Which it appears someone tried to remove- it is completely secure but is a little"off" as shown. The Webster hallmark(a W with an arrow-like symbol through it) is very light but can be seen beside the sterling mark on the mirror, and on the handle of the nail file, in the right light. The sconces are made of solid. Heavy brass with a wonderful patina. Each one weighs almost 5 pounds. The back of each is marked with an"S" Each sconce features a double candle holder. I believe the candle holders originally had crystals hanging from them, and are now missing. These can be easily obtained from most home improvement stores or a salvage store. Old Antique Meissen Dresden Small Porcelain Mirror with Angels Helena Wolfsohn This is a very old and cute Meissen/ Dresden(Helena Wolfsohn- circa 1860's) mirror with Angels and flowers surrounding the 6 inch tall by 4 inch wide oval mirror and frame. There is only minor damage to the flowers. But the little angels have had a rough ride. The angel on the right has lost one wing and her foot along with a flower on her head. The angel on the left has lost a few toes and her flower on her head. Their is a lot of wear on the gold balls which act as a base to the mirror. In spite of all of the problems, this is still a very adorable mirror. It has the old AR Meissen mark or the Dresden Helena Wolfsohn mark(I am not sure which) at the tip of the mirror between the angels. The angels are looking for a good home. This Auction is for An Antique Empire Period Doll Dresser. It stands approx. 29 inches high X 16 inches wide X 9 inches deep. Bureau has two deep drawers with wooden knobs. All is original on this piece. You can see at some point in time the mirror must of split in two and another piece of wood was added. Piece has a very dark walnut stain. Antique Victorian Brass Mirror w/ Figurine - Rare
For your consideration is an antique heavy brass mirror from the late 1880's to early 1900's. It is adorned with leaves. Roses,scrolls and the beautiful figurine of a girl leaning on the mirror. She is wearing a long gown that is tucked behind her and lays at her knees in front. The glass has an old smoky tint to it and appears to be original glass. The glass is nearly 1/2" thick and is securely fit into the back of the frame and held in with heavy screw on metal prongs. The"lean to" holding the mirror up is heavy brass and folds in if one were to hang the mirror rather than display it on a table. The mirror is signed by the number 352 stamped on the right rear corner. Thoroughly inspected for cracks, dents, fractures. There are none. Perfect condition. Measures 11" tall and 7 1/2" wide. Weighs 2.46 pounds.

Stamp of anchor is seen on the brush(lacking G or lion which would indicated Gorham) which could be a date mark from the maker, but no maker mark is seen on either piece. The set is an estate set that shows some wear but overall is in excellent condition. Mirror's silvered backing has deteriorated as seen in photo. I believe the brush bristles are synthetic. The pieces are monogrammed as shown in photos. Handles are hollow. Excellent craftsmanship. The actual frame of the chest seems to be in good condition, although the interior has been painted at some point and is flaking badly. The outside, dark green paint is patchy in the best sort of way, but could also be refinished. The mirror has some patina to it but is still clear enough to be useful. The inside has nice shelf supports, although the glass shelves would need replaced as none have survived. The overall measurements are 21 1/4 inches wide x 25 inches tall x 6 inches deep. But overall the gilt is ver y good. The paper label on the wooden back is of J F Cabot& Brother of Su dbury St reet in Boston. I'll google them and see if I can give some dates of being in bus iness. This a large 19th century antique mirror in the original apple green and black paint. What a great primitive look it has! It measures 33" tall and 23" wide and 1 1/2" thick. I believe it has been pegged together as very few nails are visible. It has scratches. Chippy paint and spots on the old silvering mirror. Everything it needs to bring true primitive charm to your home! Antique Victorian Style Hand Held Mirror Vanity Mirror with Medallion- As Is. About 13 1/8" long. 5" beveled glass mirror(5 1/4" including frame) Obviously. This once-beautiful item is damaged: glass is broken(I've left it here to show the beveled edge. But would be willing to remove the glass before shipping if desired) handle is bent in such a way that when the mirror is glass side down on a flat surface. The far end of the handle is over 1" above that surface. the bending of the handle impacted the frame that holds the glass. Pulling the frame away from the glass, especially at the bottom near the handle. the same accident has also caused a bend in the back side of the mirror: there's a dip in the metal. Just below the medallion, and the medallion itself is tipped. the picture on the medallion has been rubbed ... moreoff in the top center. it needs a careful cleaning. I don't know whether this can be repaired and the glass replaced. But what a beautiful mirror it could be! On the plus side. I noted that there are five floral-design tabs that hold the mirror in place. These are all intact. A friend(born 1940) was given this mirror. Her mother's(I don't know its history before that) When it broke, she threw it out. I rescued it over 50 years ago, but have never followed through with repair. Stunning Antique Cast Iron Beveled Glass Wall Mirror 145-2 Double Fish Design Went to the flea market this weekend hoooray- so happy to have it back. Lotsandlotsandlots of antiques and unique for you this week. And I’ll be listing all week, so be sure to keep checking! This is a drop-dead-gorgeous antique cast iron beveled glass mirror. Marked on the backside simply 145-2. I cannot find a maker's mark. It has a very fancy design of two fish on either side of what looks like an urn to me on top, and decorative scolly shapes all around the perimeter. It weighs 3 3/4 lbs. and measures 19 1/4" tall by 6 3/8" wide, and the inside opening for the mirror is 11 5/8" by 3 5/8" It has a wonderful dark brass colored finish that actually has shades of green- like oxidation in spots, like on the top corners. The frame is cast iron ... morefor sure, though- a magnet sticks to it. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The frame has a loop on the backside for hanging, and a dark paperboard behind the mirror that also can bee seen at the back. It is held in place by little swing arms. There's some silver loss to the mirror in each corner- I'm trying to show you in photo 11 at the upper right hand corner- you see the same in the other corners too, and you really have to look for it as it's right at the corner. The lower left corner has a 1/4 spot that is raised a little more above the corner- you can see that the black paper board is broken off at this corner, and the swing arm just touching the back of the mirror- I'm assuming the cause of the damage- it's still minor. The mirror has light spotting, and scratching from age, and it is very dirty and could use a good cleaning, but that is it. You can see what looks like water marking on the back paper board, but not evidence of it damaging the mirror at all, and there's something that looks like a name written in what looks like red waz crayon on the board- I can't make it out. Antique mirror made of heavy metal which I think is bronze. Sorry. Not expert enough to know for sure. I bought in England many years ago. It weighs 4.5 pounds and measures 14.5" x 9" Ornate sculpted metal is beautiful. Shades of bronze color have worn through parts which make me think it is bronze. Has stand on back. Antique embossed tin framed mirror with a slightly brassy coloration. It's in really nice condition. I don't see any damage. It measures 23 1/2" x 13 1/2" with a central mirror that measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" The beveled mirror& side panel mirrors show quite a few age spots& streaks. You can see on the backside how the top panel brace has been glued into place. It looks like it had been screwed in at one point as well. The panel on back is loosely held in by nails. The portrait is a transfer. And is in good condition with the exception of a little wear to the posterior of the left cherub. The rim of the portrait is stunning, a bright gilt rim with the tiniest of wear to the very edge near the handle. Nothing significant though. There are no chips or restorations to the porcelain. The mirror is original, heavily bevelled, and clear, but note that there is a little silvering loss at the 10 o’clock position and at the 1 o’clock position and teeny black spots at the 7 o’clock position. The frame is very ornate and a bit loose, but this can be tightened because the little screw at the bottom is still present. It is a very heavy ... morepiece. The drawer is dovetailed and the piece has its original hardware. There is a triangular label inside the drawer that reads MADE IN GRAND RAPIDS TRADEMARK REGISTERED GRM. The pulls on the cabinet are push button release. Very unique. The cabinet opens to a large storage area. The front legs have claw feet. The cabinet sits on casters. On the back side ... morethere is a round label that reads NEW ENGLAND FURNITURE CO. SIDEBOARDS AND BUFFETS NO. 1714. There is a ring on the shelf above the mirror and a couple of partial rings on the cabinet top. There appears to be a burn mark on the cabinet top as well. The veneer on the crown is splitting and bubbling. On one drawer the veneer is split in one spot as well. The varnish on the front of the doors is pretty thin. This is antique, it will not be perfect. I do not know the exact date this buffet was made. This piece measures 59 ¼ inches tall, 42 1/8 inches side to side and 25 ¾ inches front to back. Antique Victorian Oak Purdonium or Coal Scuttle Stand with Mirror c. Late 1800's
Uncommon antique Victorian purdonium or coal scuttle stand. Beautifully grained oak stand with a small mirror with bevelled edges. Piece is on castors and has handles on the side to allow it to be moved easily. Tilting storage area looks like it has a tin lining for storing coal. The front has a beautiful design of scrollwork and garlands. Elaborately curved sides lead from the top of the cabinet up to a miniature bonnet top with scrolled sides and a flower in the middle. These pieces are more common in the U.K. But rarely seen here in the U.S. Most likely dates from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. Overall. The stand is in very good condition. There is a very small amount of seperation on the sides where the two boards join. See pictures. The tin lining is also worn and a little beaten up, probably from use. Antique Apollo Gilded Jeweled Dresser Set Mirror Powder Jar Dresser Jar NR
Antique Apollo dresser set consisting of a long nad mirror. Small powder jar and larger dresser jar. These had a beautiful gilding at one time. Now the bronze is showing through since the gilding is wearing off. Each piece is jeweled. And all jewels appear original except for one on the glass dresser jar that is a lighter green color. Condition is decent for age but not spectacular. Mirror measures 15" long. Small powder jar measures 3 1/8" in diameter and the larger dresser jar measures 2 3/4" in diameter and stands just over 3 1/2" tall. The glass portion does have a chip that you can see in the photos when the lid is off. Offered at no reserve!

Art Nouveau Silver Mirror Locket… This is very pretty Art Nouveau Silver Mirror locket by Gerbrüder Falk or Friedrich(Fritz) Heinrich Falk brothers. The design is has been attributed to Fritz Falk and a Gold version is in the Pforzheim Museum. Germany. It is also featured in Gold in my favourite book of the moment(page 174) Art Nouveau Jewellery from Pforzheim by Arnoldsche– if you love Art Nouveau Jewellery you will love this book. Pforzheim was a huge centre for the manufacture of Art Nouveau jewellery including those made for wholesaler Murrle Bennett& Co and sold through Liberty’s of London. This very beautiful original period pendant C.1900. Which depicts a woman with dragon fly wings and the sinuous form of an iris flower. It is SUPERBLY made and the detailing is exceptional.
