 Fl. oz. of liquid. I put some water in it and the spigot worked properly but it did drip a small drop every 20 seconds. It is marked on the bottom REED AND BARTON with the numbers 1951 and the number 12. There are no breaks or repairs and it measures 18" tall. There is no reserve.

Farberware Art Deco Coffee Percolator Samovar Urn
This is a mirror-finish Farberware Chrome 10-Cup Percolator Urn from the 1930s. The black Art Deco handles on the urn and spigot are probably Bakelite or a similar early composite. The glass percolator topper is Faberware's own 9-facet design and very attractive. The pot holds a little extra than 10 cups since the spigot was positioned off the bottom to prevent"dregs" from being poured. This is a beautiful example of early utilitarian design. it works as great as it looks. The finish. The inside, and all the parts are super clean. One bag is 30" x 24" and the other 3 are 18" x 18" This is a very heavy set total weight unpacked 32lbs. The age is post 1940 or 1950. The footed tray is 29" x 18" Samovar is 16" tall/ coffer& tea are 12" 9" tall/ sugar w/lid& creamer are 6" 6.5" tall and the waste bowl is 4" All the pieces have the Birmingham crown BSC REG mark with one of the pieces the marking is barely visible. This Urn was made by Meriden Britannia It shows very well with a great display of early fine silver plated pieces. Pat June 13. 1868& Nov 30, 1868 There are cherubs on each end. And a tiger engraved on each side. Beautifully engraved! The urn attaches to a basket like holder so the beverage can be poured. It holds 12 cups and appears lined in a ceramic for insulation. It does show signs of use with wear on the holder beneath the urn and on the edges from placing it in and out of the holder. There are some dents on one side near the tiger as shown in pics. This is Beautiful Antique Russian Hallmarked Brass Samovar by BATASHEV 1870-1898 Tula. Hand made from very thick heavy brass and wood. Has a very stylish design. It is measures approx. 22" tall. 15" between handles and very heavy. The samovar tee pot is in very good vintage condition. Some age and use related wear. The brass has a wonderful patina from age. Samovar were highly prized in Russia life- they were not only a source of hot water for beverages. They were a heating instrument and the center of the family. Antique Sternau Company Tea Maker Samovar - Early 1900's
Antique Sternau Company(New York) Tea Maker- Samovar. Bottom of pot and burner both marked Sternau Co and the burner shows a patent date of either 1906 or 1908. Hard to tell for sure. The tea leaves are placed in the infuser, lowered by the chain into the pot. The spigot is tested watertight, not leaking. I cannot find another one online. Pot has some minor wear marks here and there but no dings that I could find. Silver in color but not marked that I could see. Bottom of pot shows darkening from burner use. He was a Persian- Armenian silversmith and his works are among the finest ever to be made. He had made pieces for the Shah himself. He also made a lot of pieces which were given as gifts to foreign minsters etc. This stunning set consists of the samovar. Tray, teapot and bowl. All of the components have been chased by hand with very fine floral patterns typical of VARTAN's work. His work is very distinctive. So when the teapot sits on the samovar, the total height is approximately 25cm-26cm. Finally the tray is 19.2cm in length and its width at the widest point is 13.9cm. Samovars are very traditional Russion vessels for heating and boiling water used primarily for the tea making and drinking. The name"samovar" comes from the Russian words for"self" and"boiling" and refers to the method of heating water with charcoal. The samovars were made in Russia from 1700s. This particular one was made in late 1890s- early 1900s. It was made by the factory of N.A.Vorontsov- a well-known factory foubded in 1860 in the city of Tula- the main samovar production region of Russia. Antique Imperial Russian (Samovar) Kettle on 3-Footed Stand with Burner
This beautiful antique 3-Footed Kettle with a Burner came to this country from Imperial Russia via the Great-Grandparents of its owner. It is estimated that it was made in the late 1800s. The Kettle and its Burner are made of solid. Non-magnetic metal and have a faded silver tone. The handle has a cane wrapping, of which a small part is burned off(please see photo no.6) The Burner has a removable"wick" which seems made out of wood) inside a metal sleeve. From the upright handle, the Kettle is 13 1/4" tall and 8" wide including its spout. Vintage 7 pc silver on copper tea set - includes Samovar & Tray - P/U ONLY
This is for pick-up only. This is a vintage silver on copper 7-piece tea set. It is from Lifetime Brand and pieces include Samovar. Coffeepot, Teapot, Sugar Bowl, Creamer, Scrap Pot and Footed Tray with Handles. Entire set is very ornate and every piece is footed. The Samovar is 15 ½”H from bottom of base to top of handle. Coffee and Tea each measure 12”H. The tray measures 18” X 24” and it’s 18” X 29” including the handles. The hinges on the Coffee and Tea need to be repaired. The pieces are there. Just need to be re-attached(soldered? The Scrap Pot is missing the tip of one foot but doesn’t effect its use. The Sugar Bowl has lost the tip of one foot. But I have the piece and I think it can be repaired. Overall. This is a beautiful, ornate, very heavy vintage tea set. This very fine piece bears the Superior Silver Plate Company hallmark, used by the Middletown Plate Company of Middletown, Connecticut in the 1880’s to about 1909. The samovar measures 14 inches high, 9.75 inches wide from handle to handle, 4.75 inches in diameter at the top opening and 5.75 inches wide between each ornately scrolled foot. The samovar has a date of October 1861 as a date of dedication stamped on it back. The book American Silver Plate by Dorothy and Ivan Rainwater picture the samovar and pattern on page 97 and give the date of manufactured between 1853 and 1862. This samovar is pre civil war era and a superb example of Victorian quality standing 17.5 inches tall by 11.5 inches wide from handle to handle. The front of the samovar is marked with a monogram which reads MAO from LDG. The burner fits as it should though it has turned dark from age. Inside there is an applied makers metal label that states that it is'Loysels Patent Hydrostatic Percolator. L. Pyrke& Sons, London. You are bidding on an Antique Georgian Old Sheffield plated. Urn-style Samovar with beautiful patina. Plain rectangular body with rounded corners, tapering sides and a lift-off lid. This has the original liner with its own lid& handles and original iron weight insert for heating the inside, two side handles, applied Gadroon-edged borders, pedestal mounting. Rare Whitehurst Imports Ltd Ed 817/1000 Russian Samovar Ornament
Very rare Russian Samovar Ornament by Whitehurst Imports. A now defunct company. Beautiful piece from their 1995 collection. Made in Russia, this samovar is hand painted on mouth blown glass and measures 8" tall by 5" wide. This ornament is numbered#214 of just 1000 that were made in 1995. I have listed this as used since I have owned it since 1995, although I have never displayed it, and it comes with the original tag, box and scroll(see photos) It is in"Like new" condition.

The 3 handles are made of wood. It is a large 22" tall. This is in condition as shown. It has a few small dents associated with normal use. I did not try to clean the nice patina off the boiler. The silverplate finish is in excellent used condition with only a few marks and little scratches.
