Antique T&V Limoges. Set of eight understated and elegant fine French porcelain dinner plates. Marked with the T&V green underglaze mark of Tressemann& Vogt of Limoges France. These plates dates from 1892-1907. The set was sold by Davis Collamore& Co. Ltd. of Broadway& 21st Street New York. Whose name also appears on the pieces, marked in overglaze raspberry pink. This turn of the century pattern features a green stripe with embossed gold borders. The delightful design of the gold trim includes rows of tiny raised hearts. These plates measure 9 5/8” 24.5 cm) in diameter. This wonderful set is in excellent condition. With no chips, cracks, or repairs. The set must have been very gently used, because we found no utensil scratches. The brilliant gold decoration is in excellent condition as well with no worn areas. There is ... morea very small factory flaw on one plate. This flaw appears to be a slightly indented edge that is under the gold trim. It does not look like it has been re-touched as the gold appears to be the original factory applied gold; so we feel that this tiny imperfection occurred in the making and is original to the piece. Doorplates, and mortise lock share a handsome vernacular design and were created by Kean& Doty around 1885. All pieces are c ast iron. And the Victorian pattern appears on both the fronts and backs of the doorknobs. These pieces have minimal wear and the lock works well with the newer key. Very nice design and a great set. Doorknobs are 2 1/4" diameter. Plates are 1 1/2" by 5 1/2" Mortise lock faceplate is 7/8" wide and 5 1/2" long. Charles Ahrenfeldt did work for Limoges. The bowl is just beautiful and is 11" long by 8" wide by 2 1/2" high. The Plates are 8 3/4" in diameter. The following is some information we found regarding Ahrenfeld and Saxe. Charles Ahrenfeldt& Son Importer- New York City. New York(USA) Ahrenfeldt was a New York importer. SET OF 6 ANTIQUE 1795-1810 ENGLISH BLUE & WHITE TIN GLAZED PLATES / ANCIENT RUIN
These six matching plates are in lovely condition. With no chips, cracks or hairlines, and considering that after over 200 years the set has not been separated or broken, one can only imagine are a rare find! Part of what might account for the integrity of the set is that they were purchased in England in the 1950s by an American antique dealer, and shut away well packaged in a warehouse until just recently. Each plate measures 10" 23.4 cm) in diameter. These plates are thinner than a lot of plates from this time and feel good to hold. These plates are not marked, as many of the early ones were not. The rim of each plate has a lovely fruit and flower border with grapes, melons, apples, stylized foliage and flowers with large pistols. The scenes are in a hexagonal frame laced with tiny swirls. These scenes were of great interest during ... morethe Regency Period(1790 to 1815) which gave way to sporting scenes and then floral motifs as the 19th century moved on. Spode was a leader in all patterns at the time, and also shared their engravings by Thomas Milton, taken from three volumes of"Views of Asia,Etc. The Clews Pottery, Swansea, Baker, and Bevins& Irwins were just some of the other potters that had access to Spode's patterns. Views that were implemented included those from Egypt, Palestine, The Ottoman Empire,Rhodes,Cypress, Corinth, Carthage, Tripoli, Constantinople, Rome and Greece.Great liberties were taken with the flora and fauna of each place. These particular plates depict a temple with an arch, a camel and several people, with palms, mountains and sailboats in the background. I have seen this pattern, only once before, a 4" by 6" oval platter, marked $195.00, that was unmarked as well. Each plate has three tiny marks on the front and back that are left from the apparatus used to stack and separate each plate during firing in the kiln, that are to be expected. Vintage lot 10 Rare Antique Dresser Drawer Pulls Knobs Medallion Back Plates
This is for the vintage drawer pulls you see in the pictures. The first picture shows every thing you will get the rest are closeups. These are not shiny new pulls and they do have wear and patina from age. The 10 on the right as you look at the pictures are all good the row of knobs down the middle keeps them seperate for the other side that have broken larger holes in the middles. As the holes are not too big I thought if you needed a few extra I think a cleaver place washer would work to cover the hole and keep the knob in place. Two antique etched plates. I don't know the dates. But many items from this owner range in age from the 1930's to 1960's. The flat plate has star design in the middle and floral etching around the outside. The top of plate is smooth and has a lot of wear-tiny hairline scratches. Perhaps it was used as a butter dish. Measures 6.25 inches in diameter. The center handle serving plate has leaf etching design on the backside. The diameter is 6 inches and handle is 2.5 inches tall. This auction is for a Set of 8 Beautiful Antique Porcelain Plates made by William Guerin& Co. of Limoges. France. The plates all measure about 7 1/2 inches across and have a nicely scalloped edge. They are clearly a set but there are three different Floral center designs that are slightly different from one another(see photos 4. 5& 6) There are 4 plates of the one group of flowers; 3 plates of another group of flowers; and a single plate of the last group of flowers. All the plates have groupings of flowers on the rim border separated by bold gold lines and a gold edge. Each plate has two Guerin marks. One in green and the other in red. The backstamps date the plates to between 1891 and 1932. The set is in very good condition. Especially for its age. The images are bright and vivid and the porcelain is glossy white. 800x600 Miniature porcelain bird plates& pedestals pre WWII Japan antique. 4 beautiful handpainted porcelain bird plates. These plates have attached porcelain pedestals! Outstanding detail! I think these were made during the early 1900s. They are stamped simply“ JAPAN” on the bottoms. One of them. The robin? has a chip on the left side(see photos) The gold trim around the rims is worn in places. They all need to be cleaned. They measure a bit less than 2” across the diameter of the plates. Antique Kohler Liebich Liberty Chimes-Xylophone-4 Tone Plates-Dinner
This listing is for a vintage used Kohler Liebich Liberty Chime. This has 4 tone chime plates over a wooden base and it measures 8 3/4” x 6 3/4” x 2 3/4” high. These chimes are also known as Dinner Chimes and have seen use on ships. Railroads and even radio stations such as NBC. These were popular in the 1920’s to 1940’s period and this chime is probably from that time period. Back of chimes has two fold down hang holes for wall mounting and a Kohler Liebich Company label. This chime is similar to a scaled down xylophone and has a good sound to it. Condition is good but there is some plating loss on chime plates and a chip in the wood base on the right bottom corner.
