This grandfather clock was made by an unknown clock maker for the Bailey Banks and Biddle jewelry store in Philadelphia. PA. The clock has a great federal style to the mahogany case. The clock has been running since we picked it up at auction. It also strikes the hours on the hour and strikes once at the half hour. Has a very deep gong sound to it. So. Selling the clock in running, and striking condition. This clock could is called a grandfather or tall case clock. As it is more than 75" tall. The dark stained mahogany case on this clock looks very good. No major chips. Splits, or missing pieces that I can ascertain. This clock has a lot of fireplace or pipe smoke soot on the finish. I have wiped it down twice now, but will still need a good cleaning by the owner, so that the original wood luster can truly be appreciated. You could barely see the graining of the wood when I first started wiping it down! The case has a great design on the front of the case at the corner angles. And check out the great hood on this clock! The scrolling and even the wood finials are in place and all look proper to the clock. Amazingly these very delicate looking wood finials have made it thru intact over all these years. The metal locking latches are in place on the back of the case as well. Some drip of something from the top on the right side of the hood. See pic. Did not attempt to remove it, again we just wipe the precious items down we find. We do not give them a deep cleaning, nor do we refinish them. We sell them with the original patina condition we find them in. Again. All the wood and trim is still with the clock. The works are signed Revere works which im told were originally produced by Herschede of Cincinatti. The Herschede Clock Company was located in Cincinatti.OH and in 1929 formed the Revere Clock Company for their electric telechron clocks. Antique grandfather clock movement & matching dial
English or Scottish. Perhaps from the 1850's i would assume. Strikes on a big bell. Tic's when pressure is applied to the big wheel. Dial post's fit exactly in the holes of the movement so i think it is safe to say this is a matched dial and movement. Looks like it may need to be cleaned. Probably also some light repair considering it's age. The colors on the dial are still vibrant although it probably could use a cleaning. little if any rust! No weights.No pulleys, or pendulum.

Antique 1840's Scottish Tall Case/Long Case/Grandfather Clock Mahogany Project
This Scottish beauty needs a good home. This came from an estate of a collector of amazing things. He dreamed of restoring this to its former glory but ran out of time. I sent photos to two auction houses/galleries that specialize in tall case clocks. I was told by both this clock dates between 1840 and the 1850's. It is mahogany, I see no markings on the movement. The movement does spin when twisted by hand, the second hand and minute hand turn. The face is painted on an enamel or porcelain and depicts the four corners of the UK, England, Ireland Wales and Scotland. The case itself has condition issues. The top finial is not connected and is missing some of the mount, no counter weights, it has a base but I am not sure it is original. Some veneer has peeled. ANTIQUE GERMAN ARTS & CRAFTS OAK LONG CASE GRANDFATHER CLOCK
Offered for auction is this fine antique German long case oak grandfather clock. The works are signed cymbal-gong D.R.G.M. I have had this clock for about 12 years and had it serviced at that time. It still keeps good time and runs well. The pendulum and weights appear original. The face is brass and hammered in the center section. You can see some black areas that I am not sure are tarnish or wear. The hands are painted metal and they show wear from age as well. The case overall is very good looking. There are two doors. The bottom one has three long beveled glass panels. There is a little loss to the wood panel in back and a very narrow crack that could be easily filled but it cannot be seen with the door closed so I never bothered. Otherwise just a few small scratches. Overall height is 78" and it is 17 1/2" wide and 9" ... moredeep. I am offering this for pickup in the Los Angeles area however if a buyer would like to arrange for shipping and packing that would be fine as well. Sold without a reserve.

Antique Bawo Dotter Grandfather Clock 1906
Bawo& Dotter was established in New York City in the 1860s to import porcelain. Especially from Limoges, into the USA. In the early 1870s they established The Elite Works in Limoges to decorate porcelain made by other factories. Their production included table china, decorative pieces and trinket boxes. Some of their marks incorporated St. Martial from the seal of the City of Limoges. Porcelain production was interrupted during WWI. Shortly after the war, they bought the William Guerin company(which had purchase the Pouyat company) and the company became Guerin-Pouyat-Elite, apparently continuing use of all three company marks. The company closed in 1932. Bawo& Dotter also had large operations in Austria and Czechoslovakia. With completely different marks The Bawo Dotter Building is still standing on 33 rd Street right across from ... morethe Empire State Building. The last time I was there it housed a souvenir shop. Bawo Dotter imported a wide variety of items. Including Clocks. They hold the Patents on many of the mechanics, including the movement on this clock which bears the Elite Works of Germany stamp. Bawo Dotter also holds the Patents on the Tubular Bells used in their clocks. This Clock stands 95” tall and is 28”x 18.5” at the base. There is Beveled Glass on 3 sides. It keeps excellent time with proper pendulum adjustment. And chimes accurately on the quarter hour as well as strikes on the hour. The case is Mahogany and is in original condition with some scratches, that can be expected from an over 100 year old clock. The only issue is the linen on the back of the clock is torn and will need to be replaced. Also, it is missing the finial, which was missing at the time that I acquired it. As for the age. The Patent date on the Chime Tower is 1904. I do know for certain that it was manufactured prior to 1909 because this clock was presented as a gift to a member of a local Scranton Pa Catholic Church in celebration of his Jubilee as a Priest and there is a plaque on it with his name as well as those of oth

Almost 9' tall, beveled glass in the bonnet and waist door, solid mahogany with an original surface. Store This is an unbelievable 40 year old• Grandfather clock made by Emperor Clock Company all original with Erhard Jauch Uhrenfabrik Germany movement. It is stamped on the back PENDELL 110C and a set of numbers 205088 It is weight driven by chains and I have never had a problem with it keeping correct time and the moon dial works good as well. The entire Clock looks and works very good. The Westminster chimes on the 1/4hr.1/2Hr, 3/4hr and full hour and sounds very nice. I have kept it serviced. I am sure it is a rare clock to find in this condition. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have a 2 year old and it keeps her up you can turn the chime off but what's the point of having such a nice grandfather clock that you can't hear the chime. There is one piece of side molding on the right side which is loose and will need to be re-secured. Looks like it might be missing the small back panel on the hood as shown in photos– not sure. The largest bell was on a wood works grandfather clock probably the oldest piece in the lot. Counting the stack of coil gong there are over 25 pieces. Antique Grandfather Clock. This clock dates back to 1920's{ it may be older than that] There are little etchings on the clock face corners by the previous owners that date to 1920's. The only other marking we can find is on the middle of the face that reads 1753[ not sure what that means] Top piece of the clock is off. Because of low ceilings. It attaches back on and is not broken off. The key to the clock is stamped Waterbury clock company, so I am assuming the movement is also a Waterbury. This item is for pick-up only due to its size. Item is an auction only. Being sold as is. Any questions you have I will try my best to answer. Thanks for looking. After further research found out it was made by the Ithaca Clock Company in the 1800's. Clock is running and keeping perfect time. This is an antique granddaughter clock. Not sure of the year but very old. The clock does work and it is electric. I understand a grandfather clock stands 7' or more. A grandmother clock stands 6'3" or less and a granddaughter clock stands 5' 2" or less. This one stands 5' 1" high with out the wood piece design on top. RARE ANTIQUE GRANDFATHER CLOCK MOVEMENT, WOODEN PULLEYS AND SPINDLES, UNSIGNED
Very old clock. I don't see any numbers or marking. I think is from a long clock because of the the length of the pulley cords. The hands of the clock turn and feel like a normal clock moving gears inside. I've read that pre1850 clocks were made with more wooden parts due to the price of metal in those days. The spindles which the cords are rolled onto are wooden with metal gear ends. Parts all look handmade. The pulleys are wooden as well. This item is sold ASIS the dial is flaking off badly what remaining is barely hanging on. There was a"a" attached but fell off. But it's original placement led me to believe the makers name ended with an"a" I'll send all the dial chips with the clock. Will package carefully but will not guarantee more paint will chip off. I can't find another clock like this one ... moreto compare too. The clock face/dial measures 11" Their are no weights or pendulum included. Upper over-sized crown section with a split scroll shaped pediment connected with a roped border above reverse painted glass panels of blue and gold. Arched top glass door opening to an applied gilt decorative molding border, silver numeral band with hand executed roman numerals and numbers. Smaller upper second hand, with matching pierced hand pointers. Upper moon phase dial with fantastic details with gilt painted day counter. Face marked and signed"Wm Lanson Newton" Whole crown is supported by reeded Corinthian columns with bronze attachments. The works of the clock being made of with a single iron bell cap and gong and using braided rope. Clock currently ... moreis not in working condition. The suspension bridge(hold the pendulum in place) is broken(see photo) Easily repaired but I will leave that up to the buyer. Body of the clock with multiple molded beveled layers with carved band over a shaped door flanked by canted corners with lower quoins shaped block moldings. AMAZING ANTIQUE ORNATE BRASS CASED GRANDFATHER CLOCK WEIGHTS NR
I purchased these at an estate sale of a German clock collector. The family said these beautiful weights for grandfather clock. I do not know anything about them so I have taken detailed pictures for your perusal. They are gorgeous and unusual. I polished them a little bit to see the detail of the brass. But they need much more polishing and they will be wonderful! They are in good condition. There are no dents on the engraved body. Only a couple of dents on the top. And also one of the hooks on one of the tops is broken. Please see pictures. I believe they are all brass. No sure. They each weigh 6.6 pounds and are 9" long. Antique Brass Face Tall Case Clock / Grandfather - R Nottle Launceston 1700's
I have this Antique Tall Case Clock/ Grandfather Clock with a brass engraved face. It is supposed to be from the 1700's and from the research I did. It appears to look right(for the most part) The face has R NOTTLE. LAUNCESTON and an engraved scene. I could not find anything about R. NOTTLE- I assume that is the clockmaker. The movement is a single weight. Chain drive, that drives both the clock and the strike(which strikes on the hours only) at the same time There is a half moon opening with a brass disc. There is no numbers or designs on the disc- also it does not seem to be attached to anything in the movement. Not sure is something is missing or what the full story about that part is. It runs. I took the movement out to take some pictures and when i put it back the pendulum and movement ran; but the hands did not move. I took it out- ... moretouched and pressed on a couple of things- put it back and it was working again. Not sure what I did to make the difference. Interesting to note that the case is dovetailed all over. check out the pics closely. Around the face. Along the front of the case in several places. Nice decorative carvings all down the front.as well. The cabinet is approx 7" 2" tall(top of the finials) In very good condition especially considering it is 200 plus years old. The front bottom panel has a large crack(shrink) that was filled in with wood filler? that is falling out) The finials are newer replacements. The weight is a heavy copper sleeve filled with lead. The pendulum is jointed. The front is a brass half shell with the back lead filled. Not sure about shipping(how or who to take it to) I am suggesting Pick-up is the best. I put a Shipping cost of $500.00; but I am just guessing(Ups Freight or something like that) If I do not put anything in; the listing does not show up further than my backyard. For sale is an antique mahogany case 9-tube Herschede Hall Clock Co. Grandfather Clock made in Cincinnati. OH. Based on the serial number(7796) it appears to be from 1920. The clock is 92" high. 23" wide, and about 16" deep. It is in perfect working order and has been professionally cleaned, moved, and maintained by The Grandfather Clock Company in Columbus, OH. There is a blemish on the clock face where someone had tried using polish which shouldn't have been done. There is also some slight separation of the cloth in the side doors. All keys are included and all of the beveled glass is pristine. The inside of the front door has the Panama Pacific International Exposition 1915 Grand Prize emblem but the clock is not from that year. Up for auction is a family heirloom I have been carefully transporting from home to home and it is now time for you to transport it into your home and enjoy it for years to come. Here's my problem though. I do not know much about the grandfather clock other than it belonged to my Mom's family and she grew up in Monroe, NY on the family farm which dated back to the early 1800's. I know this because of the family grave site in Monroe which has all the generations of family there. From what I knew from my Mom the clocks 100% in tact except for a rather aggressive cleaning years back by a friend of my Mom that has fatigued the finish on the wood and I know she had the clock face repainted. Aside from that I know the clock works as do the chimes and the glass is totally intact as well. I have received a lead on this clock and I can ... morenow pretty safely say(after some extensive Googling) that the clock is an early 1900's Ithaca Tall Case Clock manufactured by the Ithaca Clock Company of NY. This does combine well with my Mom's farm in Monroe. NY so I am feeling very good about the lead I was given by a fellow Ebayer. I found another example being handled by an Antique Auction House and they have described the clock as" Painted metal dial. 1753" solid cherry, broken arch top with brass finials, brass trim on hood door and base, 88" tall X 18" wide and 10" deep. I know the chime works but I do not wind it for obvious reasons. Will demonstrate on pickup. Never forget, the right hand winding receptacle is for the clock and the left hand winding receptacle winds the chimes. Either way. I have one move left and it has been decided the clock is not coming with me so please, bring this beautiful collectors piece into your home and enjoy it as I have for over 50 years! This clock was first seen at the Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915. Which my Grandparents attended. And later is where they purchased this Herschede Grandfather Clock Serial# 6886, which confirms that the clock was built in 1918 and is now looking forward to celebrating its 100th birthday.
