I can’t find any damage, except the marble base, there might be two very small chips, but they’re so small that even when I look closely I’m not entirely sure that they’re there. Magnificent Vintage French Six Light Porcelain and Bronze Chandelier with Glass Shades. An immense chandelier. Beautifully decorated with porcelain roses. The decorative ceiling rose is fluted at the centre with a pretty embossed rim. The short hanging chain has plain and fancy links. The creamy porcelain central column is topped with an intricate tracery rose that has a delicately scalloped edge. Beautiful pink roses and green leaves adorn the central column. Which tapers out gently and has a gorgeous embossed foliage pattern. The central body of this light is in richly decorated bronze. Having a plume and sheaf designboth top and bottom. The six remarkable arms extend from here. In bronze tracery work, they are lavish with sweeps and curls giving a really opulent look. At the end of each arm are the candle cups, each in porcelain with more ... moredelicate roses attached, there is a bronze rose matching that on the central column on top of each and a faux mantel for the glass shades to sit in. The shades are a lovely amber coloured glass with an embossed pattern around the centre and a frilled rim. This wonderful chandelier is completed with another porcelain section. Fluted at the top and decorated with more complementing roses around the base. In excellent vintage condition. The porcelain and flowers have only a few minor flaws which as can be seen in no way diminishes this fantastic light, and the bronze has attained a superb patina over the years. All the glass shades are free of chips or cracks. A stunning chandelier. It is extremely decorative would be an impressive focal point in any setting. FABULOUS Louis XV French Marquetry Rosewood Ladies Petite Desk w/ Bronze Mounts
A rare Kidney shaped Louis XV French ladies desk with elevated writing surface. Wonderful rosewood and marquetry top. Fabulous inlay of quill pens, paper scroll, and ink sanders. This is truly a spectacular find! We have never had a finer or daintier desk to offer. It does have some normal wear, tear, and damage. I believe it to be around 1870. The drawer bottom and sides are hand planed and hand dove tailed. The measurements of this little gem are 27.5' wide 17' deep and 30.25' tall. We are selling it as we found it in the attic of a coastal Maine home. More pictures upon request for serious inquiries. We have looked for a signature but have not found one, but i believe this was definitely made by an important cabinet maker.

French First Empire Gilt-Bronze Portico Clock. Egyptian Revival, c.1807 This is a French First Empire Gilt-Bronze Portico Clock. First quarter 19th Century. It is resplendent with a near-mint Doré bronze finish. The clock is in early Egyptian Revival style; the main spring dated 1807. Two large columns depicting sphinx heads support the clock. Along the top and bottom are intricately modeled relief face plates with mythological swans and winged minotaurs. On the face. Set in a molded bezel is the large enamel dial with Roman numerals, and fleur-de-lis clock hands. The movement is the original spring driven brass movement with bell strike, silk-string suspension works and pendulum. The clock has a superb gothic design to it with the steeple finials to the caddy top which are all in excellent condition. To each corner of the top their is a matching gothic finial which lines up with the quality carved pillars that go up each corner of the main body. Pair of French porcelain and bronze boudoir lamps with glass candle sleeves
Pair of bronze and porcelain figural and floral boudoir lamps. Figures of boy and girl with marks on back of base as shown in photos. The lamp bases are marked"FRANCE" beneath the wiring ferrule at the back of the base. The candle sleeves are white opaline glass and one has hairline crack but otherwise sound. Here Artist original clay sculpture is nearly ready for the foundry. Note the artist is still adding the finishing ... moretouches. Most sculptors prefer to work with clay or wax; some however. Do use wood and other mediums. Here the finished original clay is now complete. The sculptor will take it to the foundry now, get a bid then begin the first stages of the lost wax process. The first step can be shocking for some as they begin to decide how this original will be cut up. In order to prepare the original clay sculpture for molding. It will be dissected by cutting the clay with wire and by cutting the armature with a saw. The armature is what helped support the clay in place while the artist was creating it. Note the registration marks which later in the process will serve to realign the parts. Shown here are the sections of the original clay sculpture after having been dissected. Now the various parts of the original are carefully mounted on clay plugs before the rubber mold material is applied. The clay plug later serves as a pour spout for the mold.
