I dont know what the inlayed wood carvings are.Im guessing the outside is oak because it only stands about 8 1/2 inches tall but weighs 6 pounds.The carving on the left hand side is a woman washing clothes in a wash tub with a hut and palm tree in the back ground.The carving on the right is a water bufallo with a hut and palm tree in the back ground. The words"MOTHER" are carved on the top. CONDITION: Small chip in the rim of the slate ground to the micromosaic decoration at about the 5 o'clock position as shown in the pics. Heavy little piece for its size(weighs about ¼ ounce) Has black, blue, red and yellow enameling on the front. The back has a book with a sword emblem. It appears to be gold plated as I can see some wear to the gold surface along the edges in places. In very nice used condition. Dated between the end of the 19th century and the first couple of decades of the 20th century, consists of five stick pins, one brooch and one collar clip. The ship wheel pin is a Krementz(rolled gold, heavy gold fill) the Victorian floral locket pin is gold plated, the Edwardian black glass and sparkling spiral is marked 1/20 12kgf, the Edwardian brooch is thick gold filled wire with a C clasp closure that has a very early safety lock. The 1920s-30s domed pin is a celluloid cabochon enclosing dried flowers(there are a few stress cracks in the celluloid) in a gold plated frame and pin and the stud earring back that is substituted for a pin guard came with it. The early 20th Century initial R pin is made of slightly thinner gold filled wire than the ... morebrooch, with a machined end, no guard came with it. A cute group of cameos in different shapes. Sizes, and colors! All of these cameos are in excellent shape and are not genuine cameos but most of them have the look of real cameos. The largest of the group bears the most resemblance to a nice cameo. Stone, Crystal or Metal(no plastic in the bagged findings and beads) A little of this and a little of that from antique and vintage to modern costume jewelry findings and more This is a lot of thousands of findings, some new. Some vintage, some used, some antique some are bagged and ready for use or resale and some are ready for harvesting from interesting single earrings. Broken and worn jewelry this is a fun lot with plenty of goodies for crafting. Jewelry making scrap-booking and more. This lot will be shipped in a medium flat rate priority box. The bagged items: The many bagged items include glass and rhinestone beads and cabochons along with many metal findings and clasps as well. There are some Juliana sized ... morerhinestones and some tiny sized Swarovski rhinestones too. there are modern and vintage metal findings. Clasps, earrings wires, etc. These bagged items are a decent assortment of jewelry making supplies and findings. Below is a highlight of some of the bagged items. There are some beautiful green jade colored. Square, stone beads and there is also a bag full of green and blue glass beads, rhinestones and cabochons(that I layed out in the photos) Some of the glass is West German and some is Czech as well. Others are harvested from necklaces from Japan, USA and Hong Kong, or bought at, Mountain Beadworks, The Black Bead, La Mesa Beadery and other places along my path. There are three bags of rich champagne glass. Luminous faux pearls(one is graduationg size and is antique- in great condition for the age of the beads) There are no plastic beads within the bagged items shown. However. I may give some vintage or quality plastic bagged items as gifts. but those are gifts. There is a bag of mixed milk glass beads/cabochons many are from Germany.
