VINTAGE EMBROIDERED PICTURE HEATHLAND SCENE IN GLAZED FRAME
This is an absolutely beautiful embroidered picture in a glazed frame measuring 9¾" x 8" 25cm x 20cm) and depicting a heathland scene. The colours are stunning. From the pink and purple heathers to the almost luminous yellow flowers. I'm not quite certain if it is embroidered in silks or wool.or maybe a mixture of both. The embroidery is on a linen backing. It is mounted in a black frame and on the reverse it has a label which reads Albert S Hutchings(wall of art)17 East Street Bristol 3. which I believe dates it to around the 1920's. The Aristocrat- The character looks rather jolly, but sometimes has people flogged to death if they insult him. A skilled actor could make the mask look cheerful by holding his head high, or menacing by dropping his chin. The common people took great joy in mocking the aristocracy through talchum. In addition to this regular type of yangban. Some regions included a character whose face was painted half-white and half-red. This symbolized the fact that his biological father was a different man than his acknowledged father; he was an illegitimate son. Other yangban were portrayed as disfigured by leprosy or small-pox. This cute little pewter frame is approx 1 ½” square. It has a raised Tweety Bird design and says Forget Me Not. There is a cardboard inset and there are two tabs off the back with holes but whatever was originally there to hold in the picture is not there– maybe a little dowel rod stand of some sort. You would have to work with it to figure out how it would hang with those tabs sticking out or build a little stand for it. Antique 1878 Cast Iron Ship With Angel Picture Frame & Oil painting Of Baby
This is marked on the part that goes on the back of the beveled edge glass Pat April23 1878. The frame does have a repair that may have occurred at the factory? The chair that the angel was sitting in was broken off and soldiered back on. You cant hardly tell it from the front. The oil painting of the baby is not signed and was done on canvass. It looks to be from the 1870's or 1880's. It is 2 inches across. The frame is made of cast iron and is 9 inches tall and 7 inches wide. OLD antique vintage Fine Art OIL PAINTING original Arts and Crafts Picture frame
Up for auction here is a nice antique. Circa late 1890s to around late 19 teens arts and crafts era oil painting on canvas of a Rough Seas Seascape. The painting is being sold in a dark finished arts and crafts style oak frame which is probably original to the painting. The painting on its own measures 9 inches high by 16 inches across and with the frame 13 1/4 inches by 20 1/4 inches. There is no signature on the painting that we can see but there is an abnormal spot in the lower left that looks like it might have been a signature at one time but we are not sure. The stretcher bars are the old American or European style where they are square cut rather than the ones later cut at a 45 degree angle. As for condition. The painting is very very dark and need a good cleaning. There are about 9 tiny white paint spots or chips scattered on the ... moresurface. There are a couple of tiny paint crackle spots but the canvas is tight to the canvas. There is finish missing on the frame on three edges that will need to be touched up. The frame is damaged in the upper right on the silver painted wood liner, there is a one inch by 3/8ths of an inch chunk of wood missing. There is an old framer's label from Carson Pierre Scott on the back which has been closed for framing since about the 1950s and the label is much older than that. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE MEMORIAL PICTURE FRAME 1880s 20" X 32" ORIG. GLASS
This picture frame hung in my great great grandmother's parlor with a picture of her infant who was born and died in 1888 at 7 months age. The first picture shows the memorial dove and poem. It has been stored all these years since. And it is time to pass it on to someone else who would like it. Measuring 20" x 32" it can hang either way-vertically or horizontally. The original glass is included. The glass size is 14"x 26" It is wavy, as I hope you can see from my pictures. There are two round hooks for picture wire, as shown in one the photos. The frame is about 2" deep slanting from the back to the front. The face of the face is 3-1/2" wide. It has never been painted over or touched up in any way. Antique Heavy Metal Picture Frame~Ornate Work With Semi Nude On Side
This is a beautiful antique picture frame. It appears to be brass. Not sure, but it is that color. It is quite heavy, total measurement is about 13" tall, and 9 1/4" across. The picture opening is about 4 1/4 x 5 3/4" There is no glass for this frame, and on the back, I'm not sure if there was an easel stand for it at one time that is missing? The only markings I find on the back is the# 2320. Pretty heavy piece. Please ask questions before bidding.

Antique Victorian wood picture frame. The four corners have brass fixtures that depict paws with sharp claws. I am not sure what the wood is. It is tired with some scratches and could use freshening up. The joints are tight and solid and the frame is stiff and not wobbly.
