Original Bradley and Hubbard "Topsey" -Cast Iron Blinking Eye Clock--RARE
For Sale is this RARE Original Antique Bradley and Hubbard"Topsey" Cast Iron Blinking Eye Clock. This was made after the civil war from 1865-1870. Topsey" represents a ballerina holding a clock. This clock is a 30 hr lever escapement movement and paper on zinc dial with Roman numerals mounted just above the hemline. Wire running mechanical connection provides automation motion to the eyes which move up and down with the escapement action on a oval base. This clock seems to be Original except for the hands on the dial which were replacements. The interior of the left leg looks like it might have a metal reinforcement as it may have been repaired at one time. The leg is extremely sturdy and from the outside you can't tell at all that this has possibly been repaired. The 3 inch paper dial has oxidized with age. The paint is ... moreworn and chipped in areas exposing the cast iron such as the lower front skirt. Back of the skirt, shoes, back of the white stocking on calf as shown in photos. The eyes do indeed blink and the clock ticks but after shipping, I can't guarantee it. The clock is approx 17" tall, 9" wide and 6 1/2" deep with the skirt overextending the back of the black base. This weighs approx 15 lbs. This"Topsey" clock is very desirable and very rare especially in this great condition. This is a reprint(not the original) of the great 1934 Bradley& Hubbard catalog of the metalwares. Styles are mainly art deco but there are some victorian era pieces also still listed in their catalog. The catalog is 47 pages and measures about 8" x 11" It is in excellent condition. Desk pieces. Door stops, lamps, center pieces, book ends, vases, and much more. 100s of items shown with item numbers and sizes. A hard-to-find and superb B& H reference and collectible for this period. Again, this is a quality reprint from the 1980s(I think) not the original.

Original Bradley and Hubbard Continental Man Blinking Eye Clock-circa1851
This is an Original Bradley and Hubbard Blinking Eye Clock- Continental Man from 1851 made in Waterbury Ct.This is not a reproduction as you often see on Ebay. This clock when wound does tick and the eyes do move up and down. As any antique clock. I can not guarantee anything after shipping. This is a heavy Cast Iron Clock. This clock has a 30 hour brass spring driven, time only movement with a balance wheel escapement. This clock has a 3 inch paper dial with Roman Numerals and a glass bezel. The wire running a mechanical connection provides automatic motion to the eyes which move up and down with the escapement action. The screw on the back of the left arm as shown is missing but the clock is still held together tightly with the other screws. The screw on top of the head and behind the right arm are not original screws. It seems as though ... morethe statue of the Continental Man has been repainted in spots as shown in photo. The back of the coat and areas of the boots show paint loss similiar to chips exposing the cast iron. Clearly this clock is very old and does have some paint chips in areas so please look closely but all in all is in great shape for 162 years old! This clock is approx 15 1/2"tall, width of base approx 6" and length of base approx 8" As all Collectors know this is the time to purchase these clocks since they are at a all time low in price compared to 5 years ago when prices were much higher. It is only a matter of time before these go up in value again since these clocks are antiques and never to be made again. 19th Century Bradley & Hubbard Brass Kerosine Lamp With Shade
Being offered for your consideration is a 19th Century brass kerosine lamp by Bradley and Hubbard. Sold brass base with all original fittings and burner as can be seen from the photo. The art glass shade rests on three arms. Strong colors. There is a minor early repair to the top of the shade about 3/4 of an inch as shown in the photo. The latter is only mentioned for accuracy of description. The opening bid in reasonable and is more than likely worth the price of the base alone. It can be converted to electricity; the base has been prepared for this. The class chimney appears to be original to the piece although I am not 100% certain on this. Antique Federal Style Heavy Cast Iron ANDIRONS 20.5"H Bradley & Hubbard Mfg.Co
This is a set of heavy Federal style cast iron andirons circa 1880s. They each measure 20.5" in height. 12' across the bottom and 24" in depth. The pair weighs about 54 lbs. The andirons are marked on the underside of the log billets BRADLEY& HUBBAR in the tringular logo; t he back of the uprights are marked 8846. One of the log billet attachments has an old repair. Otherwise the andirons are in excellent condition. No cracks. Chips or other repairs.

Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Co. was a premier manufacturer of metal accessories from about 1852-1940's. These metal accessories. Both for the home and business, included such items as clocks, lamps, door stops, bookends/consoles, and statutes to list only a very few. These B&H items on the market today are highly collectible and are generally good investments. This cast iron plant/whatnot stand is probably from the late 1800's. This stand is in the original found condition with no known breaks, repairs, missing parts or other damage. The wear is constituent and appropriate for the use and age. There is still gold gilt paint on some of the areas of the stand. The stand is solid and sturdy. It has the letters and numbers of the Company on the underside as seen in pictures 8 and 9. The opal smoke bell is 3 3/4" in height and 4" in diameter at the base. The large slanted shade(also opal) has a 6" fitter. Is 4 3/4" in height and is 15 1/2" in diameter at the base. 129 Year Old 1884 Rare Bradley& Hubbard Kerosene Stove. Heater, Lamp Combo This is vintage unit is over 120 years old. It is very rare and hard to find. This neat and unique piece stands 39 inches tall and 15 inches at the base. The lamp comes out and can be placed on the table. The lamp is marked New Rochester. October 1889 and August 30 1892. The stove has a beautiful ornate brass top that comes off very easily to reveal a plate burner that has a hinged circular cover that swivels out to allow a coffee pot or pan to be heated directly over the open hole. The brass top has a few dings on it but the brass top can be rotated so the dings are on the back side. The stove is dated June 12. 1884 and May 30, 1893. The unique and rare stove. Heater, lamp combo came from an old rustic cabin in Yucca Valley, CA. Beautiful antique. Marked Bradley and Hubbard slag glass lamp. The base is stamped Bradley and Hubbard in a triangle with a# 260 next to the triangle. The lamp cord looks authentic and still usable. There are two light bulbs which are unusual in shape with six sides, the bulb is marked G.E. Mazda 25W 110V. The lamp suckets are marked Bryant 250W 250V Pat'd Nov 26, 1907. The heigth of the base is approx 19" from the bottom to the top of the screw on to hold the shade. There is a beautiful flowral and leaf design on the base. There is no damage on the entire base piece. The diameter of the base is approx 8" The shade has 8 panels of the same size of approx 7 1/2" from the top of the shade to the bottom. The top of the shade across measures approx 1 1/2" and the bottom across measures approx 5 1/2" Most of the clips ... morethat hold the panels in place are available with just a few missing. The glass pieces are secure and in place. Each of the bottom metal retainers that hold the glass panels in place are stamped Pat'd Oct 20, 08, which means 1908. The screw on top of the base screws into the base and care should be exercised when unscrewing the shade from the base because the screw works both ways, it screws into the base and also can be unscrewed from the base leaving the shade at jeapardy of being disconnected from the base. There are no breaks in the metal works and the glass is uniform in shape and size. The base and the shade are both in the condition as described, no cleaning of any kind was attempted in the possibility of damaging the piece. Antique Bradley and Hubbard- B&H Art Nouveau Cast Iron Ashtray/Pipe Tray/Cigars
This is an antique Art Nouveau cast iron tray with attached match box holder made by Bradley and Hubbard. On one side is a profile of a woman with flowing hair and her arm extended along the bottom of the tray. On the opposite side of the ashtray is a flower partially cut out of the iron. The tray measures 8" long. 4" in wide and 3 1/4" high. It is in excellent condition. It has a lovely rich brown patina with a hint of rust. The photos make it appear rusted all over. Antique Bradley Hubbard Table Lamp Base 22" tall Weighted Base
Stately Signed Bradley& Hubbard Table Lamp Base The lamp is tall and quite impressive. It has many issues such as the plug has been cut off. The finish is worn or maybe even gone…I am not sure what it should look like, and there is a wood stick attached to the finial…I would not think this is how it came. There are two bulb sockets and it stands 22" to the top of the finial. It has a weighted base that measures 7 ½” in diameter and the lamp weighs 8.14 pounds. It is clearly marked Bradley& Hubbard Mfg. Co. at the top of the lamp with Pat Applied For. There is also a number embossed into the gold cast iron base. See photos.

This is a rare and beautiful antique American table lamp from the famous firm of Bradley& Hubbard(Meriden. Connecticut 1852-1940) The glass shade has the shape of a modified pine cone and an unusual reverse painted design depicting a blue lattice basket surrounded by gold and green leaves. The body and pedestal are made of hollow bronze. The hand painted design done on each of the 4 panels matches the colors of the lamp. Each of the four panels of the shade is identified by the engraved company name. Bradley& Hubbard Manufacturing Co. The shade measures approximately 17” in diameter and about 9” tall. The shade glass has a vertically ribbed texture on the outside and has an overall frosted look to the inside of the shade. The lamp base is a bronze-bronze color with a crackled texture and is shaped like a slender urn. The lamp has been rewired and at least one socket and one pull is not original. The shade will probably need some cleaning and as I show in one of the pictures. Harp style slag glass desk lamp---similar to Handel and Bradley& Hubbard (B&H)
Nice harp style desk lamp with six panel slag glass shade. The lamp is 13 1/2" tall and 9" wide. The slag glass shade is 7 1/2" wide and 4" tall with a 2 1/4" fitter. The harp and socket are brass and the base appears to be spelter. It's been rewired at some point and works well.The socket is the original weber with a patent dated UNO fitter. Unfortunately the date on the fitter is worn and hard to read. The six panel slag glass shade is in good shape with no cracks or losses. Please veiw all the pictures. The dolphins are in great condition with an attractive design with scrolled tails facing each other and a untouched natural patina with very little of the original paint remaining. One of the iron fire dogs have a professional blacksmith repair of an old break which in no way hinders the beauty or usefulness and can still come apart as they are meant to. Found in a local estate.This was converted to electric a long time ago and the wires are shot.The wires are coming thru the filler cap which is missing. Looks like it might have had prisms at one time. This frame is brass.The shade is white with a hand painted scene of a castle on a cliff on one side and a windmill on opposite with mountains and trees thru out. The hook is marked but hard to see. The frame does show wear and some dings and dents.The top has a chain driven pulley system but does need work. This auction is for a really awesome Bradley and Hubbard nickle plated cast iron mirrored 3 arm sconce. This piece is beautifully ornate and in really nice condition. The piece measures about 16" long and about 9" wide. The iron work is incredible. With scrolls and East lake style sconce arms. At the top is a portrait of Bachcus, the Roman God of wine and intoxication. The nickle plating is in excellent condition and most of these that you see are in a brass finish. I have taken pictures with and without a flash. The first are it's true color and the others look gold but are there just to show better detail. The mirror is in nice condition for it's age with only a little light spotting near the top. The sconce arms are a bit loose and may need a different screw to hold them tighter to the piece. Description I have listed an Antique B& H. Bradley& Hubbard, Victorian Easel-Back Desk Thermometer in a Scrolled Art Nouveau-Style Metal Frame with a Cherub. It is marked"B& H" and"3561" on the back. The frame measures approximately 6" wide x 13 1/2" high x 8 1/4" deep when fully opened. It is in really great shape and is free of any chips, cracks or repairs. The thermometer is pulling away from the metal a little on the top right. There is also some wear to the thermometer backing where the gold coloring has come off. Connecticut where the focus of Nathaniel Bradley and Walker Hubbard was on metal goods. They became. In the early 1900's, forerunners in desk accessories and inkwells. Made of polished cast brass with hinged covers, this Art N ouveau. Double oval, low-relief, inkwell is estimated ca. 1920. In perfect condition a double well like this with its wide heavy base and tapering wells might bring over two-hundred dollars. The pictures show it is in very good antique condition. It has been polished. The pics make it appear scratched. The lettering on the biscuit is B&H Biscuits with a Crown. The monogram Bradley and Hubbard Lamp and metalwork company in Meriden Connecticut. Which made some exquisite whimsical things during their heyday. We are told that the mouse was a calling card for the Bradley Hubbard salesmen and was given as Christmas presents to loyal customers. The figure measures 4" long and 2 3/8" wide. These paperweights have been found in bronze. Lead, and in cast iron. This one to be made of bronze, based on the exposed tail and underneath the flaked paint. The figure is in overall good condition with some minor paint loss consistent with age. This is an antique Stained/Slag Glass lamp of unknown make. It could be Tiffany. Handel, Bradley& Hubbard, ect. The bottom of the lamp has two numbers, one is"8" and the other is"577" It has a patent date on the light sockets for July 6 1909, which is for the adjustable lamp sockets. This lamp is missing one of the pull chords for one of the lights and the cord has been replaced. It stands 26" tall and the base is 6.5" in diameter. The shade is 14" square.

This listing is for a beautiful. Antique Bradley& Hubbard, electrified oil lamp. It measures 16.5" to the top of the socket area and about 6.5" square across the bottom of the base. The bottom of the base is marked with the number 311. The tank knob is marked B&H, and the wick knob is marked: Pat Applied For. The lamp has a pull chain switch. We have tested it, and it does work. When the converted the lamp, they didn't damage the tank, so it can be converted back to oil. If you look at the last photo, you can see that there is a split in the ring that fits over the base of the lamp. The plug end should probably be replaced, it's old, and the cardboard piece that covers the opening is missing. Shipping is based on 14lbs, packed weight.

All original art nouveau Bradley and Hubbard kerosene lamp with the original glass shade. The lamp measures 16 inches tall without the chimney. And 22 inches with the chimney. The font is decorated with a floral scroll pattern. The lamp has applied leaves on a black base, and black wrought iron legs. The flame spreader has two patent dates on it. July 1890, and June 1896. Here are a pair. of solid bronze/brass dolphins cast for making a pair of ANDIRON's for a fire place. We are more inclined to believe they are bronze being they never have corroded after hanging on our bathroom wall for over 35 years. To clarify them. The picture to the far right are a pair of"cast iron" andiron's that sold on ebay last week for around $413 delivered. These two that we have after close examination are the exact same casting only in bronze/brass without the brackets to put the legs on them that go out the back to hold the logs in your fireplace. We bought these over 35 years ago to use them as decorative pieces to hang in our bathroom as you see not knowing just what they were for. I did a little research, a lamp just like this was sold at November 2006 Fine Art& Antiques Auction Catalog Aspire Auctions, Inc. for $212. Back then it was valued at $150-$300 I don't know what it's worth now.There are a lot of similar ones made of bronze that sell cheaper, but very few made of cast. Don't be fooled by imitations. The woman's eyes roll back and forth continuously. This clock has a hand painted cast iron case and stands 11 1/2" tall on a polished wood base.
