As you can see cabinet has 4 pivoted moving drawers. They will not fall out or come off hinges as they are permanently pivoted swiveling right to left opening out. Youll notice that the front of cabinet and moving side of the cabinet has the accented wood and the other does not. That little top extra holder in top drawer slides across on a lip and can be removed as you can see, Top lock works great and key works fine, Locks and unlocks perfectly. Very nice antique brass ornate Eastlake/ Victorian ice box or cabinet door latch/ lock. The back reads Pat. June 29-97 and there is an L on each also. These Antique Brass Latch's would make a great addition to a collection or are great for a restoration project! Lock/ latch is 3 1/2" tall x 2 1/8" wide not including the latch portion itself which protrudes approx. 3/8" Appear to be in very good used condition with definite signs of age. Wear and a great patina. There are no breaks but some light rust on the cast iron part in the back. When you lift the handle the latch goes up and down like it should. I do not have a key. this was in the drawer of an early home that was cleaned out here on the seacoast of NH. I believe that these could work if you found the right key. being sold as is. Antique cast iron Eastlake Victorian spring latch. This is larger than normally seen. The body itself is approx. 9" x 2 1/2" at widest x 7/8" high plus ends. Included is the original catch that is a L shape. This must have came off a nice large door such as carriage with details. I acquired this along with other hardware I have listed that also had several layers of paint. I had them sand blasted and repainted about 15 years ago but never used after. The end hook is present but whatever was there originally, is missing and was going to add a decorative old piece of wood or old handle. Mechanism works very good. Victorian Eastlake Table , Nice design , Affordable price
This is just a the nice non Marble top tables. The legs have Nice Eastlake carving and lots of nice burl walnut. Finding these(Non Painted) is getting harder and harder. This one is 19 x26 and 29 inches high and would be good in parlour or a bedroom. The only issue with this table is the top which as you know these tops are made up of several pieces of wood glued up. It looks like there was a separation of glue joint and it was re-glued and filled. This doesn't effect the functionality of the table. If you are very fussy you could have a restorer take it apart and re-glue the top but for moist people this table is perfectly fine. Antique Aesthetic Eastlake Victorian Frame, Grainpainted, Incised
Antique Aesthetic frame dating from about 1880. This American frame has a grain painted center panel. With an ebonized line on either side; over the rabbet and on the outside, continuing to the side. The corners are hand carved, exposing the gesso underneath, giving it a very customized look. The moulding is flat and measures 1 1/2" wide. The frame is about 23 1/2" X 171/2" on the outside, with a rabbet size of a bit more than 21" x 15" Rabbet depth of just under 1/2" There are a few chips on the corners, and a few very small ones under the rabbet on the corners. Offered for auction is this gorgeous Victorian Eastlake walnut footstool. It has been professionally reupholstered in a pattered green velvet fabric with matching gimp. Fabric is in excellent condition and this piece has seen little use since it was reupholstered. Black cloth bottom. Ornate walnut base with applied medallions. Incised carvings, turned spindles and applied burl panels. All the bells and whistles in this piece. There are two joints on each side and I have included four photos to show that what look like cracks are not, they are the joined pieces of wood and they are the same on both sides. Up for auction is an original Antique Eastlake Door Knob Set with Knobs. Spindle, Rosettes, lock, key and Key Escutcheons. They are made of Brass except the spindle. Lock and key which are iron. The knobs measure 2 1/4" in diameter and projects 2 1/4" off the rosette. The rosettes are 2" in diameter and the escutcheons measure 1" x 1 3/4" The lock plate measures 5 1/4" tall and 7/8" wide. The lock body measures 3 1/8" x 3 1/2" comes with screws for mounting door knobs to spindle and a working key. A nice Victorian Eastlake Door Lock Strike Plate. Constructed of heavy thick solid cast brass. Fashioned in a quality of workmanship that is not easily found today. The face of plate is clean with much detail. Marks here or there nothing major or to distracting. The reverse has some sort of adhesive attached which could be removed if you are so inclined. Dimensions for the strike plate are.6 3/4" long x 1 15/16" wide(at widest point) x 1 3/32" wide elsewhere. 5/32" thick.
